* HilariousInHindsight: Love being rejected by the Mickey Mouse Club as a child. Both because of how well it fits in with her adult public persona (to the point that she proudly proclaimed herself as a "Mickey Mouse Club reject" in her bios when she was active on social media) and because of the numerous LighterAndSofter recording artists whose careers began by appearing on children's TV shows at an early age.
* HoYay: In the "Celebrity Skin" era with Melissa Auf der Maur. Ironic given that she never did anything like that with Patty Schemel, who is actually a lesbian.
* OnceOriginalNowCommon: Courtney Love made a sport out of steamrolling female gender norms and caused a lot of controversy with her outspokenly feminist attitude, unkempt appearance, willingness to expose herself, the disturbing sonic and lyrical themes in her music, being open and honest about her drug abuse, the way she flaunted her sexuality and the more general Rock and Roll antics that were then [[FemalesAreMoreInnocent considered taboo for a woman to engage in]] which Love happily partook (such as performing topless and crowd surfing in dresses). Today, it isn't uncommon for millennial and Gen Z female artists to have similar feminist attitudes, incorporate similar themes into their work and behave in similar ways onstage, even if they don't necessarily consider Love to be an influence. They may be surprised to learn how much pearl-clutching Courtney Love induced when she did those things in 1995. Also, Love took ''a ton'' of flack for being a former stripper, something that doesn't seem to haunt Music/CardiB nearly as much outside a small handful of right-wing activists.
* ValuesResonance:
** In "Doll Parts", Courtney famously sings that she wants to be "the girl with the most cake". Even if not her original intention with the line, with the term "cake" seeing widespread use as a slang term for a woman having a very attractive butt in TheNewTens, it helps younger/modern listeners more easily connect to Love casting doubt on her attractiveness to men and comparing herself unfavorably to other women as she reels from [[AllLoveIsUnrequited the man she's falling in love with rejecting her]].
** Love intended for "Awful" to be an anthem for young girls to reject the corrosive influence of the media and modern pop culture on their self-image. These themes resonate even stronger in the age of social media as apps like Instagram have been shown to cause teenage girls to have reduced self-esteem and less satisfaction with their physical appearance.
** Courtney's criticism about how unfairly the music industry treats artists dating all the way back to the 1990s seem far sighted with the now common criticism of how streaming services like Spotify pay artists a pittance compared to what they used to make by selling copies of their music ([[{{Misblamed}} Even if its more the fault of record labels than the streaming services themselves]]). Additionally, the public fights artists such as Music/TaylorSwift have had with their record labels and music executives in order to be fairly compensated for their work has further vindicated Courtney's previous comments.
** As the article's intro notes, Love has made scandalous statements about behind-the-scenes Hollywood dealings that initially got dismissed as the rantings of a crazy person until they were proven to be true years later. She warned young actresses against socially engaging with Harvey Weinstein in ''2005'', more than a decade before he was outed as a serial rapist (and indeed, Weinstein shut down her acting career in response to the comments). She also claimed that Music/BritneySpears' father is abusive and exploiting her back in 2010, comments that again got dismissed and mocked at the time. A decade later, as the documentary ''Framing Britney Spears'' brought renewed scrutiny of Spears' conservatorship and the potential exploitive nature of it, and as other people around Spears have been in court trying to get her father removed from being her sole caretaker, Love was again shown to have known what she was talking about. In the latter case, Love has [[https://www.instagram.com/p/COIrWcwFZHH/ herself claimed vindication]].
* VindicatedByHistory: Love has garnered more respect as a legacy artist starting in TheNewTens now that the scandals and public feuds are behind her, her influence on younger generations is undeniable, and she is now more than ever able to be judged on the merit of her work rather than her public persona.
