Many that otherwise agreed with his points (which included disclosure and thought the plan had flaws in terms of how much the Yogscast would be paid) were put off by his demeanour, which they found to be quite whiny and frustrated.

For a good while, mentioning the network in general (bar Martyn or another channel such as LetsPlay/{{Sips}} or LetsPlay/HatFilms, who are largely liked, or a channel such as LetsPlay/KimRichards towards whom Dan's fans have no major beef) on Dan's subreddit would get you shredded, and vice versa for /r/Yogscast unless it was a Little and Cubed video.
