Super Cosplay War Ultra is a doujin fighting game released by "Team FK" for the PC. Since 2004, it's undergone numerous updates with new characters, game modes and stages. The current edtion is "~Infinity~" (無限大 or "GENKAI TOPPA"), released near the end of 2014. In a nutshell, think of Pocket Fighter, but with the fanservice (not that sort of fanservice) taken up to eleven.

Some time ago in a place called "FK City", a mysterious explosion happened and there was a chemical leak. Citizens got sick from it, but since everyone got better, the incident was HandWaved... that is, until a bunch of them received the supernatural ability to transform into characters and elements from various anime, manga, films and video games and began using these powers as "Super Cosplayers ([=SCs=])". But, like with any god-given powers, some of them decided to use it out of selfishness, creating the anti-government group "The BR". The military couldn't stand a chance against the super powered individuals; luckily, some [=SCs=] fought alongside the government and managed to stop The BR.

The characters (and the series they cosplay) include:

* Ryuko & Zoma (Classic Getter Robo and Shin Getter Robo, respectively)
* Kiki (Anime/OjamajoDoremi)
* Chung (Manga/Naruto, specifically pre-Shippuden)
* Amiro (Anime/MobileSuitGundam, specficially Amuro Ray and his associated mobile suits)
* Anmc P (Universal Century MechaMooks, such as the Ball and the Guncannon)
* Giant; yes, the same person from the show (Anime/MazingerZ, but also Giant's attributes)
* G Suneo (Anime/GaoGaiGar; her name`s derived from Suneo)
* Yo (Franchise/ResidentEvil)
* Sin (American Horror Movies (like Franchise/FridayThe13th) and VideoGame/Onimusha)
* Lizard & Kay (Evangelions and the seventeen Angels, respectively)
* Dido (VideoGame/VirtualOn)
* Sakuya (VideoGame/SakuraWars)
* Alex (Series/KyoryuSentaiZyuranger/Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers)

* Hiso & Erus (Manga/HunterXHunter (Genei Ryoudan and the protagonists, respectively))
* OS Feng (Anime/ShamanKing)
* Sean (Manga/HoshinEngi)
* Gon (Franchise/Digimon)
* Kate (Franchise/DotHack)

* Rear (Anime/GearFighterDendoh)
* Rario (Ryu in Mario's clothes)
* TTRO (Anime/MyNeighborTotoro)
* Super Astro Man Z (Anime/AstroBoy himself, except a lot more buff)
* Gigi (Franchise/KamenRider Shocker Mooks)
* SWW (Manga/SaintSeiya)
* Ogi & Ziro (OZ mobile suits and the Endless Waltz Gundams, respectively, with Yun and Yang from VideoGame/StreetFighterIII joining Ziro's posse.)
* Masa (Char Aznable; comes with his own Leitmotif, voice clips and clones:)
** 3-Times, a PaletteSwap of Zaku with Masa's voice samples.
** Zaku
** Golf
* Asura (Anime/Mazinger Z's Baron Ashura)
* Pac-Helo (Take a wild guess)
* Aya (Franchise/FinalFantasy)
* Yunan/Yinyan (Literature/FullMetalPanic)
* Z-Mega (Rugal Bernstein in his 2002 incarnation. Includes VideoGame/CapcomVsSNK2MarkOfTheMillennium voice samples)
** (A hidden form that's a callback to in Capcom Vs. SNK 2)
* Zenka (VideoGame/SuperRobotWars, specifically Sanger Zonvolt and every SuperRobot he pilots)
* Alpha (VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha, specifically TheFourGods from the "[=RyuuOuKi Denki=]" manga)
* 'Evil Manga/Doraemon' (The character himself turned into a muscular, sinister SNKBoss with the voice of Creator/NorioWakamoto)

The team behind this game would later go on to make VideoGame/ChaosCode. Unsurprisingly, that game contains a few references to this one.

---------
!!The game contains the following tropes:
* AffectionateParody - Specifically of VideoGame/SuperRobotWars: first, the logo is styled after [=SRW=]; second, the bosses are entirely based on [=SRW=]'s OriginalGeneration characters; third, well, wouldn't you expect LOADS of mecha-based franchises, covered in [=SRW=] previously, to be covered here?
* AndShowItToYou: Technically she's standing behind the character when she does it, but one of Erus' supers does involve tearing out her opponent's heart and crushing it with her bare hands. For about a 6th of their life meter.
* ArtificialStupidity: CPU characters will frequently try to use their supers even if they don't have the gauge full enough, which just causes them to flinch instead.
* AscendedExtra: Genkai Toppa makes Ziro and Ogi playable from the very start.
** Non-character example: in order to participate in a special "Extra Battle", have the timer run out during the mode selected. In Genkai Toppa, there's a separate mode for this one: "Another Battle Royale" ...with added boss sequences.
* AssistCharacter: Ziro's moveset is made almost entirely of assist characters.
* AssShove: Super Astro Man Z's MAX involves him grabbing his opponent and Squick shoving their head up his ass.
* AuthorAppeal: Would you expect Suneo and Giant, who are huge Manga/Doraemon fans and who inserted baddassified versions of Suneo and SNKBoss Doraemon into their previous project not to leave a mark in SCWU? Well, you wouldn't. So that's why Giant's here.
* AuthorAvatar: AMNC P, G. Suneo "G", in this case, stands for "girl", since this character's designer is male), SWW, Sean, Giant, OS Feng... well, let's just say "plenty" and leave it here.
* BackFromTheDead: Alpha rips off Gil's Resurrection move, healing to full health after being KO'ed as long as he has at least one level on his super meter. Like Gil's Resurrection move, he can be hit in the middle of it so he only heals partially, but unlike Gil's Resurrection move he actually pushes the player away from him to make it harder to hit him.
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: Ziro tries to blow himself up when he loses.
* BFS: Zenka, complete with PreAssKickingOneLiner. Don't let that "dagger" fool you.
** Alpha's Hazanken EX Super might count.
* ButtMonkey: Alpha. Yes, he's an SNKBoss, but the problem is when Masa appears and turns the lights off a-la Akuma...
** When you play as an unlocked Alpha, or you're fighting Alpha as the FinalBoss, Masa gets his ass kicked, though.
** The Quatre cosplayer in Ziro's posse, who's only purpose is to serve as a meat shield.
* CastOfSnowflakes: Every character is drawn in a different style, though all share a SuperDeformed look. Judging by the credits, this is because the sprites were all created by different people.
* ChainmailBikini: Rear and Zenga's MechaMusume outfits have large, bulky armor pieces on the upper body and shins...with nothing to protect the area in between except a pair of battle panties.
* CharClone: Yes, even this is parodied: apart from Masa, who cosplays Char, we have 3-Times, Zaku and Golf.
** Golf actually represents Ramba Ral and his MS-07B Gouf, while Zaku is just a standard Zaku from the original Gundam.
** Masa's even a superpowered version of the Zaku enemies.
* ClothesMakeTheSuperman
* ClumsyCopyrightCensorship: Some of the actually existing characters (which is, not cosplays) will have their eyes covered by a black rectangle. Most obvious examples are Super Astro Man Z during his Astro Boy state (intro and win pose), as well as Giant's ending, which has every Manga/Doraemon character but Giant himself clipped out.
* ColonyDrop: Amiro's EX Super, which involves her dropping the Axis asteroid, but Homage performed like Hulk's Gamma Crush Hyper Combo.
* TheComputerIsACheatingBastard: Will occur a lot, even with non-boss characters.
* CustomUniformOfSexy: A lot of cosplay outfits are revealing, even baring the midriffs (especially the MechaMusume ones, like Rear and Zenga's,) but Erus, Amiro, Giant, Kay and OS Feng do this as part of their standard outfits (though in Giant's case, it's more about him being too fat for his shirt.)
* Kawaii But Cacophonic: Just ask where to begin and you'll get lost in possible options. Fortunately, around 20% of the girls in this game that avoid this trope.
* DreadfulMusician: Giant, a throwback to the same-named character from Manga/Doraemon. It's even part of his moveset.
* EvilCounterpart: Quite a few series represented have hero/villain duos, like Erus and Hiso for Manga/HunterXHunter, Ziro and Ogi for Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing and Lizard and Kay for Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion (though ending cutscenes suggest that they aren't necessarily rivals.)
** Though their portraits aren't side-by-side like the aforementioned duos are, one could consider Amuro cosplayer Amiro and CharClone Masa to be this, too.
* Expy: Considering the cosplay theme, everyone, to one or another degree, is this. Sometimes, it goes far enough to even use the original character's voice samples.
* TheFourGods: Alpha's moveset utilizes the appearance of the [=RyuKoOh=] and [=KoRyuOh=] from VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha, but also adds in the less-than-known [=BuJakuOh=] and [=JakuBuOh=] from the "[=RyuOhKi Denki=]" manga.
* Gonk: Giant, and a few of the background cosplayers (Zoro, Jotaro and Dio and Yuna come to mind.)
* GratuitousEnglish: PRESENT BY NEO TEAM F.K.
** ARMYS
** The Cafe Dory/Diss stage is entirely this, as a result of being derived from another doujin game "Second Heat". Prepare to see quotes like "Bady Piercin Studio" and "Meteor Man Talking Dirty" a lot.
* HumanShield: Ziro blocks with one of his henchman.
* IKnowMaddenKombat: Weaponized cosplay! Also, a bowling and pie-throwing Z-Mega.
* InstantCostumeChange: Big time, discounting the ones who cosplay exclusively one character.
* MassiveMultiplayerCrossover : Which franchise would you like to beat up: Manga/Naruto? Anime/MyNeighborTotoro? Franchise/Gundam? VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters? Franchise/SuperMarioBros?! Or do you hate Magical Girls and in general, or the opposite? Well, be glad, because the roster comes up with every possible solution for you.
** Also played straight in real time during the Battle Royale modes, where a maximum of eight characters fight on one stage simultaneously (something rarely seen outside of Guilty Gear Isuka and Infinity Cat).
* Massive Multiplayer Dressover
** In some instances, it may also count as a MascotFighter.
* MechaMooks: Pac-Helos, which are electrified robot versions of VideoGame/PacMan.
* Mecha Musume: Being at least partially a parody of VideoGame/SuperRobotWars, there's noticeably more HumongousMecha series being represented than others.
* MonochromaticEyes: [=ANMC P=] has creepy solid-red eyes to go along with his psychotic SlasherSmile.
* MultiMookMelee: Battle Royale mode
* NintendoHard: So you beat the story mode, including Zenka and Alpha? *Insert SlowClap* Now go beat the Another Battle Royale, if you can.
* NoEnding: In many cases, specifically if you beat Another Battle Royale or the regular game with the mook characters.
* NoFairCheating: Want to play one of the boss characters in 1P mode? Have fun in Another Battle Royale mode, which is the only mode you can play with them. Oh, and Another Battle Royale mode makes you fight 2-4 non-mook characters at once and up to 6 characters per match (until you're fighting 4 mid-bosses and two of the SNKBoss final bosses,) while usually giving you the weakest of the mooks for a partner.
* TheNudifier: One of Zenka's MAX supers
** At least for the guys. The girls, Battle Royale characters, and Gigi are just bisected. Ogi, meanwhile, also gets his metal bits ripped off to expose the muscle underneath.
* OverlyLongFightingAnimation : Practically every EX Super. In particular, G-Suneo's Goldion Hammer has a bad habit of keeping the victim in their "hit" pose throughout the whole attack, which can be quite jarring in Battle Royale mode.
** One of Kay's supers involves her transforming into Kaworu Nagisa and glomps her opponent. The gigantic EVA Unit-01's hand reprises the final scene of episode 24 by . Hammerspace Even if a human hand with a remote control comes out from nowhere to fast-forward the scene, it's quite annoying if the CPU repeats said super twice in a row.
* PerfectPlayAI: Shin-Z. There are only two weaknesses in his AI: Frequently trying to use supers when he doesn't have enough EX bars for it (which is an AI weakness for most characters, anyway,) and occasionally trying to Shun Goku Satsu a character who's been knocked down.
* PlayableMenu: As you start a single-player game, you have to choose one of the sub-modes. How? By kicking the other cosplayers.
* PunBasedTitle: Super Robot Wars -> Super Cosplay Wars. It even mocks the logo for the heck of it.
** And don't you say it ends just here: just for a quick throw, what's the name of the girl who cosplays Amuro Ray's mobile suits? Or, how does Sanger Zonvolt's name sound in Japanese? Right: "Zenga"; replace one letter and you'll get his (arguably) OppositeSexClone.
* ReferenceOverdosed: Now with its own page.
* TheRevolutionWillNotBeCivilized
* SequelHook: Does Shin-Ryuko serve as a hint?
** It does say "See you next SCWU" in the post-credits cutscene, complete with Shin-Ryuko's silhouette.
* ShotoClone: Rario, which makes sense seeing as he's a fusion of Mario and Ryu.
** Amiro also counts, except being a modified one: her mallet projectile, as well as the non-super laser beam are fired out not instantly, but with a delay, and definitely not via the usual "quarterpad+punch" pattern. The Shoryuken-like attack, however, keeps the tradition.
** Asura has HurricaneKick and Shoryuken-type specials that he'll abuse like there's no tomorrow.
* SNKBoss: Zenka, Alpha and Shin-Z (not his regular form Z-Mega). Masa, in the same fashion, despite him not being one of the final bosses.
* SpiritualSuccessor: To Fighters Kyodotai by the same team which also features over-the-top cast and settings, as well as lots of references to anime and videogaming culture. Moreso to its' unfinished sequel, Fighters Kyodotai Flash.
* SuperMovePortraitAttack: Every single MAX move.
** Though there are a few exceptions, like Rear, Gigi, Ziro and the Battle Royale characters.
* ToiletHumor: Super Astro Man Z and his laser blasters (a LOT bigger than Anime/AstroBoys), which he literally pulls out of his asshole may qualify as an attempt at this.
* TroubledFetalPosition: Ziro assumes this pose in his down animation, complete with thumb-sucking and even a "MAMAAAAA!" if it happened after a failed self-destruct attempt.
* WholesomeCrossdresser: A few characters have a crossplay outfit somewhere in their moveset. Notable examples include Erus, who only has one female character in her entire moveset and Chung, the Naruto cosplayer, who actually goes all out and does a Sexy No Jutsu attack for one of his attacks.
* Ziro Secret Service: To the extent that just about EVERYTHING he does is actually done by his henchmen.
** He even uses one of his henchmen as a meat shield when he blocks.
