Moreover, [[ButThouMust deciding an option that doesn't help the plot]] move along the game's desired ending is considered a NonStandardGameOver, even when the option you choose is under no condition bad, leaving the player with no real control of what's going on.

This is all in stark contrast to what visual novels usually promote (multiple routes, each of which has multiple endings), which is one of many reasons as to why the game is so hated.
