''[[http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/ George the Dragon]]'' is an original webcomic by writer/artist Gary Lougee.

It is about a very silly dragon (named George) and all his hilarious adventures, hijinks and so forth. It began in May of 2004 but made it to the web on August 31, 2007 on Drunk Duck and stopped on October 26, 2012. Its genre is a mixture but is predominantly fantasy. It is in full color, digitally inked and colored.

George the Dragon is a weekly comic strip that centers on the funny antics of lead character George. While generally the strips are stand alone gags, there are occasional story arcs which serve to add a little more depth to both the character and the world.

The comic began with two characters. George and his antagonist an knight with no name. This is a direct parody of the [[Myth/SaintGeorge Legend of Saint George and the Dragon]], where the knight is named and the dragon not.

!!This comic contains examples of:
* AffectionateParody: Much of ''George the Dragon'' references or parodies famous historical works of fiction and art. [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/index.php?p=666514 This]] particular shot parodies the famous all american painting "Whistler's Mother".
* ArtisticLicenseBiology: Improbable Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker moment during a sword fighting scene,[[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/index.php?p=502824 "Lobster, I am your Fish"]]
* GiantFlyer: Well, George is a dragon. What did you expect?
* {{Hammerspace}} Wings: [[LampShadeHanging lampshaded]] [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/?p=690078 in this comic]]
** Do you mean [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/5232266/ this comic]]?
* HybridMonster: Well, more hybrid than monster, but what do you get when you cross a dragon with the Loch Ness monster? Among other things, [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/index.php?p=607591 Dale]], apparently and [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/index.php?p=610615 nobody's quite sure how]].
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Scaly? Check. Green? Check. Lair with [[DragonHoard gold and treasure]]? Would you believe he'll work for nachos?
* PaperThinDisguise: A standard gag in the comic. [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/index.php?p=538474 This]] is an example where the dragon 'sneaks' into a top secret meeting of the Dragon Hunters Annoymous.
* ReluctantMonster: Neither George, his wife Nessie, nor their children are malicious. George can't even eat a hamster.
* StockNessMonster: George's wife is Nessie herself
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: "Pardon me, do I smell nachos?"
* WigDressAccent: In this comic, [[http:///www.theduckwebcomics.com/George_the_Dragon/index.php?p=321300 have worked like a charm]].

* YouFightLikeACow: There are several instances of this trope. In fact, this Trope could be blamed for the creation of the comic itself!
