''Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure'' is a 1994 PlatformGame made by Creator/InterplayEntertainment for the Platform/SegaGenesis in 1994 and the Platform/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem in 1995, with a strong focus on ToiletHumor.

Snotty Ragsdale is an EccentricMillionaire who takes a janitorial job at Professor Stinkbaum's lab to investigate a machine that vows to get rid of all of the world's pollution to another dimension. During this time, he accidentally sneezes into the machine and a hand grabs the power source, causing Snotty to go into the other dimension and retrieve it. He became a playable character in ''[[VideoGame/ClayFighter ClayFighter 63⅓]]'' for the Platform/Nintendo64, where he's TheRival to VideoGame/EarthwormJim.

A [[http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/boogerman20th/boogerman-20th-anniversary-the-video-game?ref=live Kickstarter]] to make an HD reboot of the game was attempted, but it failed. In 2020, the game comes part of one of the titles of the "[[CompilationRerelease Interplay Collection]]" for the new handheld console Platform/{{Evercade}}.

!!The game contains examples of:
* OneUp: Sometimes found within the levels, but more often than not, getting one of these requires you to collect 30 or more plungers and pop about 10 or more pimples when you reach the end of the level.
* AbsurdlySpaciousSewer: The toilets in the levels lead you to these types of bonus areas.
* AllLoveIsUnrequited: Revolta has a crush on Boogerman. One of her attacks has her send out a face that tries to kiss you.
* AlmightyJanitor: Boogerman's civilian day job.
%%* AnotherDimension: Dimension X-Crement.
* AwesomeButImpractical: The chili pepper upgrade lets you exploit Boogerman's fiery flatulence to zip around like he's using a jet pack, but it eats up your stored gassiness so quickly that you'll only ever want to use it to easily skip the occasional tough vertical platforming segment.
%%* BaldOfEvil: Booger Meister.
%%* BigBad: Booger Meister.
* BookEnds: The game ends as it began, with Boogerman flushing himself down a toilet. The difference this time is that it shoots you up to the first floor of the game rather than down.
%%* BossBanter: During their fights.
* BreathWeapon: Chilies allow Boogerman to belch flames.
%%* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: The bosses uniforms.
* ChargedAttack: Burps and farts can be made into projectiles if you give them a little time. This can be upgraded further with chilies, [[KillItWithFire giving them extra damage as the gas ignites.]]
%%* DescriptiveVille: Boogerville, the third world.
* DownTheDrain: [[ExaggeratedTrope Exaggerated,]] the whole game is set here. Exaggerated in special stages as they flush you down even further.
* EvilCounterpart: Booger Meister to Boogerman, right down to the farts, burps, and being rich.
%%* EvilLaugh: Booger Meister and Revolta.
* {{Fartillery}}: Both Boogerman and the Booger Meister can use their own farts as weapons.
** FartsOnFire: After eating a red pepper.
** Revolta can burp up storm clouds that [[ShockAndAwe generate lightning.]]
** And of course this continues with Boogerman's ''VideoGame/ClayFighter'' appearance, where even his farts are used as [[Franchise/MortalKombat Claytalities]].
* FunWithFlushing: Boogerman will flush himself down toilets to enter a sewer loaded with powerups and enemies. It's also how the BigBad is defeated, er, defecated in this manner as our hygienically-challenged hero burps him into the toilet; flushing him away for good.
* {{Gasshole}}: Both Boogerman and the Booger Meister are this. Boogerman can find a Chili Power-Up which utilizes his farts as a jetpack.
* GoshDarnItToHeck: In a GrossOutShow of a game packed with ToiletHumor, what's the one line they won't cross? Calling a fart a fart. It's a "frrt."
* GrossOutShow: More like a "Gross-Out Video Game," where the boogers and farts are the real protagonists.
* GuestFighter: In ''[[VideoGame/ClayFighter ClayFighter 63⅓]]'', the only appearance outside this game, also using his "arsenal" to beat up the other Clayfighters.
* IdleAnimation: The most prominent one Boogerman has is picking his nose, eating it, and then [[NoFourthWall grinning at the player embarrassedly as he realizes they were watching]].
%%* ImMelting: What happens when you die.
* ImprobableWeaponUser:
** Hickboy fights by throwing his chicken at you like a Boomerang and firing eggs from it.
** The protagonist himself, really. Flicking booger projectiles and setting your belches on fire isn't exactly standard practice in a platformer.
* LanternJawOfJustice: Taken up to [[ExaggeratedTrope quite possibly twelve.]] His chin is so long and thick that it hangs past his chest. [[DerangedAnimation It's put to good use for his mouth with some of his reaction-takes, however.]]
* LightningCanDoAnything: According to the manual, Revolta was transported to Dimension X-Crement after being struck by lightning.
* LovePotion: The manual says Revolta was working on one for Boogerman before she was transported to Dimension X-Crement.
* MeaningfulName: Revolta's real name is Eugena "Ug" Lee.
%%* {{Mooks}}: The Goblins.
* MundaneMadeAwesome: Provided you find the rare chili and with sufficient energy, it's possible to turn your fumes into a functional jetpack. [[MsT3KMantra Just, roll with it, alright?]]
* NonIdleRich: Despite rolling in dough, Snotty Ragsdale spends his time as a janitor at a research lab.
* PreAssKickingOneLiner: All the bosses give one except for Hickboy, who just laughs.
* RedIsHeroic: Boogerman wears a red cape.
* [[NintendoHard Sega Hard]]: Not at first for the first 1.5 stages, but the game starts to grind as the already long and full of mooks acts just [[SerialEscalation increases both factors]] in each level's second half. And did we mention the powerups were stingy to start with?
** The bosses are pretty fiendish as well, as their attacks come fast and can be rather hard to dodge. This coupled with the fact you only have one hit before you become a [[OneHitPointWonder one-hit kill]]. Trying to input the power-up restore code while in the heat of battle won't help, since you'll most likely be taken out before you can finish it.
* ShoutOut:
** Beat Booger Meister and he'll say in a deep voice "[[Film/TheTerminator I'll be back]]".
** Defeat Flyboy and he'll utter a high-pitched "[[Film/TheFly1958 Help me!]]".
* ToiletHumor: The whole point of this game. There are even water closets to flush Boogerman down!
* ToiletTeleportation: The [[GrossoutShow extremely gross]] superhero travels extensively by toilet, including in the opening cutscene. In-game, toilets provide access to secret levels.
* TopHeavyGuy: Although padded with a bit of extra chunk, Boogerman's got quite the HeroicBuild....from the torso up...
* VolumetricMouth: The line between mouth and chin gets a bit blurry with some of his reactions, which is saying something considering just how MUCH chin he has.
