Overcoming this will be the zenith of Katia's character development. JustForFun/HolyShitQuotient will be high. Mark my words.

15	It's well and good to say she must be the hero and that, but, well, the hero in Oblivion has a really boring story. Kazerad has done an exceptional job in showing us how [=NPC=]s and such can be extremely interesting characters in their own right. It would follow that Katia could be herself a very minor character. She may very well have a significant effect on events that would follow, but there's a lot more roles in a story other than The Hero.

19	Aggy: Extrapolate implies that Katia is exceptionally gifted at lateral thinking, linguistics, memorization, and is generally a straight-up genius without ever trying. So, Katia might have a ridiculous Intelligence stat, but her terrible luck and lack of willpower give her an incredibly defeatist outlook on her own life. If she manages work at a problem, she can solve it easily.

29	Considering that even Vaermina knows nothing about Katia's and Gaius's nightmare's meaning they most likely come from some entity who is higher up on the cosmological ladder. This entity (probably from one of the Divines) is trying to warn about Mannimarco plan that involves the Dragonborn emperor. It's probably Katia's destiny to stop Mannimarco's plan.

It would be a massive TearJerker... for anyone who doesn't realize [[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsIVOblivion what's going to happen]].

45	Leveling in Oblivion happens when a character sleeps, but every time Katia sleeps it's either a terrifying nightmare or a drunken stupor. She's incapable of getting a full, restful night's sleep, and that keeps her from leveling up despite improving her skills. Once she finds a way to stop the nightmares, she'll fall asleep and literally TakeALevelInBadass.

52	Hermaeus Mora has already cameo'd in a nightmare sequence along with contacting Vaermina. However, Vaermina admits this particular type of nightmare isn't her fault, and it's likely if they were going to talk about it then it's unnecessary to gambit pileup. This likely discounts him from sending it, because presumably with that much personal monitoring they'd risk slipping up.

55	Azura has been shown to send dreams before in ''Morrowind'' and is associated with both dark elves and khajiit (hence why she might have picked Katia as the second target). Vaermina initially exhausted her suspicions entirely thinking it had something to do with the province of Morrowind or Molag Bal's vampirism, so it's possible Azura has just gotten really good at hiding it and/or pinning it on Dagoth Ur instead.

And considering that sometimes those nightmares have what looks like a fusion of Uriel Septim VII and the Underking...
