* AdaptationDisplacement: Not just to the Franchise/KamenRider franchise, but to the name "Masked Rider" itself. In Japan, Masked Rider is just Kamen Rider written in English, but overseas it is mostly associated with Saban's adaptation of RX than anything else. When Steve Wang produced Series/KamenRiderDragonKnight, he refused to use the "Masked Rider" name despite Ishinomori Production's insistence and he had to convince them to keep it as "Kamen Rider" instead. Fortunately, due to a combination of everyone involved doing their best to bury the show, as well as Toei's own efforts at making the original source material available for viewing legally, this has already changed in regards to the franchise.
* AudienceColoringAdaptation: Toei themselves soon followed the example of Steve Wang, starting with Series/KamenRiderDoubleIt's likely that Decade, Doubles immediate predecessor, would have been the first series to do this had it not been already planned before Dragon Knight. Saban themselves also seems to have taken this stance as well, given that they eventually applied for a trademark that many guessed would lead to another Kamen Rider adaptation of by Saban - Power Rider; however, nothing came of this, since Saban let the trademark expire.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The opening theme is surprisingly good (it almost sounds like a tribal tune with the heavy use of drums and the "MASKED RIDER!" chants, while the horns make it sound appropriately superheroic). Take a listen.
* CreatorsPet: Ferbus, to the point where he seems to have more screen-time than the main character. And most of that screen-time is spent on him being a bratty and disruptive nuisance who never gets called out or punished.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** The idea of a Kamen Rider who goes to high school might have seemed ridiculous at the time. Flash forward to 2008, and the non-serial movie for Series/KamenRiderKiva has the titular rider become a high-schooler. 3 years after that, Series/KamenRiderFourze came along.
** While Patsy and Herbie are considered the Bulk and Skull of this show, they're similar to Devin and Cassidy who are the Expys of the original duo.
** Although Time Force may have retconned the entire series to a ShowWithinAShow, there's one thing that the show did use again - using footage of a character's counterpart from the source material untransformed. Except it worked a lot better in Time Force, mainly because Eric looks more like his Sentai counterpart, Naoto.
** Ferbus is very similar to a Toys/Furby, being a small hairy creature with pointy ears and a beak. The show premiered three years before the Furby toyline launched.
* Macekre: This adaptation removed all serious bits from the original Black RX and made it look more like a cheesy sitcom in which an alien tries to adjust to life on earth, with some superhero action added in to cash in on the success of Power Rangers. It also used footage from other sources than Black RX and made no real effort to hide this.
* MemeticMutation: The Masked Rider Warriors. Particularly Skyrider calling himself Amazon.
* Narm:
** At least for those familiar with Franchise/KamenRider. The episode "The Invasion Of Leawood" features the Showa Riders as "The Masked Rider Warriors". In one scene they give a roll call of their names, only to mix them up with the other Riders. The only ones who didn't suffer from this were the ones who got new names (Warrior Commander, Warrior Leader, Strongman (which even then was likely meant for Stronger and not Super-1), and Film/KamenRiderZX, who alone escapes with his name intactironically, they refer to it correctly as "Z-Cross", as opposed to making the common mistake of referring to "ZX".
** It gets even worse when Skyrider announces his name (I AM AMAZON!!!!!!). This video probably will cause some MemeticMutation.
** Also, they had Stronger, the dude with the giant "S" on his chest, announce himself as "Masked Rider X". Bwuh...?
** This may have been due to the rider names being read off in chronological order, which didn't match up with the footage. The script seemed to assume that Kamen Rider 2 and Riderman would be there, but they weren't filmed doing their roll call (Rider 2 did appear at the start of the scene but never got to say a name), so V3 got the line that would have gone to Rider 2, X got the line that would have gone to V3, and all the others were moved up two slots.
* RetroactiveRecognition:
** A friend of Dex's named Ferrian is Nobu Yoshioka.
** Creator/VerneTroyer was Ferbus's suit actor.
** Creator/RichardEpcar voiced V3 and ZX.
* TheScrappy: Ferbus is widely considered the weakest element of the show. From his high-pitched voice to him constantly putting Dex's cover at risk despite the Stewarts' constant reminders, its a wonder why Lexian bothered to let him go to Earth after his grandson (provided Ferbus didn't sneak away while Lexian wasn't looking).
* SpecialEffectsFailure: You can tell whenever a shot Ferbus utilizes the puppet or costume by the added height and girth he gains when shown in full.
* StockFootageFailure: There are quite a few times where they'll have Dex wear a similar if not identical outfit to the one Kotaro normally wears to use more Black RX footage, but Kotaro's face becomes visible during said scenes, meaning it's really apparent when they're not filming original footage.
