* CrossoverShip:
** As a result of a joke from WebVideo/TheMysteriousMrEnter's review, some fans have taken to shipping Macbeth with Awful B. Bad from ''WesternAnimation/LittleClownsOfHappytown''.
** Some also like to pair her with [[WesternAnimation/PhineasAndFerb Heinz Doofenshmirtz]], since both are [[TragicVillain Tragic Villains]] with [[FreudianExcuse horrible childhood experiences]].
* EvilIsCool: Sadie Macbeth, for all of her delightful [[ChewingTheScenery gnashing of the scenery]] and surprisingly well-done TragicVillain characterization.
* FridgeHorror: In "Back to the Past" after discovering the true identities of INK, Macbeth goes back in time and wipes them each from existence one by one. Exactly how she erased them from existence ''isn't'' exactly made clear- Macbeth just [[NothingIsScarier mentions]] ''tracking down'' their parents!
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Zero is the show's most popular character in America, thanks to her being a tough goth girl [[BruiserWithASoftCenter with a soft side]]. The show also has a notable fanbase in Luxembourg.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** White complexion, blue jacket, cyan eyes, most popular character? Seems like the fandom's [[VideoGame/{{Undertale}} Sans]] humanizations have started leaking into the past...
** The second episode has Miss Macbeth using butterflies to mind control people. A villain who manipulates students using butterflies in a French cartoon? It seems like the writers unintentionally predicted [[WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug Hawk Moth]].
* HollywoodHomely: The first episode has Vin acting dismissive towards Cathy, due to her [[NerdGlasses nerdy]] [[PubescentBraces appearance]]. In truth, Cathy is just as adorable as any other student. Then again, Vin is established as a [[JerkAss superficial asshole]] who [[LaserGuidedKarma needs to be taught a lesson]], so this might have been [[IntendedAudienceReaction deliberate]].
* {{Moe}}: Nearly all the students at Pinkerton qualify (Zero, Trixie, and Vin especially).
* NightmareFuel: Some of the straight-on shots of Macbeth ''smiling''...
* OlderThanTheyThink:
** Let's see, a group of kids band together and use homemade gadgets to fight adult tyranny. [[WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor Now where have we heard that before?]]
** A French animated series about a group of kids at a boarding school who lead a secret double life fighting the forces of evil? With a kid genius and a girl associated with Asian culture as two members of said group? [[WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko Nope, can't say that sounds very familiar.]]
* {{Tearjerker}}:
** Vin is an orphan and Zero ran away from home. [[TheRunaway Think about that for a minute]].
** Macbeth's backstory is quite heartwrenching. She used to be a child like many others, but the boarding school she attended treated her like crap, the kids bullied her and [[AdultsAreUseless the teachers didn't care]]. Her attempts at a happy life were unsuccessful and she ended up becoming a SadistTeacher instead.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: One-off comments and [[AllThereInTheManual what little supplementary material there is for the show]] indicate that Zero doesn't have the best homelife and that Vin is an orphan [[spoiler:who might actually have some royal background]]. Unfortunately, the show never delves into either of the characters' backgrounds.
* ToyShip: [[MasculineGirlFeminineBoy Vin/Zero]], given that they have obvious ShipTease. Fans tend to ship [[BirdsOfAFeather Trixie/Newton]] [[ShipMates at the same time]].
* ViewerGenderConfusion: It's easy to mistake Zero for a boy until you realize she's wearing a skirt or a character mentions her gender.
