''Disney Universe'' is a video game from Disney Interactive that was released on the Platform/{{PS3}}, Platform/Xbox360[[note]]with backwards compatibility for the Platform/XboxOne and Platform/XboxSeriesXAndS[[/note]], Platform/MicrosoftWindows, and Platform/{{Wii}} in 2011. Players take on the role of beta-testers for a new Creator/{{Disney}} game while being guided by a cube named VIC. However, an evil entity named HEX is determined to destroy this game, so the players have to traverse the worlds and battle swarms of enemies in order to defeat HEX and save the day.

!!This game provides examples of:
%%* AIIsACrapshoot: HEX made the game like this.
%%* AdvancingWallOfDoom: Cave of Wonders 3.
* AllThereInTheManual: The names of the individual stages for each level are only mentioned in the concept art gallery.
* AmbiguousEnding: Even if you get everything in the game, HEX is never really defeated. The only real "closure" you get is HEX saying that he would be back.
%%* AutoScrollingLevel: Door Factory 3.
%%* BigBad: HEX.
* ButtMonkey: When you're not attacking them, the Fodder seem to only exist as sporting equipment for Brutes.
%%* CompetitiveBalance: Among the mini-bosses.
* CutsceneIncompetence: The Brutes and Fodder are exceptionally goofy and stupid during the intro scenes.
%%* TheCracker: HEX.
* DeathIsCheap: All that happens when you die is you losing some gold. While dying too many times does hurt your level grade, the game is very generous about how many times you can die before dropping a rank, so it doesn't matter too much.
* DemonicPossession: While he's not a demon, HEX can take over VIC and speak through him, which causes VIC to turn dark red and sharper-looking.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: Several of the stages have names that are very to-the-point, with titles such as "Laser Corridor" and "Toxic Gas". Granted, it's not like you'll find out what the names are without [[AllThereInTheManual looking in the concept art gallery]].
* FakeLongevity: You have to replay each location twice to unlock all of the costumes.
* FragileSpeedster: Bulldogs are fast, but can't take much of a pounding.
* GlassCannon: Spawners are very powerful, but can't take the number of hits as others.
* GameBreakingBug: There are a few spots where your water vehicle can get stuck on something and stop moving entirely, forcing you to restart the level.
%%* GiantMook: Mini-bosses, especially Brutes.
* {{Griefer}}: HEX fits this to a T, being a {{Troll}} who enjoys creating chaos for his own amusement. He also likes to offer "helpful" advice to the player on how to be one (like throwing your teammates off of cliffs and stealing their gold).
* GuideDangIt: The game has a tendency to not tell you how to use the vehicles. There are other cases where, once you've unlocked the exit gate, the game puts a secret challenge back at the beginning of the stage but doesn't let you know about it.
* HardLevelsEasyBosses: Most of the mini-bosses (Brutes, Rotos, Bulldogs, and Spawners) are harder than the end-of-area bosses, and you have to fight at least a few of them in most levels.
* InfinityPlusOneSword: The Tool Mod power-up lets you kill anything in one hit.
* InsurmountableWaistHeightFence: A few edges are marked off by low rocks or thinly spread trees.
%%* InvisibleWall: In a few places.
* KarmaHoudini: HEX [[TheUnfought never gets battled physically]] and manages to escape to see another day.
%%* KillItWithIce: The Snowman power-up
* LoadingScreen: Inn between each section of a level, there are loading screens where VIC offers helpful advice, and HEX offers... [[{{Griefer}} not-so-helpful]] advice.
* LightningBruiser: Brutes, which are fast, strong, and can take a beating.
* MightyGlacier: Rotos are incredibly powerful, but they're also the slowest of the bunch.
* MookMaker: Spawners can throw Fodder at you.
%%* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: HEX
* NeverSayDie: Somewhat justified, since the game takes place in a VR realm.
* OneHundredPercentCompletion: You have to earn gold trophies in all stages and fully upgrade all 45 costumes.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: As a zombie you can survive underwater, but can't jump.
* RedShirtArmy: {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d - the generic enemies are literally named "Fodder".
* SceneryPorn: The pans across the stage at the beginning of each area.
* SequelHook: The ending dialogue from HEX before the "It's a Small World" remix heavily implies that there was more planned for the game.
* ShoutOut: At least one trailer showed a player attacking a chest using a key like a [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Keyblade]].
* TemptingFate: VIC states in the game's intro that the bots are completely harmless and would never harm the guests. Cue the bots attacking the guests.
* TrickShotPuzzle: Often times, a target is too far away for you to simply walk to with a bomb, so you have to throw from a distance.
* TwoKeyedLock: Several in multiplayer, but in single it gives you a few seconds to get to the other switch.
* SuspiciousVideogameGenerosity: Power-up cubes generally appear near mini-bosses.
* TakenForGranite: The effect of the Medusa power-up.
* TennisBoss: Spawners are stunned by bouncing fireballs back at them.
* {{Troll}}: HEX. How else can you describe someone who decides to torment you as a parting shot by [[CoolAndUnusualPunishment singing a rock version of It's A Small World After All at you?]]
* UndergroundMonkey: There are only six types enemies, but they change costumes to match the world.
* UpdatedRerelease: The game got a re-release with the subtitle of ''Ultimate Edition'', though the only difference is that the re-release has all the DLC packs available from the start.
* VillainSong: HEX sings a rock remix of "Its a Small World" to torture VIC and the player.
