''Life Sketch'' is a MassivelyMultiplayerCrossover {{webcomic}} with ''VideoGame/MapleStory'' sprites. It contains elements and characters from ''Anime/CodeGeass'', ''Anime/PrincessTutu'', ''Series/DoctorWho'', ''VideoGame/AWitchsTale'', and others. It was created by {{Tropers/Shygirl}}, a contributor.

A little girl named Koneko Tachimachi uses her magic sketchbook to bring her favorite anime and video game characters to life. Only she and the Eleventh Doctor know that the characters are just characters, however, and must keep the secret from them or else have them GoMadFromTheRevelation. On top of that, they have to deal with Dr. Crackenstien and his band of supervillains trying to steal the sketchbook and use it to take over the world.

And, as the fates would have it, HilarityEnsues.

The first issue can be read [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-01-Nice-To-See-You-132945076 here]] on Website/DeviantArt, or [[http://lifesketch.smackjeeves.com/comics/924149/nice-to-see-you/ here]] on Website/SmackJeeves.

!!''Life Sketch'' contains examples of:

* AffablyEvil: The Crackenstien family.
* AllJustADream:
** [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-18-Baby-Boomer-159123717 Nobody's pregnant, Lelouch. Go back to sleep.]]
* {{Anticlimax}}: [[spoiler: Audrey's]] capture is entirely offscreen, and she is quickly Geassed away. This didn't go unlampshaded.
* AppliedPhlebotinum: The sketchbook.
* ArtInitiatesLife: The entire premise is based on this.
* BaldOfEvil: Eliott.
* BerserkButton: Loue's is making biased judgments towards vampires, apparently.
* BetaCouple: Myuto and Rue.
* {{Bifauxnen}}: Music/JustinBieber, [[https://web.archive.org/web/20161209075054/http://i978.photobucket.com/albums/ae266/Katrina_OShay/ifonly.png~original apparently.]] Notice how the name of the image file is ''[[AuthorAppeal if only...]]''
* BillBillJunkBill: [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-15-Letter-157711339 And something about a shoe.]]
* BizarreAlienBiology: Lampshaded in the April Fools special.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: A particularly strange example. According to WordOfGod, the White Space where Jandoe and Zenith reside exists ''inside'' the fourth wall.
* BrickJoke: Loue challenges Rue to a fight [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-20-Bloodlust-159803021 here.]] In the very next issue, he is seen with a black eye.
* CardCarryingVillain: Crackenstien and company.
* CatGirl: Koneko is always seen wearing a cat costume.
* CerebusSyndrome: Seems to happen on and off.
* CharacterDevelopment: Myuto, who has had absolutely no personality in the [[Anime/PrincessTutu series of his origin]] due to not having a heart, has been slowly developing since the comic began.
* ChekhovsGag: What's green and hops from bed to bed? Cause it sure ain't a [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-16-Riddle-Me-This-158183511 prostitoad]]...
* TheChewToy: Zenith always get embarrassing costumes in holiday specials.
* ClothingSwitch: In the CouchGag of the April Fool's Day issue.
* ContinuityNod[=/=]MythologyGag: The author seems to enjoy these.
* CreditsGag: Two original characters, Jandoe and Zenith, appear in the otherwise blank panel for the disclaimers and have some sort of a witty banter. Sometimes this involves Jandoe singing a little song.
* DawsonCasting: Koneko, despite being eight, started out about as tall as all of the older characters around her due to the limitations of using of ''VideoGame/MapleStory'' characters as sprites. This problem was fixed in [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-30-Some-People-183250853 issue 30.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: C.C..
* DeathIsCheap: When threatened with death by Lelouch, C.C. merely winks and says it wouldn't be the first time.
* DepravedBisexual: Implied. See PrisonRape.
* DropInCharacter: The Doctor. Specifically, the Eleventh Doctor. Apparently someone couldn't wait for series 5 to start.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: [[Anime/CodeGeass C.C.]] initially mistakes the Doctor for a female in [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-04-Geronimo-150164241 issue 4]]. In the [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-09-The-Facts-154153694 Valentine's Day special]] he shows up with a different hairstyle, claiming that he tried to make himself look "less girly" (and failed). It wasn't permanent.
* DynamicEntry: [[spoiler: Dr. Crackenstein and his sons]] introduce themselves by [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-38-Crash-Through-the-Roof-207416239 crashing through the roof]] of the OK Cafe.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Dr. Crackenstien has been shown to genuinely care for his cloned sons.
* FunWithAcronyms: The P.I.T., which stands for People In Tuxedos according to Jandoe.
* HeavySleeper:
** [[Anime/PrincessTutu Myuto]] apparently has a habit of sleeping in until at least 11:30 in the [[strike: afternoon]] morning.
** The narcoleptic [[VideoGame/AWitchsTale Loue]] also manages to sleep through an entire conversation, leaving Myuto to talk to himself for ten minutes.
* HellBentForLeather: Jerimiah.
* ImportantHaircut: Loue is getting one in issue 46.
* IncrediblyLamePun: Q: what's green and hops from bed to bed? A: [[spoiler: a fucking leprechaun.]] Thank you, Myuto.
* InMediasRes: The comic starts with C.C. and Lelouch being given a tour of the household. The explanations are given later on.
* JumpedAtTheCall: The green-haired girl in the cafe flat-out asked to be taken to the villains' hideout.
* KaleidoscopeEyes: Eliott. Actually, it's more like Kaleidoscope ''half of his face''.
* MadScientist: The aptly named [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Doctor Crackenstien]].
* MadwomanInTheAttic: Loue subverts this, as he is neither AxeCrazy nor TheGrotesque. Just don't ask what he was doing locked in the basement in the first place.
** [[LiteralMinded Sleeping in a puddle of tomato juice?]]
* MeaningfulName:
** Koneko Tachimachi. See the [[http://comments.deviantart.com/1/152732737/1364018929 comments]] for [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-07-Lineage-152732737 issue 7.]]
** Also, Doctor Crackenstien. He's a parody of Franchise/{{Frankenstein}}, only ten times crazier. [[VisualPun And his glasses are broken.]]
* {{Meido}}: C.C. when she becomes Koneko's slave for a week.
* MisterSeahorse: The Doctor apparently [[http://kitty-the-waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-18-Baby-Boomer-159123717 gets pregnant]] along with Rue, C.C. and [[{{Squick}} Koneko]]. Averted, however, since it was AllJustADream.
* MorallyAmbiguousDoctorate: Dr. Crackenstien.
* MrExposition: The two newscasters.
* NoodleImplements:
** The events described whenever Koneko's parents show up.
** Also, if Loue's WakingNonSequitur is to be believed, how did Myuto go from talking about Music/TaylorSwift to talking about ''WesternAnimation/TheLandBeforeTime'' when [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-17-Alternatively-158913626 he was the only one talking?]]
* OhCrap: Crackenstien's reaction when he turns around and sees ''everyone pointing guns at him.''
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: All Vampires Are Different: The moral given at the end of the three-part arc that introduced Loue.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Lump, the little girl zombie who's a friend of Koneko. She's vegan, her expression never changes and she can only say the word "Ungh..." which everyone else can apparently understand perfectly well.
* ParentalAbandonment: Koneko's parents are currently on a mission around the world, and apparently have been for a few years. She doesn't seem too upset about it.
** [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-15-Letter-157711339 Issue 15]] seems to imply that it has something to do with a glacier bombing...
* PrisonRape: [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Spike]] [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-22-The-Fang-Gang-171186413 seems to have this in mind]] when [[spoiler: Loue is incarcerated,]] but doesn't go through with it, claiming he has a girlfriend.
* PsychopathicManChild: Elliot.
* PunnyName: [[CutesyNameTown The setting itself.]] The city of Hannah, in the state of Montana. [[Series/HannahMontana Ring a bell?]]
* RedShirt: Lampshaded in the mouse-over comment [[http://lifesketch.smackjeeves.com/comics/943953/the-kicker/ here]].
* TheReveal: [[spoiler: The green-haired girl in the cafe is Audrey]]. Or at least [[spoiler: they have the same name.]]
* ScheduleSlip: Has happened a couple times: The author was taking care of a pregnant stray cat.
* ShoutOut:
** Plenty. The title itself is a reference to Manga/DeathNote.
** Koneko and her friends listen to Music/TheProtomen in issue 45.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The real spelling of Myuto's name is Mytho. Myuto offers a better pronunciation guide.
* SubvertedRhymeEveryOccasion: Every verse in [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-33-Silly-Songs-With-Duck-186419961 Duck's song]] has one.
* ThisIsForEmphasisBitch: [[BerserkButton DO YOU WANNA FIGHT ME?!]]
* ThoseTwoGuys: [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Spike]] and [[Literature/TheTwilightSaga Edward]], two vampiric friends of Loue [[spoiler: whom he met in prison]].
* VaporWear: C.C. doesn't wear underwear. Unless she has to. [[NoodleImplements We never quite find out why.]]
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Duck can turn into her human and duck forms.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Both Eliott and Jerimiah.
* WhosOnFirst: [[http://Kitty-the-Waterbaby.deviantart.com/art/LS-03-Streamers-149304759 Issue 3]], which not only alludes to Series/DoctorWho, but also the [[Music/AlvinAndTheChipmunks Witch Doctor]].
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Jerimiah's two weeks old. [[spoiler: And he's already lost his virginity.]]
