->'''Captain Janet:''' You know, That's some negative stereotyping. Just because I'm a ''lesbian'' doesn't mean I'm a thief.
->'''Sally Speed:''' You're a ''pirate''!
->'''Captain Janet:''' A valid point.

Susie Bell, an [[UnfazedEveryman ordinary secretary]] on Earth, attracts attention of an [[HumanAliens alien]] raiding party of [[QueerRomance lesbian]] SpacePirates, who believe that she is the long-lost princess of their planet and [[AlienAbduction abduct her]]. That's pretty much it for the main story.

''I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space'' (IWKBLPFOS for short... don't look at us like that) is a webcomic written and drawn by Megan Rose Gedris and published on Platform/TheDuck. First published in March 2007, it started off as a [[SatireParodyPastiche cheesy parody/affectionate pastiche]] of 1950's sci-fi pulp paperback comics featuring [[NinjaPirateZombieRobot pirates, aliens, and lesbians]]. It later suffered from CerebusSyndrome and has since gathered a large fandom, thanks to its regular updates (which isn't the case with so, so many other webcomics) and... oh, come on, it has '''[[NinjaPirateZombieRobot alien lesbian pirates from space]]'''!

Here's the [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/ link]]. Unfortunately, the creator [[http://rosalarian.tumblr.com/post/65353128180/its-with-extreme-sadness-that-i-announce-that-my had to end the comic and take it offline]] due to some stressful [[ScrewedByTheNetwork rights issues]] with Platinum Studios (as explained in that post). The archives currently have no official home, but they can [[KeepCirculatingTheTapes still be found on file-sharing sites]].

* BizarreAlienSenses: The main characters tend to have antennae. WordOfGod is that these are for some bizarre sixth sense which [[HandWave humans don't understand]]. [[invoked]]
* BlindSeer: [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=224 A whole planet of them]].
* BreakingTheFourthWall: References to the Fourth Wall and talking to the audience are sprinkled throughout the comic, but the most obvious is the intermission [[http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/I_Was_Kidnapped_By_Lesbian_Pirates_From_Outer_Space/index.php?p=349235 The Search For The Fourth Wall]].
* BridalCarry: The cover of the first issue shows the heroine being kidnapped by the eponymous lesbian space pirate this way.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Dr. Wendy never finished medical school and mainly uses devices meant for ''children'' instead of professional equipment. Somehow she still remains the doctor for the crew. However, when she decides she should go back and finish med school the other agree that it's probably a good idea.
* TheCaptain: Uh, she IS referred as TheCaptain, though her real name is [[spoiler:Janet]].
* CastFullOfGay: Well, kind of the point when there's a whole ''planet'' of lesbians who go around kidnapping lesbians from other planets to join them.
* CasualDangerDialogue: Marge and Velma seem more concerned about the [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=222 definition of cannibalism]] than the fact that they are about to be dinner.
* TheCavalryArrivesLate: Male Man doesn't get to the bank until after the girls have robbed it and gone.
* ChekhovsGun: Susie is kidnapped just after the Gaydar is explained to her. She starts thinking pervy lesbian thoughts to lead the pirates to her.
* CleavageWindow: Betty's maid outfit.
* CloudCuckooLander: Dr. Wendy is out there, even for a mad scientist.
* CombatStilettos: The pirates all wear sexy high heels. Janet's crew wears thigh high red boots.
* CureYourGays: [[spoiler: Happens to Marge when she is captured by the evil empire.]]
* {{Cyborg}}: Quisp and her mechanical husband Dronx somehow managed to birth a ''natural'' cyborg.
* DamselInDistress: Susie has a knack for [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=114 getting kidnapped]].
* DeliberateValuesDissonance: The comic being set in the 1950s, Susie makes the mistake of assuming a black pirate is a maid.
* DidIJustSayThatOutLoud: subverted when [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=210 the answer is no]], and then [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=216 played straight]] later.
* DistinguishingMark: How to identify the missing princess.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler: Jane, the one redshirt everyone wanted to live]]

* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: See the entry for TheCaptain above.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: SpacePirates. Who are lesbians. That kidnap the main character.
* ExpressiveHair: The lesbians' antennae serve this purpose.
* EyelessFace: The Tiresians.
* EyepatchOfPower: First Mate Marge's.
* FaintInShock: The first time anyone points a stun gun at Susie she just faints dead away, to the bemusement of the woman intending to achieve the same result by force.
* TheFantasticTropeOfWonderousTitles
* FountainOfYouth: [[spoiler:Queen Penny is shoved in one by Betty, so she can save the planet.]]
* GadgeteerGenius: Alice + junkheap = RocketBoots in ten minutes.
* GirlOnGirlIsHot: Leading to Male Man being DistractedByTheSexy.
* GladToBeAliveSex: Ursula jumps Susie after she [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=346 saves her]].
* GoshDangItToHeck: Susie talks this way, the pirates curse like, well, sailors.
* GotMeDoingIt: Janet's uncharacteristic "''[[GoshDangItToHeck golly]]''" after having sex with Susie conveys an awful lot in just one word.
* GreenEyedMonster: Susie only realizes she has feelings for The Captain when she sees her pursuing another woman.
* GreenSkinnedSpaceBabe: With polka dots!
* GroinAttack: Velma [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=130 nails]] Male Man.
* HandsomeLech: Velma is a rare female example with her dedication to bedding girls.
* HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday: Susie, until she finally accepts her feelings for the Captain. She didn't even believe lesbians were ''real'' until the pirates kidnapped her. She thought they had been made up for pulp comics.
* HistoricalInJoke: Lampshaded [[http://rosalarian.com/lesbianpirates/?p=1813 here]].
* HumanAliens: Except for the antennae, the aliens look mostly human.
* HuntingTheMostDangerousGame: Commander Shaw from the Intergalactic Justice Force enjoys the hunt for criminals so much, he lets the girls slip away when they are weakened and won't provide a good enough challenge for him. He even mentions the trope [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=342 by name]].
* IfICantHaveYou: Calypso is rather {{Yandere}} for Betty.
* ImmortalitySeeker: Betty is one by proxy -- she wants to find the FountainOfYouth so that her ''mother'' can achieve immortality and stay queen forever.
* InnocentBigot: Susie thinks the first black alien she meets [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=316 is a maid]].
* ItsWhatIDo: The girls often remind people that [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=219 they are pirates]] to explain their behavior.
* IWasQuiteALooker: The younger queen Penny looked just like Betty.
* {{Jerkass}}: Male Man
* TheLadette: Marge drinks, fights, and swears like a man. She also wears a badass eyepatch.
* LampshadeHanging: The dreaded [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=21 Plot Hole]]!
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Susie thinks it all sounds like something from a comic. A good one, mind.
* LegCling: The cover of [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=47 chapter three]].
* LesbianVampire: Eventually there are vampires, who are also lesbians.
* LoveMakesYouCrazy: It's [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=371 the best kind of insanity]].
* MadDoctor: WordOfGod is that Dr. Wendy is one, though [[TakeOurWordForIt it doesn't show much]]. [[invoked]]
* TheMainCharactersDoEverything: Spoofed when the main characters are having a MissionBriefing, and someone points out that if everyone's here, ''[[WhoIsDriving who's flying the ship?!]]'' They promptly crash into a planet.
* ModestyBedsheet: Susie and The Captain [[http://rosalarian.com/lesbianpirates/?p=1766 use one]]. Velma later [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=143 uses one]] to wander the ship after sexy-time with Marge.
* MyLifeFlashedBeforeMyEyes: Ursula says hers did when she was [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=341 hanging from the cliff]].
* MySensorsIndicateYouWantToTapThat: The spaceship comes fitted with a state of the art Gaydar which can detect lesbian thoughts on the other side of a solar system.
* NakedPeopleAreFunny: The Captain is so excited to tell the others she's [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=109 figured out Susie is the princess]], she runs off without her clothes to gather them and tell them.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot
* NoodleImplements: A [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=21 garden hose]] is somehow involved in Captain Janet's theory of why Susie could be one of them but not have antennae.
* NWordPrivileges: The comic is written by a lesbian. Inverted in the common responses to strips that make men look really bad.
* PairTheSpares: Subverted with [[spoiler:Alice and Dr. Wendy]].
* PaperThinDisguise: Sally calls Male Man on his pathetic [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=93 alter ego disguise]].
-->'''Sally''': Is everyone you know really dumb?
* PirateGirl: Lesbian ones from outer space.
* ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything:Lampshaded and averted almost immediately. Susie really [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=26 wishes]] they were sometimes.
* PlanetOfHats: Lesbos-1 is entirely populated by lesbians. Semi-justified via backstory.
* PutOnABus: Male Man was put in an escape pod and launched onto a planet. People have noted his disappearance, but no one seems too concerned about looking for him.
* PsychoLesbian: Almost every member of TheCaptain's crew, though in a good way.
* ReallyGetsAround: Velma is a shameless womanizer. Marge gets her share of the action too. They constantly "break up" whenever they feel like picking up some chicks and then get back together right after.
* RecycledInSPACE: According to the WordOfGod, the ''Return to Lesbos'' arc is at least partially inspired by Creator/{{Homer}}'s ''Literature/TheOdyssey''. And it's set in space. [[invoked]]
* RedShirt: Repeatedly {{lampshaded}}, as seen [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=182 here]].
* {{Retirony}}: Lampshaded and subverted. After the oft-mentioned Redshirt finally gets off Sally's ship, [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=274 he walks off into the sunset]]. This while Sally counts down, [[WrongGenreSavvy expecting him to be hit by a falling sattelite]].
* [[RidingIntoTheSunset Walking into the Sunset]]: As mentioned in {{Retirony}}, above.
* RocketBoots
* SciFiLGBT: The kind of work it was originally parodying (proving the trope), featuring Lesbian Pirates from Outer Space.
* SeanConneryIsAboutToShootYou: Careful with [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=162 that thing]], Susie.
* SeinfeldianConversation: [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=222 On cannibalism]].
* ShinyLookingSpaceships: {{lampshaded}}
* ShortCutsMakeLongDelays: During the space race, Marge takes a short cut and gets them 12 trillion miles off course.
* ShoutOut: The LesbianVampire [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=293 doctor's name]] is {{Literature/Carmilla}}.
** The captain's name is Janet, possibly a ShoutOut to ''WesternAnimation/SchoolHouseRock'''s Interplanet Janet.
* SlapSlapKiss: [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=140 Marge and Velma]]
* SpacePirate
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike
* TheTalk: The Captain explains to Susie how [[http://lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=173 lesbians have babies]].
* TestosteronePoisoning: The idea behind Male Man, as he fails horribly at being manly.
* ThemeNaming: All the lesbian pirates have five-letter names.
* ThiefBag
-->'''Cashier:''' How will you be paying for these shoes?
-->'''Susan:''' Sacks of money with dollar signs on them.
* TitleDrop: OnceAnEpisode, always by Susie, which makes sense because she's the one it applies to.
* TribalCarry: Susie, Velma, Marge and a {{Redshirt}} when captured by natives.
* UnfazedEveryman: Susan.
* UnsoundEffect: [[http://www.lesbianspacepirates.com/index.php?id=258 Fortunate Coincidence!]]
* VampireVords: The vampires speak in stereotypical fashion.
* WorkOffTheDebt: Betty is rescued by the "hero" Male Man, who promptly presents her with a bill for his services. As she cannot pay, Betty ends up working as his maid/slave for years until she runs away with the pirates.
* WorthIt: Lesbian sex with a god's harem was worth having to run for their lives.
* WrenchWench: Alice.
* WritersCannotDoMath: When Alice tells the Captain [[AllWomenLoveShoes all of Susie's new shoes]] won't fit on the ship, she asks her to ''change'' her calculations so it will work. Alice gives a very confused "No. It- it just... math doesn't '''work''' like that Cap'n."
* WrongGenreSavvy: Manly Man.
* YouDidntAsk: Why the Captain didn't tell Marge about the prophecy involving the Sun God. "How were we supposed to know to ask?!"
