1	* CultClassic: One of the few pre-''WesternAnimation/{{Bluey}}'' Disney Junior/Playhouse Disney series to have become PopularWithFurries. There are a small group of people who truly appreciate this show or like it as a guilty pleasure, and they are often dedicated to the series.
2	* FridgeLogic: In "Kid Court," Peanut, Butter and Jelly miss an obvious potential solution to their problem - why don't they at least ''ask'' their friends if they can watch their shows at their houses, while Baby Butter stays home and watches ''Baby Lovey''? Do ''none'' of them have television?
3	* HarsherInHindsight:
4	** The QuoteMine incident with the Snootie kids is much less funny now that there's a potential scam built around the trope (while there's no evidence that the scam would actually work, the thought is still unnerving).
5	** In "Let's Help Dad," PB&J come up with the idea of helping Ernest with package deliveries by placing them in small boxes and sent floating down via little parachutes. This feels eerily similar to the delivery of sponsor gifts in the ''Literature/TheHungerGames'' books/films and, more disturbingly, [[spoiler:the bombs in ''Literature/{{Mockingjay}}''.]]
6	* PopularWithFurries: One of the more obscure {{closet key}}s into the fandom, yet a significant one at the same time. The titular otter trio has a lot of fanart, and Opal Otter (the trio's mom) has a few fans.
7	* SweetnessAversion: What else did you expect from a show called ''PB&J Otter''? The cast is often so happy to be alive and often times the show dives head-first into SugarBowl territory.
8	* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: Once the library closes in Lake Hoohaw, you're done if you need to return a book on the date it's due and can't make it there. The best you can do is to go there the next day and pay a late fee (or worse, [[WorkOffTheDebt work to pay off the fee]]). In real life, libraries now recognize that some people cannot make it during their hours of operation and have book drops for people who can only make it to the library after it closes. Many libraries no longer charge late fees, instead offering alternatives (such as membership programs, which let patrons check out whatever they want for as long as they want). There are also now many libraries that simply ''don't charge late fees period'', instead only charging if the patron loses the item in question, which can still often be waived if the item gets returned. Even with libraries that do still charge fines, it's often a pittance and not enough to merit going to extreme lengths to try to get something back on time.
9	* ViewerGenderConfusion:
10	** Butter is a girl. However, due to looking similar to her older brother Peanut and lacking TertiarySexualCharacteristics, people would tend to mistake her for a boy. Astute viewers, however, might have been able to figure out her gender from a line in the show's theme song - "Ooh, mother, father, ''sisters'' and brother," though unfortunately the closed-captioning is inconsistent in correctly transcribing this line, and it can also be difficult to distinguish by hearing. Her being OneOfTheBoys might contribute to the dilemma - she's fond of playing in mud and enjoys rough and tumble pursuits, preferring to spend her time with Peanut and his friends, rather than Jelly and her best friend Pinch.
11	** Jelly is also sometimes mistaken for a boy due to her {{Tomboy}} personality, in spite of her [[TertiarySexualCharacteristics chin-length hair]] and [[PinkMeansFeminine magenta fur]].
12	* TheWoobie: Munchie Beaver, who constantly gets into trouble because of his obsession with eating wood, and gets nervous a lot.
