The fourth ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom'' MadeForTVMovie that also serves as the GrandFinale. Fed up with Danny interfering in his plans, Vlad Plasmius introduces a new team of ghost fighters, Masters' Blasters, to Amity Park. The new team soon humiliates Danny to the point that he decides to give up his powers and live like a normal kid again (much to Sam's disappointment). However, when a gigantic asteroid released from his previous battle with Vlad threatens the planet, Danny must race to regain his powers and save the world.

[[folder:#-B]]
* TenMinuteRetirement: After suffering humiliation after humiliation thanks to Vlad's Masters' Blasters, Danny uses the Fenton Portal to remove his ghost powers, intending to live as a normal teen again. However, after a lecture from Sam, coupled with the Disasteroid crisis, Danny finds he can't remain on the sidelines and enacts a plan to save the world, regaining his ghost powers in the process.
* AlwaysNeedWhatYouGaveUp: It wasn't long after Danny gave up his ghost powers that he needs them to save the world. Fortunately, he gets them back.
* AmbiguousSituation: It isn't elaborated if Danny's identity was only revealed to his parents and everyone else at the South Pole, or to the world at large. Though Butch Hartman's "college years" concept for Danny's future has him as a well known superhero in human form, the canonicity of it is dubious at best.
* AndTheAdventureContinues: How the series ultimately ends, with Danny having shed his HeroWithBadPublicity image, his parents in the know on his secret identity (and Jack wanting Danny to be ''his'' sidekick now), and Tucker becoming Amity Park's new mayor. Danny and Sam figure Danny's life is going to be busier than ever now, and while Danny has no idea what the future holds for him, he wants Sam there by his side for it.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Vlad's decision to form the Masters' Blasters was because Danny took the Infi-Map from him, caused his satellite to explode, and made jokes about his mental health.
* ArtisticLicensePhysics: Meteors are pulled to Earth purely because of the planet's gravitational pull, which is centered in the core of the planet. Additionally, Earth still maintains its gravitational pull even when Danny and the Ghost Zone's inhabitants turn it intangible. Consequently, the Disasteroid would settle into the core of the Earth rather than passing through it completely in a straight line.
* ArtisticLicenseSpace: Oh boy... where to start? First off, an asteroid as big as the Disasteroid coming from the rings of Saturn to Earth would take much longer than what was shown. Even assuming it's been months, an object that large would have to travel 746 million miles. Even assuming it flows at the speed of a normal asteroid, which is about 15 miles per second, it would take almost two years. Even then, the Earth's rotation around the Sun is much quicker than Saturn's, meaning the odds of it even hitting Earth are still minimal at best. And as for the Disasteroid to actually cause the planet's destruction, it isn't big enough. It's certainly big enough to destroy Amity Park, but it would need to be around 60 miles wide to cause the planetary explosion depicted, and at least six miles wide to even potentially cause an extinction event.
* BaitAndSwitch: Considering the RunningGag in the montage, you would've thought that during Danny's battle with the ghost dragon, his costume would've been burned off by fire. Instead, it was shredded [[TailSlap when he was struck]] [[BewareMyStingerTail by its spiked tail]].
* TheBigDamnKiss: [[spoiler:Danny and Sam.]]
* {{Bookends}}:
** Fittingly for a finale, the episode has several moments that hearken back to the first episode of the series "[[Recap/DannyPhantomS1E1MysteryMeat Mystery Meat]]":
*** As Danny had wished in said episode, he finally finds a way to turn back to normal. However, he soon becomes regretful of the decision.
*** Just as the Lunch Lady was the first ghost attack Danny had faced in the series[[note]]not counting the ecto-pusses from the ColdOpening[[/note]], the Lunch Lady ends up being the final major ghost attack before the Disasteroid crisis begins[[note]]not counting Vlad, who is ultimately abandoned in space, or the other ghosts that attack Danny in the Ghost Zone[[/note]].
*** In the first episode, Danny had contemplated whether or not to tell his parents about his ghost powers. The series ends with them finally finding out.
*** The first episode began the series long ShipTease between Danny and Sam, with the two of them [[SheIsNotMyGirlfriend initially protesting it]]. Here, they finally complete their RelationshipUpgrade.
** A subtle one to the beginning of the season. In ''[[Recap/DannyPhantomS3E1EyeForAnEye Eye for an Eye]]'', Danny attempted to expose Vlad as a ghost in an effort to discredit him, only for it to backfire. Here, Vlad himself reveals his secret to the world in an effort to seize control of the world, only for ''that'' to backfire on him '''big time'''.
* BothSidesHaveAPoint: What the situation with Danny giving up his powers boils down to. On the one hand, Danny is right to feel despondent as Vlad's new ghost fighting team has been humiliating him at every turn, and after everything he's been through, he deserves to enjoy his life. On the other hand, as Sam explains, him flat out giving up was not the way to go about it, as he was not only allowing Vlad to go unimpeded with his deeds, he was merely using the fact that he didn't have powers as a rather flimsy excuse to not get involved, when there have been other ghost hunters that didn't have powers.
* BreadEggsMilkSquick: Technus manages to combine this with VillainsOutShopping.
-->'''Technus:''' Nothing like a lazy day of shopping ''(holds up a shopping bag)'', lattes ''(holds up a latte cup)'', and terrorizing minimum wage workers! ''(to a scared cashier)'' Boo. ''(The cashier runs away screaming)''
* BridalCarry: Danny does this with Sam at the end of the episode when they fly off to see where the future would take them.
* BrilliantButLazy: Upon hearing the plan to save the world his students helped Danny Phantom come up with, Mr. Lancer had this to say:
-->'''Lancer:''' They never put that much effort into their schoolwork!
* BrokenPedestal: Jack finally learns what kind of person Vlad really is.
* BroughtDownToNormal: After failing to catch ghosts, nearly hurting his friends, and getting his parents arrested, Danny decides to give up being a superhero. Fortunately, it doesn't last long.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:C-E]]
* CallBack: The Tucker-Bot from "[[Recap/DannyPhantomS3E7LivinLarge Livin' Large]]" makes a return when Jazz uses it as a stand in for Danny in human form.
* CantStayNormal: At first, Danny enjoys being normal again after giving up his ghost powers, but after Sam gets on him and an asteroid threatens to destroy the planet, Danny gets his powers back and saves the world.
* CelebratingTheHeroes: Following Danny saving the world from the Disasteroid, a statue of him in Amity Park and every capital of the world is erected. Of course, Danny and Sam are content to watch the dedication ceremony from a nearby hill.
* ChekhovsGun: The Infi-Map Danny and the others recover from Vlad at the beginning of the episode ends up playing a major role in the climax.
* CluelessAesop: Sam's rant after Danny gives up his powers is portrayed as her being in the right in the story, but many fans see it as Sam snapping at Danny for giving up what makes him "unique" and choosing to be normal, which she sees as a bad thing, and assuming it means that Sam doesn't see Danny as special besides his abilities. However, Sam actually seems more irritated over Danny giving up being a hero in general as she becomes happy when (still in his depowered state) he decides to use the Infi-Map to help save the world. While Sam is relieved when Danny gets his powers at the end, by that time Danny had come to miss them himself.
* ColonyDrop: The overarching threat of the film is the ectoranium asteroid on a collision course with Earth.
* ConflictKiller: The trouble Danny has with the Masters' Blasters becomes the least of his problems when the Disasteroid threatens the entire world, with the Blasters being unceremoniously dispatched by Vlad when he reveals his identity.
* CutleryEscapeAid: Jack mentions he intended to use a spoon to dig him and Maddie out of jail. It failed because they served ice cream.
* DarkestHour: Imagine seeing a jet carrying your last chance at saving the world have an explosive crash, seemingly killing the pilot. Then when all hope seems lost, you then discover that said pilot was actually ''your child''. That’s how Jack and Maddie learn the truth about Danny’s SecretIdentity in the worst way possible.
-->'''Jazz:''' ''(whispers)'' Danny!\
'''Sam:''' No! He… he can’t be!\
'''Tucker:''' ''(sees the meteor on the radar)'' It’s coming!\
''(The meteor starts to eclipse the sun)''\
'''Jack:''' Listen, I just want you all to know that… I love you. And I’m so proud of each and every one of you for trying your best.\
'''Jazz:''' We love you too, Dad.\
'''Maddie:''' ''(tearing up)'' At least we’re all together…\
'''Jazz:''' ''(starts crying)'' I… Oh, Mom… there’s something you need to know. ''(looks at the robot decoy dressed as Danny)''\
'''Maddie:''' ''(walks over and takes the wig off the robot decoy, and gasps)'' A robot? Where’s Danny? Jasmine, where’s your brother!? ''(Jazz looks over in the direction of the crash. Maddie gasps and follows her gaze.)'' Jack… ''where’s Danny?!''
* DealWithTheDevil: Vlad makes one with the whole world, with himself as "the devil". With all attempts to stop the Disasteroid failing, and the Earth's destruction all but imminent, Vlad reveals his Ghost half to the whole world. He offers that if all the world leaders unanimously pay him five hundred billion dollars and declare him supreme ruler of the world, he will use his powers on the Disasteroid to make it intangible and allow it to harmlessly pass through Earth. However, things turn out bad for the devil in this deal. After the world leaders sign the agreement and Vlad goes to space to finish the deal, he learns that he can't touch the Disasteroid because it is composed entirely of the unique anti-ghost element ectoranium. Vlad realizes that since he can't fulfill his end of the agreement and has already revealed himself to the world, he will be hunted forever if he returns to Earth, regardless of whether it is destroyed or not.
* TheDogBitesBack: From the very start, Jack has done everything in his power to mend bridges with his old friend Vlad, even to the point where [[ObliviousToHatred Vlad's hatred towards him is one-sided]]. Once it becomes [[InternalReveal both-sided]], Jack rescinds his friendship, ''by stranding him in outer space''.
* DramaticIrony: After Danny’s presentation of his plan to save the earth, Mr. Lancer comments that they, his students, never put that much effort in their schoolwork. And that’s coming from the same guy who used scare tactics in “The Ultimate Enemy”, rather than just encourage his own students to do their best on the C.A.T. test, as well as enforce “disciplinary action” as he saw fit.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: After all the crap Danny has gone through throughout the series, the ending of the series pays off for him: his SecretIdentity is revealed to his parents who accept him, he's finally rid of his HeroWithBadPublicity status and becomes a global hero, and best of all, his relationship with Sam finally makes the leap that it's been building up to since the first episode. His future is definitely looking brighter than it did [[WesternAnimation/TheUltimateEnemy previously]].
* EasilyElected: The goodwill from coming up with the world-saving plan has to be the only thing that enabled a fourteen year old boy who is still in high school and isn't able to vote to become mayor at the end of the episode.
* EarthShatteringKaboom: A simulation of the Disasteroid's damage to Earth shows that it wouldn't just crash into Earth, but also ''shatter it like glass,'' complete with a shattering sound effect.
* TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt: Unlike other times where the threat is a plan to TakeOverTheWorld, {{revenge}}, terrorizing people, and in Dark Danny's case, worldwide destruction, this time, the planet's very existence was in jeopardy of being demolished by the Disasteroid, and since the Ghost Zone is the flipside, it would go too.
* EnemyMine[=/=]GondorCallsForAid: [[spoiler:Just about every ghost Danny's ever faced and then some help turn the Earth intangible to save it. Mostly because [[PragmaticVillainy the destruction of Earth would destroy the Ghost Zone too...]]]]
* EntitledBastard: After revealing his true nature and that he doesn't consider Jack a friend, Vlad still genuinely expects Jack to help him after his plan to phase the Disasteroid through the Earth backfires, only for Jack to leave him stranded in space.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Minor example: Technus thinks stealing [=DVD=]s from a store isn't as bad as [[DigitalPiracyIsEvil downloading their content illegally]].
* EvilIsPetty: Vlad ''nearly dooms the world'' just to humiliate Jack, which comes back to bite him ''extremely'' hard when it turns out the asteroid is composed of a special anti-ghost mineral that he can't touch without injuring himself.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:F-H]]
* FailureHero: Danny continuously experiencing this is what mainly drove him to give up his powers. Fortunately, he managed to overcome it when he saved the world from the Dis-asteroid, becoming the biggest hero in the world.
* FoodPills: Jack isn't crazy about eating astronaut food en route to destroying the Disasteroid.
-->'''Jack''': Freeze-dried yam/smelt surprise. What the heck is that?!
* GarageBand: Jack mentions that in his youth, Jack and his friends used the skunk stripe look to start a band called the Skunk Punks. Unfortunately, it didn't go well.
-->'''Danny''': ''(Reading an old news article)'' "The Skunk Punks [[IncrediblyLamePun stink]]"?\
'''Jack''': Yeah, [[DidntThinkThisThrough we walked right into that one]].
* GoodNewsBadNews: Danny gives "Both News Are The Same" variant to Skulker and the ghosts that attacked him and accidentally restored his powers.
-->'''Danny''': You just made a big mistake. Well gang, there's good news and bad news. Good news my powers are back. [[PreAsskickingOneLiner Bad news…my powers are back!]]
* GrandFinale: The final animated installment and most epic episode of the series. The show would later continue in the graphic novel ''ComicBook/DannyPhantomAGlitchInTime''.
* HerBoyfriendsJacket: The class ring from "Flirting With Disaster" returns in this episode when Sam gives it to Danny to take it into the Ghost Zone with the promise of bringing it back. At the end of the episode, Danny puts the ring on Sam’s finger, completing the transition of them going from best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: See EvilIsPetty. But yeah Vlad ''really'' had it coming here. And amusingly it's not Danny, but Jack, the man he always hated, that delivers the final insult to him.
* HydrantGeyser: While patrolling the streets in the Fenton RV, Jack and Maddie crash into a hydrant. Jack tries to cover it up by saying the inspection of the water supply checks.
* HypocriticalHeartwarming: After Danny thanks Skulker and the other ghosts for their help, Skulker tells him not to get too comfortable as he'll be back to hunting Danny again... and adds (while smiling in a sort-of friendly way) that now that Danny has saved the world, he's a "much more valuable prize." Danny even returns the smile as they part.
* HypocriticalHumor: While stealing [=DVD=]s from a store, Technus tells a worker to "look on the bright side. At least [he's] not [[EvenEvilHasStandards downloading them illegally]]."
[[/folder]]

[[folder:I-L]]
* IfWeGetThroughThis: Danny says to Sam [[IfWeSurviveThis if they survive the asteroid crisis]] (Sam corrects him by saying ''when''), he says he wants to talk to her about their relationship. Fortunately, they get to.
* ImmediateSelfContradiction: Danny says this line after giving up his ghost powers:
-->'''Danny''': Danny Phantom is no longer needed. From now on, Danny ''Fenton'' is going to be a nice, ''normal'' guy in a nice ''normal'' family. Now, let's go get Mom and Dad out of jail.
* InstantBandages: When the Blasters blame Jack for destroying the wrong asteroid and pummel him to a pulp, the next scene featuring him has him sporting a black eye and his left arm in a sling.
* InternalReveal: Vlad Masters finally reveals to the world that he is the real identity of the ghost villain Vlad Plasmius. For the audience (and for Danny), TheReveal has happened as early as Vlad's introduction in [[Recap/DannyPhantomS1E7BitterReunions "Bitter Reunions"]]. It's also in this episode that Danny Fenton shows his parents that he is Danny Phantom, which has been known to the audience since the beginning.
* ItHasBeenAnHonor: A romantic version as Sam says to Danny that no matter how the Disasteroid crisis works out, she wouldn't change the adventures they've had since he got his powers for anything.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: Apparently, [=FentonWorks=] was only able to make one set of drill charges to destroy the Disasteroid. Unfortunately, Vlad makes them waste them by deliberately programming in the wrong coordinates.
* ItsAllMyFault: After the Fenton Portal explodes, Jack, [[DramaticIrony unaware that Danny had used it to remove his powers]], believed he was responsible due to trying to upgrade the software so he could download music faster.
-->'''Jack:''' Oh, curse me! And my impatience!
* KarmicShunning: Vlad reveal himself as Vlad Plasmius to the entire world and forces them to surrender control of the planet to him in exchange for saving it from the Disasteroid. [[LastSecondChance When Jack tries to reason with Vlad]], the latter reveals that he always resented Jack for causing the accident that gave him ghost acne and [[EvilGloating gloats that he's]] [[KickTheDog going to steal Maddie from him]], leading Jack to finally realize that Vlad isn't the friend he thought he was. When Vlad's plan to make the Disasteroid turn intangible fails and he realizes that he'll be a wanted fugitive if he returns to Earth, he shamelessly tries to beg Jack for help, but [[TheDogBitesBack Jack isn't having any of it and leaves him in outer space]].
* KickTheDog: When Jack tries to plead with Vlad not to go through his plan to TakeOverTheWorld and reminds him of their friendship, Vlad not only rejects him, [[EvilGloating but he proceeds to gloat that he's going to steal Maddie from him]]. This comes back to bite him when Vlad realizes too late that he can't turn the Disasteroid intangible, and since he revealed his secret identity to the entire world, he'll only be a wanted fugitive if he returns to Earth regardless of whether or not it's saved. Vlad shamelessly tries to beg Jack to help him, but [[TheDogBitesBack Jack has already grown disillusioned with him at this point and leaves him in outer space, now knowing that Vlad isn't the friend he thought he was]].
* KryptoniteFactor: Introduces the glowing green extraterrestrial mineral ectoranium, which is impervious to all ghost powers and hurts any ghost who touches it (which is why it's used in most human anti-ghost weapons and ghost hunting technology).
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: The Masters' Blasters, who, despite the fact that they show Danny up, are actually a very effective ghost hunting team.
* LastSecondChance: After Vlad reveals himself as Vlad Plasmius to the entire world and forces them to surrender control of the plant to him in exchange for saving it from the Disasteroid, Jack tries to plead with Vlad not to go through with it by reminding him of their friendship and even pointed out that he voted for him, only for Vlad to reject him and gloat that he’s going to steal Maddie from him. Jack becomes disillusioned with Vlad and finally realizes that he’s not the friend he thought he was, to the point that he has no qualms with leaving Vlad in outer space after the latter fails to turn the Disasteroid intangible and he shamelessly begs Jack to help him.
* TheLastStraw: The last thing that happens to convince Danny to give up his powers is Jack and Maddie being arrested by the Masters' Blasters for 'harboring a ghost'.
* LeastRhymableWord: As shown in this episode, finding a rhyme for 'Phantom' is tricky.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:M-O]]
* MassOhCrap: Skulker and a good amount of the Ghost Zone’s populace have this reaction when they [[NiceJobFixingItVillain unwittingly give Danny his ghost powers back]].
* MadeOfIndestructium: Not only does ectoranium painfully shock any ghost that tries to touch it, but it is apparently so durable that all of the world's best nukes are totally unable to destroy or divert it.
* MistakenForDyed: Upon noticing the white streak in Danny's hair, Jack and Maddie thought it was a good look for him.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: After Sam chews him out over giving up his powers and the ability to make a difference in the world, Danny comes to realize that he made a terrible mistake and tries to do what he can to make it right, even without his powers.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: During a montage of ghost battles, Danny's ghost costume keeps getting destroyed, leaving him in his undies.
-->'''Tucker''': Hmm, three news photos of you in your underwear. Nine more and you can have your own calendar.
* NegatedMomentOfAwesome: Just when it looks like Jack and the Blasters had succeeded in destroying the Disasteroid, it's revealed that they blew up the wrong one. Vlad had intentionally programmed the location of the wrong asteroid into the computer, which ends up biting him in the butt later on.
* NeverMyFault: While Vlad (correctly) gripes about Danny taking the Infi-Map from him and mocking his mental health, he also blames him for destroying his (Vlad's) satellite, which Vlad did in actuality.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: As it happens, being zapped by hundreds of ghosts at the same time manages to give Danny his ghost powers back. Whoops! Danny even lampshades it:
-->'''Danny''': [[PreAsskickingOneLiner You just made]] [[HesBack a]] ''[[HesBack big]]'' [[HesBack mistake.]]
* NonconformistDyedHair: After Danny got rid of his ghost powers, all that remained was a white streak in his hair. His powers ended up being restored when a massive amount of ecto-energy from Skulker and the other ghosts jumpstarted the residue ectoplasm in the streak.
* NotHelpingYourCase: When Danny was considering getting rid of his powers to everyone's concern, he demanded to know one reason why he shouldn't. Tucker replied "You're the target of hundreds of evil ghosts!", only to realize that's ''not'' a good thing.
* NowOrNeverKiss: Combined with an OrbitalKiss. Just before Danny goes off into the Ghost Zone to round up the ghosts needed to power the transfer device, he and Sam share their official FirstKiss.
-->'''Danny:''' ''(Breathlessly)'' Wow. Remind me to save the world more often.
* NowYouTellMe: Due to Danny's interference at the beginning, Vlad doesn't learn about the Disasteroid being entirely composed of ectoranium until he attempts to turn it intangible.
* OfficialCouple: Danny and Sam finally get together at the end of this episode.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Jack's friendliness with Vlad often borders on the oblivious, going to great lengths to rekindle their friendship despite that Vlad clearly wants nothing to do with him. But once he learns that Vlad actively hates him (to the point he's trying to steal his wife to partly spite him), something changes in Jack. The very instant Vlad tries to ask for help, Jack demonstrates a cold disdain towards him for the first time and leaves him stranded in space, indicating that [[GoodIsNotDumb even he knows Vlad is a lost cause]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:P-T]]
* PaperThinDisguise: Jazz disguises the Tucker-Bot to look like Danny Fenton during the climax. Despite looking nothing like Danny, let alone sounding like him, Jack falls for it. Twice.
-->'''Jack:''' I gotta admit, he was good. After all, it's nearly impossible to fool me. Isn't that right, Danny?\
'''[[InstantlyProvenWrong Tucker-Bot:]]''' [[InstantlyProvenWrong Affirmative, Father.]]\
'''Jack:''' ''(Obliviously)'' That's my boy!
* PlotHole:
** Freakshow appears as a [[TheCameo cameo]] in the Ghost Zone, even though he's not a ghost.
** Several ghosts that have been destroyed in previous episodes, such as two of the monster ghosts from "Memory Blank" (Femalien and Terminatra) and Danny's monster clone from "Kindred Spirits" somehow make cameos in the episode. Additionally, the three fictional supervillains from ''Reality Trip'', who were just temporary transformations of three geeks that happened because of the Gem of Fantasy, somehow appear as well (and the Crystal Leviathan is disproportionately huge compared to his original appearance).
** [[WesternAnimation/ReignStorm Pariah Dark]] also appears as a cameo in the mass of ghosts surrounding Danny in the Ghost Zone, as if he were just another regular ghost.
* RelationshipUpgrade: Danny and Sam finally get together at the end of this episode.
* RidingIntoTheSunset: The last scene of the episode (and the series) is Danny and Sam [[OffIntoTheDistanceEnding flying off]] to see where the future takes them.
* SadisticChoice: Vlad imposes one on the world: Either pay him 500 billion dollars and crown him absolute ruler of the world once he saves the Earth by turning the asteroid intangible, or he'll let the asteroid destroy the Earth. However, Danny and his friends decide to TakeAThirdOption once Vlad's plan falls through and he is abandoned in space by Jack.
* SaveBothWorlds: Since the Ghost Zone is connected to Earth, the Earth being smashed by the Disasteroid would destroy the Ghost Zone as well. Danny used this detail to convince his ghostly enemies to help him save Earth and the Ghost Zone.
* SciFiWritersHaveNoSenseOfScale: It takes about three weeks for the asteroid to reach Earth from Saturn's rings. Saturn is 746 million miles from Earth, so for the asteroid to reach it in such a short period of time, it would have to have been traveling at around 1.5 million miles per hour.
* SecretHandshake: When Tucker announces his status as techno-geek during the presentation of the plan to save the world, a bunch of nerds give him a [[Franchise/StarTrek Vulcan-like gesture]], which he returns.
-->'''Nerds:''' Hi, Tucker!\
'''Tucker:''' Dudes.
* SkewedPriorities: Jack gets more upset about Danny destroying a parade balloon than Tucker and Sam nearly getting killed, calling it "Un-American".
* SpinningNewspaper: These show the Masters' Blasters victories, as well as Danny in his underwear.
* StrongAsTheyNeedToBe: Despite Danny being able to defeat [[GreenThumb Undergrowth]], [[OurDragonsAreDifferent Aragon]], and [[WeatherManipulation Vortex]] in past episodes, here Danny suffered humiliating defeats at their hands ([[ClothingDamage and getting his costume destroyed by them]]) while the Masters' Blasters saved the day. Although, this could just be a {{Subversion}} of VillainForgotToLevelGrind. That or he may have worn himself out.
* TakeAThirdOption: Vlad's initial plan was to use his powers to ghost the Disatoroid through Earth only to find out it's made of a substance that negate his powers. Danny, learning from this after regaining his powers, decides if they can't divert or destroy the asteroid, [[spoiler: then just ghost Planet Earth instead and have the asteroid pass through it. Though it takes every known ghost in the series to pull off that kinda power.]]
* TearsOfJoy: Sam sheds these when she and Danny get together, it being the only time in the series where she cries.
* ThatManIsDead: As apparently shown in this line of dialogue:
-->'''Vlad''': Jack, you have to help me! You wouldn't turn your back on an old friend, would you?
-->'''Jack''': An old friend? No. You? ''[[RefuseToRescueTheDisliked Yes.]]''
* ThrowTheDogABone: In addition to Danny's aforementioned EarnYourHappyEnding, Tucker, who had a pretty big ButtMonkey status of his own, ended up becoming the youngest mayor in Amity Park's history.
* TrailerParkTornadoMagnet: During the montage of the ghost battles Danny goes through while trying to prove himself better than the Masters' Blasters, [[WeatherManipulation Vortex]], who is basically a living tornado, is seen attacking a trailer park.
* TrashTheSet: When Danny uses the Fenton Portal to get rid of his ghost powers, it results in the portal exploding beyond repair. Despite Maddie saying Jack can build a new one, Jack doesn't want to.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:U-Y]]
* UncertainDoom: Vlad's fate. He's seen hit by the Disasteroid at the end of the episode, which is made of a material that is harmful to him. WordOfGod is that he did survive and was [[MadeASlave captured by aliens]][[note]]Then again, he was bound to survive anyways, considering that he's coming back in the upcoming graphic novel[[/note]].
* TheUnmasking: Done twice. First, Vlad reveals his true identity to the world in a blackmail scheme. Then, Danny reveals ''his'' true identity to his parents, along with [[TheRival rival]] Valerie and hundreds of other people. Unlike Vlad's case, everyone accepts him.
* VillainRespect: In the end, Skulker congratulates Danny on saving the world and says that's made him [[WorthyOpponent even more worthy prey than ever before]].
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: We don't see the Masters' Blasters again following Vlad revealing his identity to the world.
* WhatTheHellHero: Sam delivers a ''scathing'' one to Danny when he is perfectly content to give up his powers and stand back as ghosts terrorize the city, Vlad extorts the city, and Danny gets to be "normal".
-->'''Sam:''' You're not you anymore. You're just a-a normal kid, and a ''selfish'' one at that.\
'''Danny:''' How am I selfish? Because I don't want to endanger the people I care about the most?\
'''Sam:''' Danny, don't you get it? Your powers gave you a chance to change things! A chance that no one else had, and I was thrilled to help you. But now you're just one of the crowd again.\
'''Danny:''' What's wrong with that?\
'''Sam:''' Everything! You got to fight ghosts after school while other kids fought acne. And you don't seem to care what you gave up.\
'''Danny:''' I care! I just care about you and my family more.\
'''Sam:''' When you had your powers, I ''knew'' that this town was protected from evil. But now, who knows where we're headed? I'll always be your friend Danny, and I'll always be there for you. But I can't live life just sitting on the sidelines. I'm surprised you think you can.
* WhatYouAreInTheDark: After Danny seemingly fails to convince his ghostly foes to help him save the Earth and the Ghost Zone from the Disasteroid, we cut to a shot of them closing in up on him ... and then a few minutes later, we see them join him in saving the world. Danny even lampshades it with Skulker:
-->'''Danny''': I still can't believe you guys agreed to help me. Looks like there really is a heart underneath all that cyber-armor.
* WholePlotReference: Has the same basic premise (the hero needs to save the world from being hit by a rock falling from space, only to find out it's made from the one element that harms his species, making the task not nearly as easy as it should have been) as [[Recap/TheAdventuresOfSupermanS2E12PanicInTheSky "Panic in the Sky"]], the legendary episode of ''Series/TheAdventuresOfSuperman''.
* WorthyOpponent: Having saved both the Earth and the Ghost Zone, the ghosts all agree that Danny has earned their mutual respect, Skulker speaking for all of them as he assures Danny that while he won't give up so easily on hunting Danny to still mount him on his trophy wall, his heroic act has earned him Skulker's VillainRespect, and the ghosts part from Danny on amicable terms.
--> '''Danny:''' I don't know what to say, other than "thanks", Skulker. To all of you.\
'''Skulker:''' Don't get too mushy on us, Ghost Child. Remember: I'll ''never'' stop hunting you. ''(Smiling)'' And now that you've saved your world, you're a ''much'' more valuable prize.\
(''Danny smiles as Skulker leads Walker, Desiree, Ember, Undergrowth, Youngblood, Lunch Lady, Box Ghost, Fright Knight, Johnny 13, Kitty, Clockwork, Wulf, Technus, and the rest of the ghosts back to the Ghost Zone'')
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: A nonverbal, nonlethal version. When Vlad reveals his ghost identity, [[LockedOutOfTheLoop much to the shock of the Masters' Blasters]], [[CurbStompBattle he quickly dispatches them before they can even fire]].
