And third, it only fires in a straight line like a Sniper Rifle, which makes it great for hitting huge targets like bosses and leviathans, but very impractical for dealing with large, spread out crowds or individual mooks--and while it does have an auto lock on function, this makes it even harder to use against a crowd of enemies, since it can lock onto the wrong target by accident.
