Once it became clear that the ARG was being used to promote ''Halo 2'', the forum was renamed from ''The Haunted Apiary'' to ''The [[FunWithAcronyms Haunted Apiary - Let Op!]]''.
3	** The police officer who interrogates Jan has been dubbed Stupid Cop based on a line of his dialog. The nickname is actually quite ironic.
4	* HarsherInHindsight: One of the protagonists is a practicing Muslim from a prominently majority-Muslim colony, and through him, the narration explores how desperate survivors from destroyed (or about to be destroyed) colonies and countries are to get to prosperous and free Earth, as well as how they're treated and discriminated against, with a huge uptick in discrimination and nationalism, as the world changes, the war gets closer to home, intelligence agencies pair off against each other, and electronic warfare and spying become a new norm as sophisticated artificial intelligence may shift the world's balance in spying on others or waging war.
5	** A decade and some change later, and the Western world deals with refugees desperate to get in, fleeing war-torn countries, as well as a huge nationalist and racist backlash. Intelligence agencies fight each other via extended spying and electronic warfare to steal plans or shift allegiances, and more and more companies focus on AI's powerful applications - including spying and, well, waging war.
6	* HoYay: Rani and Sarah John have a weirdly close relationship. The line "we should've eloped" could be construed as referring to the two of them. The fact that they're cousins makes things uncomfortable, but then again, they're in the South.
7	** Kamal and Hiro both note Aiden's attractive ponytail.
8	* JustHereForGodzilla: While the usual glut of gamers who didn't care much for the story were present (if only to track ''Halo 2''[='=]s release date), there were also a fair few participants who were disappointed that the ARG led up to ''Halo 2'', showing consternation at ILB meetups really being sneak previews for ''Halo 2''.
