* BrokenBase: The film is either hilarious due to how much it CrossesTheLineTwice, true to the source material, or it strays into offensive territory. Creator/MarkKermode in particular heavily criticizes the perceived parental worries on display which is entirely PlayedForLaughs. In fact, he was more amused about the BBFC warning that the film “contains irresponsible behaviour”.
* EsotericHappyEnding: The film ends when Bean ''finally'' making it to the beach, after the trials he's been through in the movie. Though he's still without his wallet which had all his money and ID, so it's kind of hard to imagine what he can do to get back home.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: Bean's meddling with Carson Clay's movie to make his friend Sabine the centrepiece, after she's been distinctly snubbed by the primadonna director and cut from the film.
** Bean ''finally'' making it to the beach, after the trials he's been through in the movie. You can't help but feel good for him as he spreads his arms wide to take in the warm water and beach of Cannes.
*** More than that - ''everyone'' gets what they want in the end. Stepan is reunited with his father, Sabine gets her big break into showbiz - even Clay, the biggest jerk in the story, gets critical acclaim for his movie and learns a lesson about the creative process to boot, even mimicking Bean's unusual method of zooming a camera in and out while giving a filming lesson.
* MemeticMutation:
** Carson Clay and his pretentious LeFilmArtistique have been the subject of a variety of memes, usually to skewer the types of films his was a parody of.
** Bean waiting a long time for a scooter to arrive has become a popular reaction meme.
* NauseaFuel: The mussels that Bean has as part of his seafood platter, where we receive a close-up shot of a vile, swill-like mess with lumps of mussel floating in it in the bottom of Bean's bib. He promptly dumps it in a woman's handbag.
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: While not regarded as a masterpiece by any means, it was generally regarded as being both a better film and [[TruerToTheText much truer]] to the source material than [[Film/{{Bean}} the first film]].
