!!Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Tropes:

* AmazingTechnicolorWildlife: The episode "Five Nuts and a Baby" features a pair of fruit bats who want to eat Coconut Fred and his friends. One of the fruit bats is blue while the other is purple.
%%* AmbiguouslyGay: Mr. Greenrind.
* Angrish: In "Bananas For Golf", Mr. Greenrind goes into this when a gopher spits out his golf ball from the hole.
* AnthropomorphicFood: The entire cast is walking fruit.
* BearsAreBadNews: Fred attempts to juggle a bear for a world record.
* BewitchedAmphibians: In "Hocus Pocus, Lack of Focus", Coconut Fred casts a magic spell on Wedgie that turns him into a frog.
* ButtMonkey: Mr. Greenrind and Wedgie suffer the most out of the entire cast.
* Cephalothorax: Coconut Fred, Mr. Greenrind, Bingo Cherry, Wedgie, and Butchy are all fruits with arms and legs attached to their heads.
%%* CityOfAdventure: The titled place.
%%* Cloudcuckoolander: Fred.
* TheComplianceGame: In "Five Nuts and a Baby", Fred attempts to feed a baby, which was actually a fruit bat in disguise. The fruit bat refused to eat the baby food, so Fred pretends that the spoon is a flying saucer place and a real one came along to put baby food in his mouth.
* TheDentistEpisode: The episode "Fruit Canal" is about Coconut Fred taking Bingo to the dentist to take care of his toothache.
* DisembodiedEyebrows: Coconut Fred's eyebrows are not connected to him in any way.
* DisguisedInDrag: In "Fred Rules!", Coconut Fred puts Mr. Greenrind's rules board back together in such a way that all the rules get scrambled. One of the scrambled rules, "no seconds for Mr. Greenrind", prevents him from eating another piece of cake during a luau, which he tries to get around by disguising himself as a woman named "Melony"... which doesn't fool Fred.
* TheDitz: Slip and Slide are not particularly bright, effectively making them the Patrick Star of the show.
%%* TheEeyore: Mr. Greenrind.
* ExtraExtraReadAllAboutIt: Coconut Fred says this in "No News is Good News".
%%* FatBastard: Vic and Ripley Van Ripen.
* FourFingeredHands: Every character has four fingers on their hands.
* GettingEatenIsHarmless: In "Fruity Booty", being eaten by the Snack Serpent doesn't harm Butchy in the slightest, and he can speak from within it, telling the Snack Serpent that "Crab apples cause indigestion!" and making the serpent vomit Butchy back up.
%%* Gonk: Mr. Greenrind.
* GuinnessEpisode: In "The Ripley Van Ripend Book of World Records", Coconut Fred, disappointed that he is the only fruit on the island who has not done so already, tries to find a world record to break.
* HiccupHijinks: "A Bad Case of the Fruitcups" is about Mr. Greenrind getting the hiccups.
* IntelligibleUnintelligible: Coconut Fred and co. have no trouble understanding Bunga Berry's grunting.
* IrisOut: Most episodes end this way.
%%* Keet: Fred.
* KonamiCode: Coconut Fred uses this code near the end of "Sir Nut-a-Lot" to summon a pipe to escape from a hydra-like monster and teleport to Butchy's castle.
* MarketBasedTitle: The Latin American dub of the episode "Sir Nut-a-Lot" is called "Sir Cocolot".
* MeaningfulName: Slip and Slide's names refer to the classic joke of someone slipping on a banana peel.
* MixAndMatchCritters: In the episode "Fruity Booty", Coconut Fred imagines the Snack Serpent with a chicken's head and lobster claws after Slip and Slide mention that's how they imagine it.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: At least one episode features a celebrity singer parodying Music/BritneySpears, known as Tiffany Pears.
* NOT: In "Fruity Booty", Butchy the apple steals a kids pool resembling a serpent to pretend to be the Snack Serpent. When he goes to take the pool, he says to the children playing in it, "Hey kids, sorry to pull the plug on your fun... not."
* OnlySaneMan: Mr. Greenrind, who tries to make sense of Fred's antics.
%%** Bingo when Mr. Greenrind isn't there.
* ParodyEpisode: The "Sir Nut-a-Lot" episode was primarily a parody of VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII, with Coconut Fred serving as Cloud and Butchy playing the Sephiroth expy. But then, you had Slip and Slide dressed like the Franchise/SuperMarioBros, and Bingo being the obligatory help character; Navi, in this case. The end of the episode is a parody of VideoGame/DonkeyKong.
* RegretEatingMe: In "Fruity Booty", the Snack Serpent eats Butchy. Afterwards, he says "Good luck trying to eat me! Crab apples cause indigestion!", prompting the Serpent to vomit Butchy back up.
* SendInTheClones: The episode "Coconut Freds" involves Coconut Fred finding a magic printer and using it to create multiple duplicates of himself.
* ShortRunner: Lasted only 13 episodes.
* ShoutOut:
** At some point in "Master of Disaster", one of the banana twins gets out a hand puppet that looks like Prickle.
** The episode "Sir Nut-a-Lot" parodies several video games, particularly VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII.
** In "Fruit Canal", when Slip and Slide go searching for Bingo, one of them finds a fish which says "Call the police!", a possible reference to WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow.
* SickEpisode: "A Cold Day on Fruit Salad Island", in which Fred wakes up sick with a “Co-Co Cold” on the day of a carnival.
* SuperheroEpisode: "Captain Nut and the Power Fruits" is about Coconut Fred and the others becoming superheroes to defeat Blendark.
%%* TheNapoleon: Wedgie.
%%* ThoseTwoGuys: Slip and Slide.
%%* ThreateningSharks: Fred attempts to juggle a shark for a world record.
* TitleThemeTune: In fact, literally the only spoken words in the intro are the show's title (with Coconut Fred's one instance of "Yay, me!" notwithstanding).
* ToiletHumor: Throughout the episode "Master of Disaster", Melvin the volcano keeps expelling gases that are meant to be farts as it prepares to erupt, with sound effects to match. The other characters keep thinking Mr. Greenrind is the one passing gas.
* TrappedInATanningBed: In one episode, Mr. Greenrind is just trying to have a relaxing day while Fred insists on making him the guest of honor at his new resort and theme park. As a result, he has Fred following him around and ruining everything, including Fred falling asleep at one point when Mr. Greenrind is in a tanning bed, resulting in him being in there long enough to be in burning, screaming pain.
* TropicalIslandAdventure: Naturally, given that the title of the show literally mentions an island and all the characters are anthropomorphic fruits.
