* BileFascination: Basically why most of their films initially gross more than twice their budgets.
* CriticProof: Their movies were critically panned but, with the exception of ''Disaster Movie'' and their post-''Vampires Suck'' work, made back their low budgets several times.
* GrowingTheBeard: Relatively speaking. Their work became more sporadic, and they haven’t made any films since 2015. While still ''extremely'' heavily panned, many noted that their later films were at least attempting to more accurately satirize the films they're referencing and not cram as many random bits of pop culture in as possible.
* HilariousInHindsight: At the end of ''The Starving Games'', when the Avengers are assembled to enlist Katniss to join them, Clint Barton tries to protest. Nick Fury verbally shoots him down, saying that he'll never have a movie centered on him. Well, not a ''movie'', [[Series/{{Hawkeye|2021}} exactly]].
* NauseaFuel: Given the amount of [[ToiletHumor bodily fluid-related comedy]] on these movies, there are many overtly disgusting moments.
* RetroactiveRecognition: One from behind the camera rather then in front. You might notice in the credits that one of the producers for their films was [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Safran Peter Safran]], who'd go on the help produce many Franchise/DCExtendedUniverse movies and Film/TheConjuringUniverse.
* ShallowParody: Not surprising, since the duo has admitted they generally just watch the trailers of their target and go from there. Given that often the movies parodied haven't even been released at the time of filming, it's really all they've got.
* SoBadItsGood: Many gags can be so stupid that they wrap around to being funny again, and they can actually come up with watchable material when they're actually putting effort into it. [[WatchItStoned Weed helps, as does beer.]]
* SpecialEffectFailure:
** Despite costing about $20,000,000, a primary criticism of the films is the shoddy SFX, compared to films like ''Film/ShaunOfTheDead'' (which cost a fifth of the budget). Ironically, their regular lead special effects artist up until ''Meet the Spartans'' was Mark Rappaport, a man who made a living doing low-budget special effects for Creator/FullMoonFeatures that were usually among the best parts of their films.
** Their independently released films are even worse than before because they were made on a fraction of their Hollywood-funded films.
* TaintedByThePreview: By just watching the trailers to their films alone, you know you're asking for trouble.
* TookTheBadFilmSeriously:
** Creator/MaiaraWalsh in ''The Starving Games'' absolutely brings her A game and shows total dedication to the material. With better material, it could have been a breakout performance.
** For a given value of "seriously", Nicole Parker is one of the few players to consistently turn in a decent comic performance, because she had a lot of experience playing ridiculous characters on ''Series/MadTV1995'' and is obviously throwing herself into the roles full-tilt.
