[[WMG: The seasons are not individual stories.]]
Or rather, they are, but some or all of them will connect into a larger story.
* Confirmed by WordOfGod, right after it has been revealed that sister Mary Eunice from Asylum will be back in Freakshow... to take care of Pepper.

[[WMG: American Horror Story is a longform equivalent of "The Twilight Zone", set in Hell.]]
Whoever the tortured souls featured in the show originally were, they've each deserved the terrible punishment of living out their existences in a succession of twisted lives and realities - dying in one only causes you to be reborn in another, with your new life reminiscent of the last. Behold:
* In "Murder House", Jessica Lange's character [[spoiler:suffered the death of her child in a hit-and-run]]; in "Asylum", [[spoiler:she is tortured by the memory of killing a child in a hit-and-run.]]
* In "Murder House", Dylan McDermott's character [[spoiler:was a doctor]]; in "Asylum", he [[spoiler:regrets not having gone to medical school.]]
* In "Murder House", Zachary Quinto's character is [[spoiler:openly gay]]; in "Asylum", he is [[spoiler:a doctor who specialises in behaviour-modification treatment for homosexuality, among other things.]]

[[WMG: American Horror Story is one long Satanic ritual, and Season four will take place in Minnesota, probably in a mansion near Lake Superior.]]
* Season one, "Murder House", was set on the West Coast in California.
* Season two, "Asylum", was set on the East Coast in New England.
* Season three, "Coven" is set on the Gulf Coast in Louisiana in the Deep South.
* Season four, then, would complete the inverted cross pattern and be set in a Midwestern state that is north-centrally located within the contiguous US and has a coastline. Hence, Minnesota.
* At the end of season four, Satan himself will emerge in Missouri, where the lines connecting the four seasons intersect, leading to season five.
* Season four might take place in New Jersey. Slender Man, the Jersey Devil and aliens although they might be different than the ones from season two, and apparently there's supposedly a gateway to hell in that state.
** {{Jossed}} (probably): WordOfGod has it that Season 4 will either be set in Santa Fe, NM or return to New Orleans.
** Jossed again: While filmed in New Orleans, it takes place in Florida.

[[WMG: Any and all characters in AMHS are trapped in a horrible, circular hell. There is no escaping it.]]
* You might be right, each season uses 90% of the same actors for different roles. They might end up being eternally damned souls doomed to be stuck in one horrible situation (season) after another with no end or escape.

[[WMG: Constance is a renegade Time Lord, using the fob watch often and well to hide from The Doctor and various alien allies.]]
* Makes sense. Sister Jude (Time Lord Constance) used her fob watch to become someone else after she came into contact with the aliens. What reason did the aliens have to seek her our besides some type of revenge?
* Or, a non-Doctor Who example: Constance herself is Satan and while she won't be in Season 5 proper, she will appear in the very last episode, when whatever evils finally succeed and bring the devil into the world. And it will be awesome. Even cooler if it is her 'son' the Anti-Christ who brings his true mother into the world.

[[WMG: Everyone is in heaven.]]

[[WMG: Eventually there will be a sequel season.]]
Given that this show could literally run forever with it's current format, eventually there's no reason they wouldn't decide to revisit a previous group of characters. Sure, most seasons end with everyone dying, but so what? They have ghosts.
* Confirmed: Freak Show is a prequel to Asylum.

[[WMG: There will be a season based off of The Franchise/CthulhuMythos.]]
It will be called 'American horror story: The deep ones.' And it will feature Creator/BryanCranston as Herbert West.
* {{Jossed}}. Season five will be AHS: Hotel.
** Plus, Lady Gaga is going to star in it. I doubt they would add Cranston in as well.
** The series is center on certain genres of horror, not a specific work of fiction or works of an author. So {{Jossed}} for the future overall. Plus doubt that the majority of Americans are familiar with a horror series that is only well known to internet culture.

[[WMG: Season Seven will end with Stevie Nicks returning for a refrain.]]
I certainly hope it won't mark the end of the show, but you have to admit that if they wanted everyone to flip out they could show us a montage of seven seasons set to Seven Wonders. Yes, AHS fans, you've seen seven wonders! More to come!

[[WMG: They're all in Hell, BUT GodIsEvil and the only way to get out is to be EvilerThanThou.]]
The cast comes and goes, so obviously some people get out. However, if redemption got you out, [[spoiler: Jessica Lange]] wouldn't haven't returned for Coven, as she was fully redeemed, and [[spoiler: Dylan McDermott and Zachary Quinto]] would have, since they were both AxCrazy. [[spoiler: Bassett and Bates]] probably WOULD HAVE BEEN free after Coven, except [[spoiler: Papa Legba dragged them back.]]
[[WMG: Hotel will take place in the Main/WeirdWest.]]
This seems long overdue. A haunted hotel just seems too bland by this show's standards. But, a haunted hotel in the wild west? Now, that's a story! Think off all the creatures from native american folklore they could include, or badass historical figures like Wyatt Earp, or Billy the kid, or Calamity Jane. Sam Elliot could guest star as the sheriff or something. Maybe the local bar tender is a HumanoidAbomination, maybe a serial killer is scalping prostitutes, and a Apache tribe is being framed. The possibilities are endless!
* {{Jossed}}. It's a regular hotel. Is a horror series, not a Weird West comic.

[[WMG: The final season will deal with the End of the World]]
There are multiple reasons why this seems like the most fitting ending for ''American Horror Story''. For one thing, it would fit with the show's love of {{Shout Out}}s to various genres of horror and fantasy, giving the writers ample opportunity to mock and/or homage the wealth of apocalyptic fiction that Western pop culture has produced in the last century. For another thing, the creators' many hints about [[TheVerse the overarching continuity of the show's various seasons]] seem to be building up to some inevitable climax in the GrandFinale, what with Pepper, Marcy and Sister Mary Eunice showing up in multiple seasons.

Considering we've so far seen the birth of the AntiChrist, the births of multiple children in an alien breeding program, the Devil taking a human host, and the rise of [[TheArchmage an all-powerful sorceress]] with a school full of young witches at her command, it seems like there's now room for at ''least'' three different flavors of Apocalypse in the ''American Horror Story'' universe--or at least room for a high-stakes battle for the fate of the world. And really, once the creators do decide to end the show, a season about the end of human civilization would seem to be the most fitting kind of SerialEscalation imaginable, since it's pretty damn hard to top a full-blown apocalypse.

Not to mention that, with the show's characteristic alternation between modern-day stories and period pieces (with odd-numbered stories taking place in the present, and even-numbered stories in the past), it seems like a season set in the ''future'' would be the perfect way to subvert audience expectations.

So...''American Horror Story: Apocalypse'', anyone?
* Confirmed sort of. The season title is indeed Apocalypse and seems to have jump several years ahead. However it is still a familiar setting not a sci-fi future.
[[WMG: The characters do not actually look the same in-universe, but the faces we get to see are their souls]]
Essentially, they are the same souls who get reincarnated over and over, but without space-time continuity. This means they can overlap, because when they die they are reincarnated at another point in time, and they can even be damned souls for "all of eternity", because the universe will eventually die of heat-death, and whatever forces are keeping them around would disappear. Their incarnations may look similar (explaining how Pepper builds such a strong relationship with Sister Jude or The Countess seeing Tristan as "her type"), but never quite the same. This could even be true for supernatural entities.

[[WMG: One season will have a forest theme.]]
There's way too much lore and all around creepy stuff to use. Wendigos, Bigfoot, Jersey Devil and lake monsters. They could pull from the Blair Witch Project ( and tie in to coven) even Slenderman. There's plenty of scary stuff around national parks and mountainous regions. Being from the Appalachia Mtns, forests are very dangerous and scary. Take a step and you can fall through the ground into an old mine, you can get lost and never be found again. Tons of ghost stories and lots of murder when you look into the history of the region.
* Confirmed. Season 6 takes place near a forest.

[[WMG: All six seasons are dramatizations of "real" horror stories]]

It could explain how they're all connected and why the same actors keep popping up. Season six is just the first time we're seeing the reenactments.

[[WMG: All of the demonic/agelic beings belong to a single species.]]
It seems unusual that Christian angels/demons and Voodoo loa could exist in the same world as understood by their respective religions. Therefore, Shachath, Papa Legba, the Addiction Demon, the demon who possesses Sister Mary Eunice, and possibly Michael Langdon and/or Edward Mordrake are members of this race.

[[WMG: A future season will be set at sea.]]
Perhaps on an American luxury cruise liner.

[[WMG: The eighth season will be deeply rooted in the supernatural]]
As a contrast to ''Cult'', which has no explicitly supernatural elements (aside from how insanely effective the titular cult is), Season Eight will feature as many disparate elements as ''Asylum'' did.
* Confirmed, since it's the crossover season of ''Murder House'' and ''Coven''

[[WMG: There will be a season with a deep web theme.]]
There is so much potential for a deep web focused season that it would be a waste for it to not happen.

[[WMG: The tenth season will feature an element never touched on by the series before]]

[[WMG: The eleventh season will center around a war between Werewolves and Vampires.]]
Classical monsters which haven't really been touched on by AHS before, with the Fur vs. Fang Aspect being a mostly american invention. It also would finally mean something supernatural which isn't a ghost or a demonic or otherwise religion-based being of some kind.

[[WMG: There will be a season that involves an American lake monster like [[https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear_Lake_monster the Bear Lake monster]], [[https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champ_(folklore) Champ]], or [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altamaha-ha the Altamaha-ha]].]]
This would allow them to have all the fun of having a "Loch Ness monster season" without the pressure and/or stigma that may bring, all while keeping it set in the United States and focused on an American monster.
