* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation:
** Extreme one with the entire parallel galaxy: is the parallel galaxy really a group of paragons trying to save both galaxies, or is it a ruthless force disillusioned by an encounter with Cerberus that seeks to conquer the galaxy that Cerberus and the others came from?
** On that note, Shepard himself is commonly referred to as an ideal paragon Shepard, but is he really that or is he a short tempered self centered man with a Messiah complex?
* AntiClimaxBoss:
** Somehow, the fic makes an anti-climax boss out of [[spoiler:'''''Harbinger''''']].
** [[spoiler:Kai Leng]] counts, given how much of a badass he was built up to be throughout the entire rest of the Mass Effect 3 arc.
* AssPull:
** Happens a ''lot''. Of particular note: [[spoiler:the way the Collectors are shoehorned into Tali’s loyalty mission, the fact that the events of the Arrival DLC involved a choice Shepard somehow already made before he ever set foot in the Mass Effect galaxy, Xiltro suddenly gaining a coding error and being unable to ‘jump’ into Shepard’s omni-tool, and the Illusive Man and the Oracle both being able to activate the final artician temple so Shepard doesn't have to.]]
** [[spoiler: Also, during the Mass Effect 3 arc, Shepard uses an ability on Balak that involves lasers shooting out of his eyes and causing Balak to feel the pain of all the people that he hurt. This ability was never hinted at before, and it was never brought up again after said scene]]
** Also, during Grunt's rite, a massive Thresher Maw, described as the Loch Ness Monster of Tuchanka appears, but Shepard kills it. In the Mass Effect 3 arc, ANOTHER one pops up out of nowhere.
* CanonDefilement: The fact that just about ''all'' of the major conflicts between the various races in the games have all of the subtleties ripped out of them for the sake of a fairy-tale ending leads to copious amounts of this.
* LikeYouWouldReallyDoIt: The general tone of the entire fic is rather hopeful, with the good guys always winning everything with severely limited casualties. [[spoiler:So naturally, this happens when it’s revealed that Shepard will need to sacrifice himself to destroy the Reapers when he activates the final temple.]] [[DeusExMachina Sure enough...]]
* SoBadItsGood: There’s something charming about the unabashed stupidity that occurs in the story that one can’t help but love it anyway.
