* AccidentalInnuendo: [[AccidentalInnuendo/RhettAndLink Has its own page]].
* ArchivePanic: ''Good Mythical Morning'' by itself is huge; currently up to its 25th season and usually averaging around 100 episodes a season, not including its predecessor "Good Morning Chia Lincoln". That's currently over 2000 episodes, in addition to Good Mythical MORE, the extra part to each episode that has been going on since season four. Also remember that this does ''not count the rest of their channels''.
* AudienceAlienatingEra: In 2017, ''Good Mythical Morning'' changed its format in the middle of Season 12, known as ''GMM 22''. Instead of the usual one 10-15 minute episode each day, four 4-10 minute episodes that were loosely thematically connected were released each day instead, intended to add up as 22 minutes in length total. This change was apparently a request from the corporate powers of [=YouTube=] in the hopes to pitch the show to television networks. Audiences rejected this new format hard, as it was not only confusing for viewers to keep track of and too much main content for most people to consume in their day, but it also resulted in less funny and memorable episodes. By the start of Season 14 next year, the one episode a day format returned. Rhett and Link seem to agree with this sentiment, and they [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2qBaDRfO-0 discussed the faults of this era]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBHe9uozw8A twice]] in episodes of ''Ear Biscuits'' years later.
* FanNickname: According to Platform/YouTube commenters, the unnamed kid in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ov1DDjHt8c Epic Rap Battle]] who Rhett and Link demonstrate the Half- and Full-Nelson on, respectively, is named "Nelson".
* HarsherInHindsight: [[Music/LinkinPark Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington]] guest starred on an episode of GMM in May 2017. The episode featured Mike and Chester improvising songs to see how music affects the taste of food. The second song ends with Chester singing a line about being "one noodle closer to death." At the time, it just seemed like a little bit of BlackComedy, but with Chester's suicide only two months later, it's hard not to retroactively see it as a call for help.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** "Epic Rap Battle" was released in 2010. Almost a year and a half later, they appeared in ''WebVideo/EpicRapBattlesOfHistory'' as the Wright brothers.
** Almost a year and a half LATER, they returned as Leonardo (da Vinci) and Donatello (di Niccolò di Betto Bardi).
** In "Epic Rap Battle" In one of Rhett's lines he says that next year everyone else will copy his style of wearing a turtleneck and necklace. While that didn't happen, the year after "Epic Rap Battle" was released, Music/TheLonelyIsland released "Turtleneck and Chain" a song about the idea of wearing a turtleneck and necklace.
* MemeticMutation:
** "Nope! Chuck Testa!"[[note]] Back in 2011, they directed a commercial for Chuck Testa's Ojai Valley Taxidermy business. The commercial exerts that Chuck's work is so lifelike that people will probably think the animals are alive. Chuck Testa later cameoed in Rhett and Link's music video, Dope Zebra.[[/note]]
** "The fire extinguisher is out! GET THE HAIRSPRAY!" and other variants from the comments.
** '''TOKYO'''
*** ''"[[BigWhat WWHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATT]]!!!"''
** "Hang on. I've just come to. Evidently, I've hurt my left hip."[[note]]In 2014, Link fractured his pelvis in a snowboarding accident. He also sustained a concussion, and according to Rhett's recounting of the event, repeated the above phrase at least one hundred times in the hours that followed--to the extent that emergency room staff made him a note to remind him that everyone already knew that. It did not work.[[/note]]
** "Nerd!" "HRRMMMGH— (insert sound)"[[note]]As of 2021, it has become a popular meme to replace Link's starting lyrics from "Epic Rap Battle: Nerd vs. Geek" with various sounds, ranging from a dixie car horn, to the starting lyrics from "[[Music/JTMusic To the Bone]]", and so on.[[/note]]
* NightmareFuel:
** '''CLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN... SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK!!!!!!!'''
** Some of the Mashed-Up faces of Rhett and Link in "Shipfaced" can be unsettling which gets taken to 50 with the second to last one where Rhett and Link have 2 different mouth shapes on top of eachother. Then gets doubled when we see an absolute cacophony of Rhett and Link's features. Though the voices that Rhett and Link give to the faces make them quite funny.
** And, for some people, "Christmas Face". (Especially Grace Helbig's face. You must see it to believe it.)
** Link's reaction after eating a ghost pepper. As one Platform/YouTube commentator put it, it was like he became possessed.
** Link after he eats the printer ink. "WELCOME TO MY LITTLE LAIR IN THE WOODS"
** Cotton Candy Randy. "Happy Cotton Candy Day, daddies!"
** Link's Makeover. "WANT A NEW BUTTHOLE?"
** [[SurprisinglyCreepyMoment Observe how little by little]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2WTRqCu_DY Rhett and Link's vacay becomes cray-cray]]. Highlights include [[EyeScream Rhett being stabbed in both eyes]] and somehow starting a ZombieApocalypse.
* TearJerker: "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEKnMoXrLoo Our Official Apocalypse Video]]" is this, being basically a goodbye for anybody who views it at the apocalypse. It has Rhett and Link GoOutWithASmile.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Link got a radically new haircut in 2016. In response, some demand him to go back to his old hairstyle. Plenty of other fans pointed out how much of an overreaction it is, saying it's not up to the fanbase to decide the matters of someone's personal life, especially as ultimately insignificant as a haircut.
