%%* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The entire soundtrack, from the opening credits to the end credits.
%%"The entire soundtrack" is not a proper example. Be specific.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Frank and Poot. They had a handful of scenes and every single one of them was pure hilarity.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** It's unclear what Tricia is going to do in regards to the big rebellion, given her grudge against Haley, right up until she defiantly bares her bra strap and scratches.
** Burt's speech to Haley before her floor routine at Nationals. "Now don't you dare hold back, and ''floor it''."
** Not to mention the judge's final words to Haley: "You know, there are a lot of great people who had jerks for parents. We gotta stick together." ''[wink]''
* HilariousInHindsight: Haley scratches on vault by jumping up from the springboard to stand on the table. Seems a little far-fetched? Well, in the 2016 Olympics, a Croatian gymnast [[https://usatodayhss.com/2016/video-a-croatian-teen-gymnast-accidentally-completed-the-easiest-competitive-vault-of-all-time did exactly that]] -- ''by complete accident'', no less.
* MemeticMutation: The clip most commonly repeated after people saw the trailer for this movie? "Call me." [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments "Stalk you."]]
* {{Narm}}: Big-time during Burt's pep talk to Haley before her floor performance. His over-the-top dramatic gasping makes him sound like he's about to have a heart attack.
* RetroactiveRecognition:
** Creator/NastiaLiukin - the girl in the red leotard who won on bars - is a real elite gymnast [[AsHimself playing herself]]. Liukin would go on to win multiple medals in the 2008 Olympics, including the All-Around gold, the single most prestigious award in women's gymnastics.
** Creator/KellanLutz, best known for his work in Literature/TheTwilightSaga.
* SpiritualPredecessor: To ''Series/MakeItOrBreakIt''.
* TearJerker: The scene where we finally discover just what made Haley walk out of Worlds'. [[spoiler:Her coach had had an affair with her mother and caused her parents to divorce.]] Haley found out right before she had to go out onto the floor and couldn't handle it. Honestly, who can blame her?
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: 2006, the year the film aired, also happens to be the year that gymnastics rolled out a massive change to the scoring system which was in place for the 2006 US National Championships, effectively dating the film to no later than 2005. [[note]]Ironically, the new open-ended scoring system that was rolled out would have pretty much negated one of the major plot points, since under that system the gymnasts would get a difficulty bonus for their skills -- the huge difficulty score of Mina's vault would be more than enough to make up for a silly bra strap deduction, and Nastia Liukin would also get difficulty bonus for doing the quadruple twist that Tim Daggett references.[[/note]] In fact, between this, the presence of Nastia Liukin (who only made senior in 2005), and the mention of a World Championships "two years ago" (which wouldn't make sense in 2006 anyway, because there's no World Championships in an Olympic year), it pretty much could only be 2005.
