''Yakkity Yak'' was a short-lived Canadian-Australian show created by Australian animator Mark Gravas (who also created ''WesternAnimation/CJTheDJ'') and produced by Canada's Creator/StudioBProductions and Australia's Kapow Pictures for Creator/{{Nickelodeon}} and Creator/{{Teletoon}}.

It was a show about Yakkity, a yak who dreams of becoming a famous comedian, and his friends, an anthropomorphic pineapple named Keo (don't ask why) and a female human named Lemony (and on some occasions, a robot girl named Penelope).
----
!!''Yakkity Yak'' provides examples of:
* FifteenMinutesOfFame: Considering that the premise involes Yakkity trying to become famous, this tends to happen a lot;
** In "I Want My Yak TV, Yakkity gets huge metal braces for his antlers, and they end up intercepting the sattelite signals, which pretty much turn him into a glorified TV antenna. Everyone begins using Yakkity's brace as a means to watch free TV, which end up causing Yakkity to become famous... until he realizes that everyone was using him for the brace. Everyone ends up abandoning him when the brace gets broken.
** "And That's the Weather" establishes Granny Yak being able to predict the weather by the way her bunions are acting up. Yakkity uses this to become a heavily acclaimed weatherman, who appears borderline psychic to the townsfolk. However, Granny Yak then gets her bunions removed, leading Yakkity and Keo to hatch a ZanyScheme using Prof. Crazyhair's new weather-making machine. Yakkity's 15 minutes promptly end when Granny Yak pours garbage into the weather machine (mistaking it for a garbage can) after Yakkity predicted a nice sunny day.
** "High Fashion Yak". Yakkity is forced by his grandmother to wear a new hat that he clearly hates, and he immediately gives it to Keo, who loves the hat. As a matter of fact, ''everyone'' falls in love with the hat, and with the help of Mr. Highpants, Yakkity and Keo end up becoming instant celebrities for starting a new fashion trend. But then, when a man comes into the candy shop wearing an imitation, Highpants declares the fad to be over, and Yakkity and Keo try to come up with a new fashion trend so they can remain popular. They decide to make jumpsuits out of life rafts, and while everyone enjoys that at first, they end up hating it when the rafts started inflating.
* UsefulNotes/AdobeFlash: Used to create the show's animation.
* AmbiguouslyGay: Mr. Highpants, the flamboyant candy store owner Yakkity comes by.
* AmnesiaEpisode: "Regarding Chuck" is about Chuck Damage getting amnesia after getting hit by Yakkity's scooter.
* AnimationBump: The intro seen before the start of each episode seems more fluid and lively than the rest of the show.
* ArtisticLicenseBiology: The yaks in this show have antlers instead of horns.
%%* BigBad: Gary.
%%* ButtMonkey: Yakkity himself, Mr. Highpants and Rondo Jr.
%%* TheCutie: Penelope and Lemony!
* TheDitz: Despite being rivals, Yakkity nor Rondo Jr. aren't really that distinct from each other.
* ElectionDayEpisode: "Election Dysfunction" sees Keo and Lemony running against each other for class president.
%%* {{Expy}}: Lemony is oddly similar to [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Lisa Simpson]], only without the use as an AuthorTract.
%%** Mr. Highpants is [[Anime/KirbyRightBackAtYa King Dedede]].
* TheFaceless: Chuck Damage is never seen without his wrestling mask.
%%* FunnyAnimal:
%%** And even Funny Plant!
* FurIsClothing: Yakkity's fur coat is depicted as a literal fur coat that can be taken off.
* GameShowAppearance: In "The Yak In The Hat", everyone tries to convince Keo to appear on a quiz show because he knows all the answers, but he can't do it because he has [[PerformanceAnxiety extreme stage fright.]] So Yakkity decides to go on the show instead, wearing a giant hat for Keo to hide in, so he can give him the answers.
%%* GenkiGirl: Lemony
%%* GloryDays: Chuck Damage, a former wrestling champion.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Keo's mother was human, while his father is a pineapple (yes, really).
* HypnoFool: The first episode, "Hypnotic Yak" has Yakkity hypnotizing the whole town into thinking he's funny. This goes well for him, at first, [[GoneHorriblyRight but things take a wrong turn]] when people start laughing at everything he says.
* InformedSpecies: As mentioned above, the yaks have antlers instead of horns, making them look way more like moose.
%%* JerkAss: Mr. Highpants & Rondo Jr. (again)
%%** Don't forget Darn It Dog!
* KaleidoscopeHair: [[MeaningfulName Not surprisingly]], Professor Crazyhair.
* KidsAreCruel: "As the Worm Turns", "High-Fashion Yak" and "Snow Biz"
%%* MadScientist: Professor Crazyhair.
* TheNapoleon: Rondo Jr. is a short kid, and also [[TheBully the show's resident bully character.]]
%%* OnlySaneWoman: Lemony.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: Miss Harper is the local librarian.
* ParentalAbandonment: Neither Yakkity's parents (he lives with his grandmother and her lodger, Professor Crazyhair) nor Keo's mother ever appears.
* RaisedByGrandparents: Yakkity is being raised by his grandmother.
%%* SassyBlackWoman: Wanda has her moments.
* ScantronPicture: In one episode, Yakkity drew a picture of his face on a Scantron.
%%* SuckECheeses: Highpants' Candy Store.
%%* TooDumbToLive: Yakkity (apparently).
* UnmovingPlaid: Professor Crazyhair's hair, except it did move, just... not in the way you'd expect. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cPgp2Xl_kg&feature=related Must be seen to be believed.]]
* TheUnwittingComedian: Actually an inversion— Yakkity's main goal in the series is to become a successful comedian, but it doesn't really take off because nobody thinks he's funny.
