2	There is no plausible way that Pam could have dreamed a full season of episodes in eight to nine hours of sleep. Also, she would have to have known that there was a mysterious woman stalking Bobby before the "dream season" began, and we saw no hint of that at the time.

4	But it is acceptable for everything seen by viewers ''since'' the end of the "dream season" to be the dream of a comatose person who has been unconscious since 1986. Perhaps someone shot J.R. and was successful.

6	This is supported by the fact that the dream revelation was ignored by the spinoff series Knots Landing.
7	* Jamie and Sue Ellen were both in explosions just before Pam woke up from her 'dream'. Maybe it's one of them. It's most likely Sue Ellen because she was a major character. The scene with her explosion showed her walking into the room and then cut to an exterior shot of the window exploding...

10	I don't buy J.R. as somebody who can be told what to do. Especially not by some figment of his imagination. But he was freaked out by his hallucination, and in the end took up violence against it by shooting the mirror instead of himself.

14	Elena has been around Southfork her entire life and she'd certainly be the right age to be the result of one of J.R.'s affairs. She clever and good at finding oil, Sue Ellen has taken a shine to her and it would make a very satisfying end to the Bobby/J.R. feud if their children (who are not biologically related to each other) end up together. Obviously neither Elena nor J.R. are aware of this at this point.

16	As for John Ross (who could be Cliff's son afterall) it would be equally satisfying to see his talk about being a ''real'' Ewing to Christopher blow up in his face.

22	J.R. has a short affair with Cally Harper, but is run off by Cally's drunken husband Jeb (from the series finale, "Condundrum"). In a rare case of his tail being tucked in between his legs, Bobby -- sensing something very wrong and that Cally (and her children) may be in grave danger -- recruits Gary, telling him they are going into the feed mill business. They travel to Haleyville, where under cover they observe Jeb and Cally (separately), noting what an awful person Jeb is and that a badly bruised Cally is barely avoiding being broken in two. Moving ahead to the clinching scene, Jeb comes home drunk from the mill and demands supper. When he slaps Cally for not having food on the table, the kids begin crying, to which Jeb demands they shut up or he'll beat them up. Cally grabs the shotgun and points it at Jeb, telling him to back off or he'll really regret it. But when the gun is empty, Jeb -- telling her he keeps the bullets in his pocket -- jumps on Cally and really beats her up and begins choking her to death... until there is three loud thuds at the door. In comes Bobby! Jeb gets up and demands to know who the hell just barged into his house. "[[YouWouldntLikeMeWhenImAngry Someone you wished you never met!]]" growls Bobby as he quickly gets the upper hand on Jeb, as he yells back to tell Gary to call 911. In the end, Cally gets the courage to file for divorce (the attorney paid for by the Ewings, forcing Jeb's hand) and Jeb sent to prison forever... where he is met by a very large cellmate.

25	Hence Bobby's intestinal cancer and J.R.'s (allegedly) weakened health.
26	* At very least, have them take over if and when the actors from the original show meet their inevitable end, and have in a good justification for their demise.

29	With the news that [[spoiler:Larry Hagman is dead]], this is about the only way to prevent the series from becoming a real snooze-fest real quick.
30	** Well they'll probably put Cliff on to regular because he's the closest to one at the moment because John Ross is blinded by his love of Elena and one thing that never pulled J.R. down that he didn't care if he hurt anyones feelings love or anything he only managed to get women because he's J.R.

33	[[WMG:Miss Ellie gives J.R. a real TheReasonYouSuck speech after she and Clayton find Sue Ellen in the drunk ward at the hospital.]]
34	Instead of the mild – and lucky for J.R. he got off real easy – rebuke he got from his mother, Miss Ellie takes off her gloves and lets J.R. know exactly how much she disapproves of his treatment of Sue Ellen, and that it drove her to a Lost Weekend-type drunken rant. She tells him that it was very lucky for her that she was found by police, barely alive and with a [=BAC=] several times the legal limit for drunk driving, and that she could have been raped or even worse, taken to who knows where. J.R. tries to justify this, of course, but this really drives Miss Ellie over the edge. In telling him in no uncertain terms that his behavior toward Sue Ellen has been unacceptable if not downright despicable, she reminds J.R. that Sue Ellen is his wife, and that while he was focused on galavanting with other women, making deals without anyone's permission (and many of them illegal) and trying to destroy Cliff Barnes, his wife was in need of a loving husband and her needs, but he neglected her (for the aforementioned) and that's a large reason why she has turned to the bottle for solace. (Not to mention his ways have also caused Gary to become a drunk). She then tells him that she was there the day J.R. married Sue Ellen, and she (and Jock and the others) heard him say the words "for better or for worse," and now this is one of those "worsts." Then she adds that Sue Ellen is a member of the Ewing family, and she has loved them and they have loved her, and even moreso, the two of them share a son (John Ross) that needs her and she wants to love him and nurture him. And now, he had better be a husband to Sue Ellen and consent to having her put in a sanitarium, to detoxify and get the professional help that she needs and only a professional (i.e., not Clayton, or Dusty or Ray or Sue Ellen [[note]](remember, this was the dream season, so Bobby – who also aided Sue Ellen in her times of need – wasn't around)[[/note]] can give her. And he had better do it or much more than just Sue Ellen's life may be on the line. J.R. has no choice but to follow through with his mother's order to get Sue Ellen help.

37	We all know there were multiple possibilities for people who wanted to take out J.R. Ewing for multiple reasons and what plot twists that could have resulted if Bobby, Cliff, Jock, Ray, Gary, a rival J.R. just wiped out, the mafia, etc. were fingered as the attempted killer.

39	While it ended up being Kristin Shepard, what if the person who pulled the trigger ''wasn't'' Kristin, or anybody even remotely obvious that wanted to see J.R. dead?

41	What if... it were revealed that J.R. seduced a young woman who was barely 18 years old and barely out of high school (i.e., about Lucy's age at the time) ...and got her pregnant? And her father found out and wasn't very happy, to say the least? And when he finds out that J.R. has had a pattern of seducing young women, he decides to teach J.R. a little lesson.[[note]](If not this, then a beatdown where he his thing is rendered useless by the end.)[[/note]]

43	If this possibility were considered, think of what this twist could have turned into... someone who was previously just a womanizer but now is teetering on being a pedophile and (certainly) engaging in sexual harassment. Today – as it was known he had sex with virtually every one of his secretaries during the course of the original series' run – he might have found himself in very deep legal trouble... if not on the wrong end of a gun multiple times, and not just the one from actual shooter Kristin Shepard.

45	** This was sort of the plot of the Barbara Eden guest appearance episodes. One of J.R.'s old girlfriends got a back-alley abortion but was rendered unable to have children because of it. She came back years later to swindle J.R. out of ownership of Ewing Oil in a long-planned payback scheme.

48	What little we learned of Jock's time in World War II was that an elderly couple on a farm hid him from German patrols. This could have been the underground members from the episode "The Flame Grows Higher". They hid Jock until Hogan was able to smuggle him out of Germany. Jock may have simply kept Hogan's part secret, either because it was highly classified or out of respect.
