A romance comic from Stan Stanley (then going by the name Sandra K. Fuhr), which you can read [[http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com/ here]]..

The main plot focuses on Mikhael and Harley, along with the aptly named (to begin with) Boy Band, the fiendish Tybalt and the even more fiendish Tabitha, daughter of Satan. They have their share of adventures, especially emotional ones.

After it ended it immediately led into the spin-off series ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'', focusing on two side-characters, Collin and Fox.

Not to be confused with the 2003 book by Creator/DavidLevithan, ''Literature/BoyMeetsBoy''.
-----
!!This webcomic contains examples of:

* AbortedArc: Cy's unrequited crush on Skids; early in the comic this was basically the B-plot of the story, yet as the author grew to personally dislike the Cy character, the story would eventually be abandoned with no reveal nor pay-off (this is presumably due to the fact when the author started the comic Cy was based heavily on their then-boyfriend, but after they broke up the author grew resentful of how much the Cy character reminded them of him).
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: At one point, a ''lot'' of love is unrequited. In one panel we learn that Harley used to like Skids, who still likes Harley, but Harley is already in a relationship with Mikhael, whose ex Tybalt is still not over him, in the mean time also throwing passes at Harley, who keeps rejecting him of course, all while Cy is secretly in love with Skids, who never finds out about this and at one point explicitly said Cy "wasn't his type". Cy eventually goes out with a girl named Ronnie, who Skids sorta kinda liked at the time.
* ArtEvolution: The comic updated virtually every day, and as such the quality improved. Especially in regards to properly scanning a page and use of word bubbles.
* TheBear: Mik is a huge (albeit lean) StraightGay man with a strong build and covered in body hair, he's pretty much the exact opposite body type as his boyfriend, Harley, who is TheTwink.
%% * BetterAsFriends: Cy and Skids initially, although WordOfGod is that they didn't even end up as friends - they lost contact.
* BiggerIsBetterInBed: Harley describes Mikhael's as "big as a ruler." And then there's [[http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com/d/20010203.html this strip]].
* BittersweetEnding: A few relationships get together, a few friendships end, some people live happily ever after, and others drift apart and lose contact forever.
* BreakOutCharacter: Fox and Collin, who steal the spotlight of boy meets boy, get their own webcomic in ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'', and then make appearances in ''Webcomic/OtherPeoplesBusiness''.
%% * BreakTheCutie: Happens to poor little [[spoiler: Skids]].
* BrilliantButLazy: It's shown that Harley actually is a very competent singer and musician, however his biggest problem is that Mik pretty much completely supports him financially, and his bandmates are also his best friends so they are more likely to just hang out and mess around than actually look for gigs to play.
* TheBusCameBack: Aubrey, Harley's 'best friend' introduced very early in the comic, disappeared entirely for years. He eventually comes back again, explaining his absence had been due to gender reassignment after which he attached himself to Harley's sister Aurora until the end of the comic.
* CampGay: Harley, who although claiming to be a badass punk rocker, was still a spry little blond wearing tight feminine clothing, short-shorts, and belly shirts. He even dressed as [[Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer Buffy Summers]] for Halloween and wore [[{{Stripperiffic}} nothing but a diaper]] for New Year's.
%% * CanNotSpitItOut: Cyanide's love for Skids, as well as Skid's love for Harley.
* TheCasanova: While Tybalt often seems like a CasanovaWannabe, its shown that he only fails in picking up Harley, when his sights are set elsewhere he's usually quite successful.
* CastFullOfGay: Mik and Harley are gay. Fox, Tybalt, and Skids are bisexual (but end up dating men by the end of the comic), Cy is ''supposedly'' straight, but he has a crush on Skids and its hinted he's bisexual but in denial. Colin is "asexual with an exception" and years later in ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'' comes out as gay, and Aubrey is a transgender man. It's even been insinuated that Tabitha may be bisexual (although she leans towards liking men). That's pretty much 80% of the cast.
* CharacterFocus: Harley is very much the main character, with every other character being an extension of him in some way. Even Mikhael, who is equally as important as Harley, acts as an extension of Harley as his boyfriend, since he has almost no friends of his own in the cast (although Mik does eventually get a friend that's solely an extension of himself, and not Harley, well into the comic).
* CleaningUpRomanticLooseEnds: The end of the comic pretty much quickly wraps up the several accounts of unrequited attractions that had been left unresolved: [[spoiler:Cy gets back together with his old internet girlfriend and Skids and Tybalt become a couple after Skids realizes lusting after Harley was futile.]]
%% * DepravedBisexual: Tybalt. Emphasis on the depraved.
* EasySexChange: Aubrey somehow managed to go from zero to testosterone and top surgery in a year.[[http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com/d/20020910.html]] Though a later comic reveals that secretly Aubrey hasn't had bottom surgery yet, but refuses to tell anyone because he fears it will make him seem like less of a man.
* EmbarrassingTattoo: Mik has one as a result of a drunken night in college; he attempts to get his then-boyfriend, Tybalt's name tattooed on his hip, but in a drunken slur gives the tattoo artist the wrong name. Feeling guilty because the tattoo artists ''did'' coerce Mik into getting the tattoo while inebriated offer to fix it, replacing it with a "passable" zebra-striped ankh (that Tybalt finds hilariously odd-looking).
%% * EtTuBrute: The cause of Mik's split with ex-boyfriend Tybalt.
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Skids. As in, girls want him, gays want him, bisexuals want him, and his best friend who's otherwise heterosexual wants him.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: Harley, Skid, and Cy's band is actually ''called'' Boy Band, is soon [[SubvertedTrope subverted]] though when they hire on a female bassist.
* FanService: Sandra had quite a few blatant instances of flat out fanservice, and had a few NSFW pictures of the characters on the site before taking them down after a while. These days the fanservice in her comics are more incidental than intentional.
* FriendsRentControl: [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] when Mikhael points out that they have a huge apartment with a living room, master bedroom, plus studios for both himself and his painting and Harley and his music all for the cost of a one-room studio apartment, all because they sold themselves out to their "evil" landlord Tabitha who is the daughter of the devil.
* GoodAngelBadAngel: The comic makes ''very'' liberal use of this literary trope, Mik and Harley's good and bad angels get the most screentime, but its shown everyone has a pair (even Tabitha, although her 'good angel' has been shown to be abandoned).
* GreedyJew: Harley's mother only starts warming up to Mik once she discovers that his art career has left him very rich.
%% * GreenEyedMonster: Mik's major character flaw.
* IfItsYouItsOkay: Cy frequently boasts about being [[HaveIMentionedIAmHeterosexualToday "the hetero one"]], and has various encounters with women in the comic, he also happens to have an infatuation with Skids and skids alone. Collin claims to be asexual with Fox as his one exception, until ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'' anyways...
* ImportantHaircut: More like Important Hairstyle-Change since no hair was actually cut, but when Skids finally stops wearing his trademark cap, its because he's finally matured passed his unhealthy crush and high school nickname and is ready to move forward in his life.
* {{Jerkass}}: Jeff, Boy Band's first bassist, left the band because Harley was "one of those faggots", despite the fact the four of them had been friends since the 6th grade. He never shows up in the comic again, either, so he never even gets the chance to redeem himself.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: Harley can be a bit daft, but his [[spoiler:temporary]] split with Mik was caused by a genuine accident... and no small amount of jealousy. Look on the bright side - at least he fared better that [[Webcomic/FriendlyHostility later]] characters...
* LeavingYouToFindMyself: In the end of the comic, [[spoiler: Skids does this to essentially the entire cast. Abandoning his hat, ditching his nickname, and moving away, fully intending on never seeing any of his friends again.]]
* LighterAndFluffier: Sort of, in retrospect. Anyone who backpedals from ''Webcomic/OtherPeoplesBusiness'' to ''B.m.B'' is in for a heck of a culture shock. It's hard to believe that this was the jumping off point for the arcs in the late ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'' and ''Webcomic/OtherPeoplesBusiness''. The comic was even a lighter and softer move at the time. Harley and Mik were initially characters from a much darker series she made called ''Utopia'', which is now lost forever. She was unhappy with it, and didn't like the dark and depressing nature, and decided to make ''Webcomic/BoyMeetsBoy'' as a way of giving the characters a happier life.
%% * LookingForLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: Sort of.
%% * LoveDodecahedron: See AllLoveIsUnrequited above for more details.
* LysistrataGambit: Harley pulls one of these on Mik when the latter won't buy him a Platform/PlayStation2. It only lasts a couple hours before Mikhael cracks.
%% * ManChild: Flash. "There are inflatable women?"
* MistakenForGay: Its sometimes joked that despite Harley being TheTwink and quite obviously gay, Cy with his love of wearing make-up and nail polish is usually the one mistaken for gay within the group (ironically he's the only one who identifies as straight).
* MundaneFantastic:
** Although seemingly set in our world, Tabitha is the daughter of Satan with occasional related hijinks ensuing.
** There are also some small storylines around the end where Fox is secretly a superhero and Collin his arch nemesis/sidekick.
%% * MustNotDieAVirgin: [[http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com/d/20020826.html This conversation]]
* NoFourthWall: Right at the beginning Mik acknowledges that there's an audience watching him. Now and then various characters make references to being in a webcomic, often to others whodon't know what that character is talking about or mentioning stuff like the irregular [[UsefulNotes/{{Fonts}} font]] in certain speech bubbles.
* NonconformistDyedHair: The two distinct blue streaks in Collin's hair are an important part of his identity, as they represent something that his parents can't control about his life. As we see in ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'', every time he visits his parents' home they force him to bleach the streaks out; the minute he leaves, he re-dyes.
* NoSocialSkills: Mik is an artist millionaire, but really has no friends or family of his own, and due to his career doesn't really have any regular work colleagues. As a result, he sort of has an unhealthy attachment to his boyfriend Harley and in turn Harley's social circle for most of his interactions. This does get called out now and again, and eventually Mik does end up making a friend of his own, who is almost as awkward as he is.
* OneHeadTaller: Mikhael is one head taller than Harley.
* OutOfFocus:
** Rasheequa, Boy Band's "non-boy" bassist. It makes sense since she's not really close with her other bandmates and only wanted to join the band because their claim of not wanting a girl bassist touched her feminist button.
** Aubrey was introduced in the first few comics as 'Harley's best friend', after which he seemed to be written out of the comic in favor of Skids and Cyanide. He does eventually come back, his absence explained to be due to his transgenderism and going through gender reassignment therapy.
* PairTheSuitors: [[spoiler: Skids]] and Tybalt, who were both interested in Mikhael at different times, eventually end up together.
* ParentalAbandonment:
** Mikhael's family disowned him after they found out he was a homosexual. He's not too torn up about it by this point in his life, however, and occasionally enjoys lording over them that he's worth millions now.
** [[InvertedTrope Inverted]] with Harley and Aurora, who have effectively cut all ties with their overly-judgmental Jewish mother by the end of the comic. She isn't even aware that Harley married Mik and Aurora had a baby, making her a grandmother.
%% * PlatonicLifePartners: Aurora and Aubrey. Also, Cy and Skids until the final chapters of the comic.
%% * RelationshipUpgrade: Fox and Collin. Averted with Cy and Skids.
* RotatingArcs: Between Harley and Mik, Collin and Fox and Skids and Tybalt.
* SadisticChoice: Cyanide has a dream with one of these in which he is a secret agent and must choose between saving his GirlOfTheWeek or saving the world; Cy pretty much immediately decides to screw the world to utter destruction and save the romantic interest ... who ends up being Skids. Then the dreams ends and Cy is mortified to [[SomethingElseAlsoRises realize he has an erection]].
%% * SatanIsGood: Or at the very least, AffablyEvil.
* ShipSinking:
** Between Cy and Skids, despite it being a ShipTease for a long time in the comic. In the end, the two not only do not get together, but WordOfGod says they lose contact soon after the comic ends and are not even friends anymore.
%% ** To a lesser extent Skids and Harley, although there was very little indication anything would have ever come from it anyway.
* SpinOff: ''Webcomic/FriendlyHostility'', where Fox and Collin are the main characters, and ''that'' spun off into ''Webcomic/OtherPeoplesBusiness'', where Fox is a supporting character, and Collin is one of the antagonists.
%% * StraightGay: Mikhael is probably the best example.
* StrawFeminist: Played with in Rasheequa Jackson, who demands to be allowed to join "Boy Band" solely because their ad stated they didn't want any female applicants. Afterwards she realizes the guys really weren't misogynistic and that joining them probably wasn't the smartest idea, since they are so close knit and rather lazy.
%% * StoryArc
* SuspiciouslySpecificDenial:
** Cy says he didn't have a wet dream about Skids.
%% ** [[http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com/d/20010412.html Also seen here.]]
* TotallyRadical: Harley, Cy, and Skids all seem to frequently use the term "shibby".
* TheTwink: Harley has a rather small stature, is very lean, is hairless from the neck down, and often wear feminine clothing, his body type is basically the exact opposite of his boyfriend, Mik, who is TheBear.
%% * UnluckyChildHoodFriend: Cy to Skids, and Skids to Harley.
%% * WhamEpisode: It has some doozies.
%% * WillTheyOrWontThey: Oh boy, does it ever have this.
