1	* {{Adorkable}}: Toki. He's very childish, as shown by his love of building models and having a teddy bear. He also loves animals, to the point where in one episode, where the rest of the band have groupies sitting on their laps, he's happily sitting with a rabbit on his. Really, it makes you wonder why a guy like him is in a death metal band. This hasn't gone unnoticed by female fans of the show. Seriously, go to any video that has Toki in it and see how many comments there are saying how cute he is.
2	* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Did Toki actually trick the guys into dressing as the Klan in "Diversityklok," as revenge, or was the unfortunate similarity a case of InnocentlyInsensitive? Toki was wearing the outfit too, after all, and several incidents during the concert--Murderface coming out looking like Hitler, the faulty wiring that lit the "T for Toki" on fire--would have been beyond Toki's ability to control or predict.
3	* AluminumChristmasTrees:
4	** Doctor Rockzo's song "Dory [=McClean=]" has him fondly sing about a time he had a fourteen-year-old girl give him a blowjob. Obviously, no real-life rock group could get away with putting out a song like that, right? Well, "Seventeen" by Music/{{Winger}}, "Christine, Sixteen" by Music/{{Kiss}}, and "All in the Name of..." by Music/MotleyCrue all featured the singer fondly speaking about his relationship with an underage girl, sometimes outright acknowledging the illegality of it, and even operated in the same genre as Rockzo (that is to say, HairMetal). Hard-rock musician Music/TedNugent's "Jailbait" actually beats out Rockzo by singing about a ''thirteen''-year-old girl.
5	** Pickles' plan to use bleach to pass a drug test in the episode "Dethhealth" and the gang's general acceptance of the idea was just an example of their idiocy, right? Nope. You actually can put bleach in a urine sample to kill traces of many drugs, but you'll end up failing it anyway because doctors and lab technicians can tell if someone has put bleach in it, and it goes without saying that DRINKING IT (like Pickles originally suggested) will kill you.
6	* AngstWhatAngst: For all the shit that Toki went through ever since his childhood and his CartwrightCurse that caused the death of his father, cat, and guitar teacher, he's still one of the idealistic members of the band. While he did become an alcoholic after his father's death he snapped out of it quickly after realizing that Nathan and the rest actually care about him.
7	* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The songs in all three season finales ("Go Into the Water" for Season 1, "Black Fire Upon Us" for Season 2, and "The Galaxy" for Season 3).
8	** "Crush the Industry", the premiere song for Season 3, [[spoiler: made better when Offdensen rescues the concert.]]

16	* BadassDecay: The opening of the show makes the band look pretty badass. Then they open their mouths, and it becomes really hard to take them seriously as the minutes pass.
17	** They set the record from the beginning of the very metal opening, to the start of the pilot episode where they show how incompetent they are.
18	** Out of all the bandmates, Murderface gets hit with this the hardest as the show progresses. While he's always been self-hating since the pilot episode he still has legions of adoring fans and his bandmates still seem to show respect for him for most of the 1st season and he had several violent and rough moments that made him fit the role of TheBigGuy. He was also shown to be able to hang out with groupies and demonstrate skill in bass playing. The seeds for decay were planted towards the end of the 1st season when it was implied that he was the least competent musician in the band with his bass being mixed out of most songs and having issues making music for his side project, "Planet Piss". Then towards the end of the 2nd season his emotional securities are put on display more, his apparent incompetence in music is revealed to be the result of laziness in nearly all aspects of life and his implied misogynist beliefs are revealed to be a major factor in his apparent inability to score with women. Starting with "Dethrace" he's officially become the ButtMonkey of the group and it just gets worse and worse for him as the series continues to the point where he's barely considered a member of the band. Administrivia/TropesAreTools is somewhat in effect since he's always been the biggest {{Jerkass}} in the band and the episodes where he gets the worst treatment are usually the ones where he still manages to [[TookALevelInJerkass Take A Level In Jerkass]] turning him into the show's primary UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist. Still, the fact remains that his status of TheBigGuy of the group is supplanted by Nathan, leaving him only with the role of TheLoad whose kept in the band solely because his negativity makes the band bitter and angry enough to make '''''brutal''''' music.
19	* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The closing song of the episode ''Dethhelth'': "No More Hamburger Time".

25	* CompleteMonster: [[spoiler:[[BigBad Mister Salacia]] is the puppetmaster behind [[Characters/MetalocalypseTribunal the Tribunal]] monitoring [[Characters/MetalocalypseDethklok Dethklok]]. At first seeming to be simply an influential human power broker, Salacia reveals himself to be far more when he uses telekinesis to gruesomely massacre a group of subordinates for acting without sanction, and later takes over the mind of military general Crozier to reroute US Army resources to the mysterious Falconback Project. In [[WesternAnimation/MetalocalypseArmyOfTheDoomstar the finale]], Salacia is revealed as an EldritchAbomination from another dimension who lost most of his power upon getting trapped on Earth in ancient times, and has manipulated influential people throughout history to regain his full strength. His goal is to bring [[WeirdMoon the Doomstar]] to Earth and perform a ritual to transform it into a portal to his home dimension--and [[ItsAllAboutMe Salacia]] cares absolutely nothing for the fact that doing so will render the Earth a lifeless husk due to the star's extreme heat. When Dethklok finally confronts him face to face, Salacia reveals that once he's done draining their mystical energies to power the Falconback device for the ritual, he plans on killing all of them except frontman Nathan Explosion, whom he intends to keep as his immortal, tortured plaything for all eternity]].
26	* CrazyIsCool: The show seems to run on this. In the pilot alone, they managed to turn a coffee jingle into a melodic death metal song, resulting in at least a few dozen deaths.

31	** Nathan Explosion has extraordinary talent in music, borderline obsessive interest in death metal, profound lack of social empathy (which he later grows out of), speech difficulties, and literal thinking. He seems to have some degree of dyslexia, as he has trouble reading Shakespeare in "Dethkids" and stumbles through the written speeches Offdensen gave for his political elections in "Dethgov". He also had delayed language development (he didn't talk until he was five), and is [[TheStoic far less emotive compared to his bandmates]]. Some fans speculate that he's on the autism spectrum.
32	* DieForOurShip: There are some that believe Abigail gets in the way of their favored slash ships, even though she did not show as much interest in Pickles as he did for her. She still gets hate regardless, particularly as [[spoiler: she does end up hooking up with Nathan, both in a sexual sense and [[RelationshipUpgrade eventually a romantic one.]]]]

But when the comic jumps on Nathan by calling him "Tonto", which is not a nickname Nathan is fond of, Charles whispers something to a nearby Klokateer. Within seconds, the comic is dead from a poison dart.
63	** Murderface has a very noticeable knee-jerk reaction to anything that could potentially make him look gay. Such as his refusal to eat phallic-shaped food.
64	*** He is later seen licking a hot dog suggestively, and acts like it's no big deal when he notices the others staring at him.

And on top of that the band members frequently don't even appreciate what he does for them, at least until later seasons when they begin to [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther realize how important he is to them]]. And yet he stays composed, calculating and badass through it all.
76	* JerkassWoobie: Even the creators of the show agree, Murderface is a tortured soul who desperately needs acceptance and a cure for his extreme loneliness and sensitivity... but he is also a complete and total asshole who is repugnant in every way.

Once Dethklok's new album ended up destroyed and lost at sea, the Falconback plan returned to the backburner.]]

When Offdensen finds a heavily-encoded blueprint pertaining to Falconback, he recruits Edgar Jomfru to help him decipher the blueprint -- but before he can learn the truth, Offdensen has to "come back to life" to save Dethklok from signing a new record deal (seen in the Season Three premiere).]]

The fact that [[spoiler:Dory's daughter]] is named Chastity only makes this even grosser.

Then he spends the rest of the series being largely OutOfFocus, and we learn almost nothing more about him. Even in the GrandFinale movie, he is mostly inconsequential to the main plot [[spoiler:and is killed off after a brief fight with Ofdensen]].
124	* TooCoolToLive: Charles Foster Offdensen, [[spoiler: awesomely subverted.]]
125	* UnpopularPopularCharacter: Dr. Rockso is despised by most of Dethklok, including Charles and an interviewer refers to him as having become a "worthless piece of shit", but the fans love him just about as much as Toki does.
126	* UglyCute: Later episodes pretty much establish the band as overgrown children with daddy issues (except for Nathan, who gets along great with his father), which has given them a sort of bulldog-esque "D'awwwww" factor, believe it or not. Murderface is both the ugliest and the most childish.
127	* TheWoobie: Everyone in the band, Offdensen included, have seriously screwed up backstories.
