%%* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Eduard "Mr. Trololo" Khil.
* CriticalDissonance: At one point was both the most watched [=YouTuber=], and considered one of the worst big channels by other [=YouTubers=], due to perceived low effort content.
* EnsembleDarkHorse:
** Kassem G, who filled in for Ray as presenter in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn_8D7C2Vs4&feature=relmfu two]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_VxSOBpQf0 videos]], has a couple of fans.
** He even got to be the host, again, in a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EJRBdUdTZ8 future episode]] because people requested it.
** Creator/GabrielIglesias could also count, being almost as popular as KassemG, if not more popular.
* FandomRivalry: Quite inevitably with Creator/{{Nigahiga}}, considering that Ray had surpassed him as the number-one most subscribed channel. Similarly, fans of WebVideo/{{Jacksfilms}} and Ray don't seem to get along due to the former bashing the latter.
* GeniusBonus: On a video review about a cat that walked on two paws, he referenced Creator/GeorgeOrwell (and an on-screen annotation pointed out "TO THE AUDIENCE: He wrote Literature/AnimalFarm".) Speaking of, when Ray reviewed a video of a dog watching WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy in the ''BAD KIDS'' episode, he said "Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy", which is a plot point in the film.
* HarsherInHindsight: The =3 video [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xs-rgXUu448 TOO FAT TO DIE!]] features a video by Randy Stair, who in 2017 would murder four people (including himself) at a Weiss market he worked for.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** In the episode "Man-Bitch", he jokingly asks if the fat guy that fell through the ceiling was Creator/{{Kevin Smith}}. Kevin Smith would later appear in person on episodes of Equals Three.
** At one point in the episode "Psycho Asian Girlfriend", Ray starts a sentence with, "If I had an Asian girlfriend...". Now he ''does'' have an Asian girlfriend.
** In the later episodes Ray hosted, the Google+ logo would be subjected to physical abuse from him. Google+ was shut down for business and personal use in April of 2019.
* MemeticMutation: Many of the viral videos Ray's reviewed are memes in themselves.
** [[CrossesTheLineTwice Squirrel]] [[TheVirus AIDS]].
** Fake and gay.
** [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext Two camels in a tiny car]].
** Hide yo' kids, hide yo' wife, hide yo' husband.
** [[AscendedMeme YOU AIN'T GOT NO PANCAKE MIX!]]
** "[[BilingualBonus Co za asy!]]" comments started showing up in many [=YouTube=] videos, less than 2 days after Ray remarked on it.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t53TcKIlMc "Doin' Your Mom"]] made quite the cultural resurgence with various straight-faced covers in the style of other musicians.
** [[GratuitousEnglish SPONGEBOBBLE!]]
* ReplacementScrappy: Naturally, someone will be disappointed when Ray isn't the one hosting a new episode.
** However, the episode with Garfunkel and Oates was just terrible, with a 76 percent dislike rate.
** The first episode hosted by Andy Milonakis was much less warmly received.
** This was the fear with Robby Motz being the show's new host. However, people warmed up very well to Robby and see him as a younger version of Ray, as well as having a huge blend of sarcasm and upbeat humor.
** The same cannot be said about Robby's replacement, Kaja Martin. The first video that didn't have an overwhelming dislike ratio since her debut as a new host was... the video where Ray informed everyone she was stepping down. Keep in mind, ''Robby'' stayed longer than Kaja. Holy crap. And it had less to do with her being the new host and more of her comedy style being vastly different compared to Robby's.
* TheScrappy: Catt Lauer's "reports" weren't particularly well received, so Ray had him executed live in his (Ray's) birthday episode. [[spoiler:Too bad CatsHaveNineLives.]]
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: The format change to five one-review videos a week from two three-review videos a week was received as this at the time, which is funny to look back at considering it's the format the show's best remembered for now.
