* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Everything the band did with Damo Suzuki. Not to mention their debut album with Malcolm Mooney.
* EpicRiff: "Halleluhwah", with everything Jaki Liebezeit did with the drums.
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: The band had a cult following in the U.K. and was a major influence on the PostPunk movement there.
* MorePopularReplacement: Damo Suzuki for Malcolm Mooney. Fans ''like'' Mooney, but as the caption on the main page photo says, the line-up with Suzuki is the classic one.
* NightmareFuel: [[NightmareFuel/{{Can}} Has its own page]].
* SampledUp:
** Music/KanyeWest's "Drunk and Hot Girls" uses a sample and mondegreen from "Sing Swan Song".
** A sample (or at least [[SuspiciouslySimilarSong a sound-alike]]) of "Turtles Have Short Legs" was used for the "Instructor Moosilini" song in ''VideoGame/ParappaTheRapper''.
* SeasonalRot: The band's material after the departure of Damo Suzuki is held in considerably lower regard than their prior records. While ''Soon Over Babaluma'' is well-regarded, the albums after that are treated with increasing disdain thanks to the band's shift away from their experimental style. The one major exception is ''Delay 1968'', and even then, it was an archival release. This is reflected in Restless Retro's reissues of the band's catalog for the North American market in the early '90s, which stop at ''Soon Over Babaluma'' before briefly jumping over to ''Delay 1968''.
