Very well...

I been around TVTropes for a while now, [[TvTropesWillRuinYourLife a long while.]] But I didn't make myself known until Mid-August 2009. [[SugarWiki/TVTropesWillEnhanceYourLife This is a great wiki!]]

I'm mostly a big fan of VideoGames, {{Anime}}, and WesternAnimation, along with the many VoiceActors, American, Japanese, and others, that go with them. I also like certain {{Film}}s, LiveActionTV, ComicBooks, and WebComics.

Speaking of VideoGames, I run a Website/{{YouTube}} channel containing all sorts of different playthroughs of games I've enjoyed in my life, including the games for pages I've contributed to, below. I even created a few of my own songs inspired by different video game tracks I've enjoy, and they're all themed after the soundfont of the UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis, my very first video game console.

[[PleaseSubscribeToOurChannel Check out my channel]] [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgbx3VGTsGSrroBIGvcDhaQ here]], [[PleaseSubscribeToOurChannel subscribe to me there if you like it]], and check below for a LongList of what I have in it.

On June 1st, 2016, I realized that I haven't updated this page since November 2011. I finally decided to give this page a huge cleanup into what is it now.

Follow me on my [[https://twitter.com/Carls493 Twitter page]], too! But be warned, as I tend to share a bigger variety of things and thoughts, there.

!!My Favorite Contributions:
* ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'': Added and edited tropes.
** ''VideoGame/SonicGenerations'': Added and edited tropes.
*** [[{{WMG/Sonic Generations}} WMG/Sonic Generations]]: Added one guess and multiple responses, throughout.
*** [[{{YMMV/SonicGenerations}} YMMV/Sonic Generations]]: Edited tropes.
* ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh'': Adding and editing tropes, and just polishing the main page in general.
** [[{{YMMV/AzumangaDaioh}} YMMV/Azumanga Daioh]]: Created and moved associated appropriate tropes to.
** [[{{Trivia/AzumangaDaioh}} Trivia/AzumangaDaioh]]: Created this page, too.
** [[{{Characters/AzumangaDaioh}} Characters/AzumangaDaioh]]: Adding tropes and polishing entries.
* [[{{Characters/MusashiSamuraiLegend}} Characters/Musashi Samurai Legend]]: I didn't create this, but I'm the biggest contributor to a lot of editing and adding. I'm also helping with some images to show off how Creator/TetsuyaNomura's current [[{{Anime}} designs]] in ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' spreads to other works. He did not disappoint me with these characters.
* [[{{Characters/Kirby}} Characters/Kirby]]: I picked up on what I've done with the above CharacterSheet and added some character images for this one, too. Right now it was just for Meta Knight and King Dedede, but others have been added since.
* NinjaPirateZombieRobot: Added more examples.
* Creator/{{Nintendo}}: Added tropes to which the page originally lacked entirely. In fact, as far as I know, I'm probably the one responsible for starting the idea of having tropes to describe VideoGameCompanies to begin with, including a page I made for one entirely out of scratch. See below under "Tropes and Works I Have Launched".
* Creator/{{Sega}}: See Nintendo.
* Creator/{{Capcom}}: See Sega.
* Creator/{{Konami}}: See Capcom.
* Creator/SquareEnix: [[RunningGag See Konami]].
* [[TwoPointFiveD 2½D]]: Added and edited examples.
* SugarWiki/MostTriumphantExample: Several additions throughout the different sections.
* MotionBlur: Contributed to getting it properly advertised and added the first few examples.
* ''Anime/PantyAndStockingWithGarterbelt'': Added and edited tropes. It was once one of the Administrivia/LockedPages due to the controversy it stirred up, but not anymore now that the hype died down and also possibly due to its namespace change.
* ''WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants'': Added and edited tropes.
** [[{{YMMV/SpongeBob SquarePants}} YMMV/SpongeBob Square Pants]]: Created and moved its associated tropes to.
* ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'': Added and edited tropes.
** [[{{Characters/SuperSmashBros}} Characters/Super Smash Bros]]: Edited tropes.
** [[{{YMMV/SuperSmashBros}} YMMV/Super Smash Bros]]: Edited tropes.
* ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3'': Added and edited tropes.
** [[{{Characters/MarvelVsCapcom3}} Characters/Marvel Vs. Capcom 3]]: Added and edited tropes.
* DreamworksFace: Contributed to the trope image when it was just launched, which was fixed and revised by someone else, later on.
* ''VideoGame/IceClimber'': Added tropes and elaborations to a couple of them.
* [[{{Haiku/Bayonetta}} Haiku/Bayonetta]]: Added the PrecisionFStrike-laden haiku. Seriously, just don't.
* ''VideoGame/MegaManLegends'': Indirectly, because since ''[[OrphanedSeries Legends 3]]'' is now [[DevelopmentHell cancelled]], I made sure the word gets around on this, including but not limited to the DarthWiki/RuinedFOREVER and DarthWiki/FallenCreator pages. Creator/{{Capcom}} was going through its own [[InternetBackdraft hell]], [[InternetCounterattack back then]], but now it seems to have lapsed.
* [[{{Laconic/SegaGenesis}} Laconic/Sega Genesis]]: Made the page.
* ''VideoGame/{{Phalanx}}'': Added more info on the its CoversAlwaysLie entry, which I can interpret as my own LampshadeHanging on the game's Japanese boxart design and how part of it [[FreudWasRight links]] to its name. That line is gone now, however, probably for feeling shoehorned in.
* ''VideoGame/SpinJam'': Contributed quite a lot to this page.
* ''VideoGame/TeamBuddies'': Same as ''VideoGame/SpinJam'', but even more so than that game.
* ''VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}}'': Added and edited some tropes.
* ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'': Added and edited some tropes, probably a bit more than the above for a while.
* ''VideoGame/SonicExe'': Contributed to added info relating to its Sonic 1 GameMod ''[[BlatantLies An Ordinary Sonic ROM Hack]]''.
* WebVideo/MarioTehPlumber: Contributed a lot to this page regarding Mariotehplumber's constant shaming of pretty much anything [[NostalgiaFilter modern]] or [[AllAnimeIsNaughtyTentacles female]].
* ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse'': I contributed to different parts of this show's existence on Website/ThisVeryWiki, such as pampering up some of its [[Characters/TheLoudHouse Character pages]] and [[Recap/TheLoudHouse Episode Recaps]], as well as adding some crucial information on its [[YMMV/TheLoudHouse YMMV page]]. However, I have noticed for myself that I tend to highlight some of the [[ToiletHumor grosser]] and [[GettingCrapPastTheRadar borderline-lewder things that this show managed to get away with...]]
* ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage'': Launched the first few links and descriptions of ''Streets of Rage 4''[='=]s soundtrack on its [[AwesomeMusic/StreetsOfRage Awesome Music page]] (namely one song per Japanese composer plus main composer Music/OlivierDeriviere). Please go check them out, and anything else that gets added there!
* ''WesternAnimation/InfinityTrain'': Contributed to multiple pages on this show, such as its main, [[Trivia/InfinityTrain Trivia]], [[Characters/InfinityTrain Characters]], and [[NightmareFuel/InfinityTrain Nightmare Fuel]] pages.

!!Tropes and Works I Have Launched: [[labelnote:*]]What you see below might surprise you![[/labelnote]]
* OxygenatedUnderwaterBubbles: A trope that definitely should be able to exist, based on proof of its presence in different VideoGames, especially the ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' games. I also created its [[Laconic/OxygenatedUnderwaterBubbles Laconic page.]]
* ThatsNotVeryNice: A scrapped trope for being one of the many StockPhrases.
* ''VideoGame/KirbysReturnToDreamLand'': Responsible for creating the page as Kirby Wii and renaming its title for Website/ThisVeryWiki after it was revealed as ''Kirby Returns to Dream Land'', then got a bit help in the third and most recent change by which it's actually "Kirby's Return to Dream Land''.
** [[YMMV/KirbysReturnToDreamLand The above game's YMMV page.]]
** [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=Main.KirbyReturnsToDreamland The original Discussion Page before the slight rename made it obsolete.]]
* [[{{DrinkingGame/Mother3}} Drinking Game/Mother 3]]: Started the page all from scratch. Quite cleverly, really. [[ShmuckBait Go on, have some fun!]]
* SinglePluralTitle: Scrapped, as it can already be used as a OneWordTitle.
* ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehogMegamix'': Created nearly all of its info for both its main page and its YMMV, out of respect of it being my favorite ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' GameMod of all time.
* Creator/FoxEye: [[HeAlsoDid Long story short]], I take major responsibility of being the head contributor of all info and content related to this developer on Website/ThisVeryWiki, with the intention of making a solid mini-database for what I consider my favorite set of the most obscure and niche games I've ever enjoyed and thus, my ''biggest'' video game GuiltyPleasures of all time. However, this is honestly a slow work-in-progress, as I have yet to play and beat all of the games, and even if I could attempt to do so, [[NoExportForYou not all of them were even released in English]], which makes this plan even harder for me to do unless there are other Tropers here that miraculously know about these games, as well. Nonetheless, I created this developer's main page, [[YMMV/FoxEye YMMV page]], and [[Trivia/FoxEye Trivia page]] all from scratch. I've also made, or had a hefty contribution to, some of its games' own pages:
** ''VideoGame/{{Holdover}}'': This game's page was made before I even knew what Fox Eye was. It was my discovery of this page from its entry in OxygenMeter that eventually led me to create almost everything else regarding Fox Eye's material, here. Upon encountering ''Holdover''[='=]s page and subsequently the game itself, I gave it a ''massive'', much-needed update on things that weren't already covered by its inception. I also added its page image and [[{{Expy}} a fun little caption]] based on my amusement of what its cute protagonist's possible inspiration behind her looks to go with it. I later on created its [[YMMV/{{Holdover}} YMMV page]] and [[YMMV/{{Holdover}} Heartwarming page]], as well as contributing a lot to its [[NightmareFuel/{{Holdover}} Nightmare Fuel page]], and I've even managed something for a [[Funny/{{Holdover}} Funny page]].
** ''VideoGame/AquaCube'': Completely made this one from scratch, as well as its page image and [[YMMV/AquaCube YMMV page]].
** ''VideoGame/SacrificeGirl'': Just like with ''Holdover'', I didn't make this page, first. Someone else did, and it was likely due to my initial call for help that I thought I needed working on the above game's pages. I have subsequently made all of its other sub-pages, including [[YMMV/SacrificeGirl YMMV]], [[Trivia/SacrificeGirl Trivia]], [[Awesome/SacrificeGirl Awesome Moments]], and [[NightmareFuel/SacrificeGirl Nightmare Fuel]].
** ''VideoGame/HadesVanquish'': Same as ''Aqua Cube'', including a [[YMMV/HadesVanquish YMMV page]] and a [[Heartwarming/HadesVanquish Heartwarming page]]. I also made the page image and caption.
** ''VideoGame/BlueGuardianMargaret'': Similar to ''Hades Vanquish'', including its [[YMMV/BlueGuardianMargaret YMMV page]] but also a [[NightmareFuel/BlueGuardianMargaret Nightmare Fuel page]]. Its main page is probably the biggest work page I've made from scratch, so far. As of this writing, its [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/relatedsearch.php?term=VideoGame/BlueGuardianMargaret Related Pages]] section has actually managed to have '''OVER NINETEEN THOUSAND''' people learning about this game just from its main page on here ''alone''. No other Fox Eye-related page ''combined'' has gotten even close to that many hits. ''[[OhCrap "...WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY ALL COMING?!"]]''. Holy shit! For an extremely niche {{Metroidvania}}, this is amazing to me, because it just shows how much attention I brought to the game.
** ''VideoGame/NaticaAndSandyUnderwaterRescue'' and its [[YMMV/NaticaAndSandyUnderwaterRescue YMMV page]]: The game was only a [[TemporaryOnlineContent temporary download]], but it came back through a CompilationRerelease. I got into it enough that I decided to make a page for it along with a page image, too, long before the game was even out in English!
** ''VideoGame/KarinsSkinDivingDiary'': I made this and its [[YMMV/KarinsSkinDivingDiary YMMV page]] and [[Trivia/KarinsSkinDivingDiary Trivia page]] completely from scratch, as well, almost right after the English version was released. I really am on a roll with this circle, pretty much.
** ''VideoGame/NaticaStarSplash'': Created this page, its [[YMMV/NaticaStarSplash YMMV page]], its [[Trivia/NaticaStarSplash Trivia page]] and its [[NightmareFuel/NaticaStarSplash Nightmare Fuel page]].
** ''VideoGame/AtNightInAPartyTheWhisperOfTheSea'': I made this page, as well as its [[YMMV/AtNightInAPartyTheWhisperOfTheSea YMMV]] and [[Trivia/AtNightInAPartyTheWhisperOfTheSea Trivia]] pages.\
\
With all of the hard work I contributed to the pages of this DoujinSoft developer and some of its games, I consider all of my work on Fox Eye-related content on TV Tropes to possibly be my MagnumOpus of all of the contributions I made to both creator pages and work pages on Website/ThisVeryWiki. I again emphasize that this developer as a whole represents my biggest GuiltyPleasures as a gamer, and [[SignatureStyle after you]] [[AuthorAppeal find out why]], you're probably gonna wanna ask me some things, because damn, even I'm still surprised about how much I put into ''these'' games' pages, of all things. They contrast so critically hard from my bigger favorites and just about everything in my following list, below, and I'm still a bit struck and nerved in the mind on how I got to learn of them to begin with...
* ''VideoGame/SamuraiJackBattleThroughTime'': Kickstarted a true new page for the game (as well as its [[YMMV/SamuraiJackBattleThroughTime YMMV]] and [[Trivia/SamuraiJackBattleThroughTime Trivia]] pages) after the main page was initially cut due to a stubby lack of info at the time.
* ''VideoGame/DigimonAdventurePSP'': Started this page, its [[Trivia/DigimonAdventurePSP Trivia]] page, and its [[Awesome/DigimonAdventurePSP Awesome]] page. Motivated entirely by me noticing how this game never actually got a page of its own.

!!Tropes that describe my Website/{{YouTube}} Channel:[[labelnote:*]]I had a bit ''too'' much fun writing these![[/labelnote]]
* AcclaimedFlop: Not to completely brag, but despite my massive amount of videos and subscribers and general praise for my [=YouTube=] Channel's content, a lot of commentors and even myself have noticed that this doesn't always translate well into the individual views I get for each video, with some fans even claiming that my channel is ''severely'' underrated. Part of me can believe this, because even with over 60 thousand subscribers, a majority of my modern videos will stuggle to get higher than 3-digit views, sometimes even 2-digit views. This doesn't apply to all of them, however, such as anytime I focus on ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' or what I covered in ColbertBump below, though my style of presentation may be to blame (see ShowDontTell below).
* AddedAlliterativeAppeal: So far, all 4 of the Creator/FoxEye games I've featured star girls whose names start with an "M": [[VideoGame/{{Holdover}} Marie]], [[VideoGame/SacrificeGirl Miyo]], [[VideoGame/HadesVanquish Mana]], and [[VideoGame/BlueGuardianMargaret Margaret]].
* ApprovalOfGod:
** Upon the start of my playthrough of the GameMod ''[[VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles Sonic 3:]] [[RemixedLevel D. A. Garden Edition]]'', I got acknowledged and blessed by the creator of the hack, D. A. Garden, himself.
* AprilFools: Believe it or not, this is my birthday.
** In 2012, using ''VideoGame/MusashiSamuraiLegend'', [[spoiler: I passed off a bonus alternative of that game's opening (which features a different narration at the beginning and Musashi ''[[{{Blooper}} failing]]'' [[{{Blooper}} to catch Mycella from hitting the ground]] at the end) as a secret video that can only be watched by beating the game. In reality, just wait at the title screen until it appears.]]
** In 2023, I announced my playthrough of ''VideoGame/PizzaTower'', but [[spoiler: I initially started it off with a video showing all of the bizarre screen reactions you get from [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential (in my case deliberately)]] [[WhatTheHellPlayer beating the crap out of Peppino too much during a level]]]].
* ArchivePanic: My channel as a whole is this, with currently '''''OVER 12,000 VIDEOS UPLOADED''''' across '''''OVER 100 VIDEO GAMES!!!''''' Just check my above list of featured games, and good luck watching absolutely ''everything'' in one sitting.
** Individually, my playlist of matches from ''[[VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]'' has a grand total of 1,236 videos across the game's entire 4-year lifespan. This was the most I've had for any single playlist... until I ''[[SerialEscalation exceeded]]'' this with my playlist of ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'' matches in ''less than half'' of that time. By April 2023, I have achieved '''over 2,000 uploads''' of ''Ultimate'' matches!
** For non-''Smash'' content, my ''VideoGame/DragonBallFighterZ'' has over ''600'' videos of online matches, with coverage going all the way back to the pre-release beta test. This is followed by my playlist of ''[[VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}} Skullgirls: 2nd Encore]]'', which has over ''370'' videos of online matches.
* ArtEvolution: The quality of my capture card recorded videos got better once I switched from Dazzle to Elgato, expanding what games I could create videos of in clean HD quality. I can now potentially take this even further with the Elgato 4K Capture Utility software.
* BookEnds: Prior to the inclusion [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Sora]] in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'', I ended up finishing my Classic Mode playlist of the game in almost the exact same way I started it: By using a character named Mario. In other words, regular Mario at the start, and Dr. Mario at the end.
* BossRush: I like participating in these when they appear in a ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' game, usually with a SelfImposedChallenge to get more out of them.
* ChristmasEpisode: For Christmas 2021, I used GameMod tools for ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure''[='=]s UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} port to show off its Christmas DLC content, just two days after I started my publishing my playthrough of the game [[MilestoneCelebration on its original Japanese 23rd Anniversary]].
* ColbertBump: I occasinally encounter a boost in views and comments from outside forces. Other times, I try to {{invoke|d}} this to hype up certain events:
** Once upon a time, I uploaded a rather mediocre and incomplete playthrough of the original ''VideoGame/DonkeyKong''. This initial playthrough of its Japanese arcade build lacked 50m, and I didn't bother to keep playing the game after beating it just once for this video, where 50m would've been playable. I uploaded the playthrough anyway just to show off the game to people who wanted to know where Mario and Donkey Kong came from, and that was a done deal. Then ''Film/{{Pixels}}'' happened... Several years later, that playthrough has become ''my #1 top-viewed video of all time'', with over 11.7 million views as of this writing (including the most comments, likes, ''and'' dislikes of any video I've ever made). Only a tiny handful of videos following right behind it have only ever managed over 1 to 2 million at most. Even a second, more complete playthrough of the game I attempted years later [[ToughActToFollow has quite a long time to reach those same numbers in popularity]].
** My Mushroom Hill Zone videos of ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles'' got swarmed with comments from viewers of ''Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020'', following [[spoiler:Dr. Robotnik being stranded on the Mushroom Planet at the end of that movie.]]
** My playthroughs of ''VideoGame/MarvelSuperHeroes'' kept getting more popular as more of the ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse'' films got released. They likely reached a ninth following films such as ''Film/AvengersInfinityWar'' and ''Film/AvengersEndgame'' seeing as both of those movies star ComicBook/{{Thanos}} as the front-and-center BigBad, just like ''Marvel Super Heroes'' itself does.
** I {{invoked}} this with Mike Haggar's playable appearance in ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3'' by playing through the original [[UsefulNotes/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem SNES]] version of ''VideoGame/FinalFight'' as [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking the Mayor of Metro City, himself]] ([[VideoGame/StreetFighterV before Cody took over for him, that is]]).
** When ''VideoGame/MegaMan11'' was close to being released, I attemped to {{invoke|d}} this trope by finally starting playthroughs of ''VideoGame/MegaMan9'' and ''VideoGame/MegaMan10'' to support ''11'' before playing that game, too.
** Having only previously played the original ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage'' at the time, I played through both the second and the third game to {{invoke|d}} this trope to hype up the announcement of the fourth game, and then eventually playthrough that, as well.
** I played through all 5 of the original ''VideoGame/SuperBomberman'' games in order to {{invoke|d}} this trope to celebrate the ''VideoGame/{{Bomberman}}'' franchise's comeback with ''Super Bomberman R'' before playing through that game, too.
** The top reason I added ''[[VideoGame/KiKiKaiKai Pocky & Rocky]]'' to my roster was to {{invoke|d}} this for the release of ''Pocky & Rocky Reshrined''.
** My playthrough of ''[[VideoGame/Metroid1 Metroid]] [[GameMod mOTHER+99]]'' was not only to honor Halloween 2021, but also to countdown to the long-awaited release of ''VideoGame/MetroidDread''. I finished the uploads of the former game on the day of the latter game's release. I have then decided to just plan a playthrough of ''Dread'', itself, after beating it in a day's worth of time.
** The announcement of ''VideoGame/Bayonetta3'' has motivated me to play both ''VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}}'' and ''VideoGame/Bayonetta2'' to promote the threequel. I eventually concluded this with the end of my playthrough of the second game on the third game's release date of October 28th, 2022.
** This also worked on me ''in reverse''. I've been pondering on making ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' playthroughs for a long time. The final push for me to start working on this was Sora's appearance as a GuestFighter in ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate''.
** I was planning to record playthroughs of both ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1'' and ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2'' for a while (see TakeAThirdOption below), but an added push towards making this a reality was the announcement of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3''.
** I've pushed my Tails and Knuckles gameplay in both ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure'', and ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehogMegamix'' to attempt to promote their appearances in ''Film/SonicTheHedgehog22022''.
* CriticalResearchFailure: One of my ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'' playlists has montages of almost each and every characters' selectable voice lines in almost every selectable voice language. For Portuguese, I had accidentally used the flag of Portugal instead of the flag of Brazil, as that country's specific Brazillian-Portuguese was the Portuguese used in the game. I had thankfully corrected this by the time I had reached the Brazillian hero Lúcio, but I have yet to fix this for previous videos and would be one of the first things on my mind to do if I ever "rebooted" this playlist (or at least wait until ''Overwatch 2'' to do so).
* DoingItForTheArt: Although my Website/YouTube Channel is presently monetized, I make it more about my content rather than myself, and every single game that I've put into it is out of my own passsion for them rather than trying to follow trends, which is why it features a variety of classic, modern, and niche games. I don't like selling out to featuring games I'm not even interested in, though this may be at the cost of gaining a good flow of views and revenue with my uploads (though that does give me an alternate idea to think about now...)
* DoujinSoft: All Creator/FoxEye games I've featured are this, and as such are the most obscure games I've ever featured on the channel, which is a major reason why I've neatly featured them all together on the front of my channel. All of my video content relating to this circle's games are also the only videos ''in my entire library'' that I purposely leave un-monetized, per their creator's wishes. I then instead use my playthroughs of these games to attract more fans to the circle. ''VideoGame/{{Holdover}}'', in particular, has the distinction of being the first game of this sort that I've featured on my channel, as well as the very first [[Sandbox/WindowsGames PC-exclusive]] game to be featured (not including multiplatform titles or ports, such as ''VideoGame/SenranKagura: Shinovi Versus'' or ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'').
* DubText: My ''VideoGame/{{Holdover}}'' playthrough has customized text unique to only my playthrough of the game. Anyone can do this if they want, but my playthrough was mainly about adding additional text to what was already there, such as expanding the opening and ending text of the game, adding details to its in-game tips and guidelines, and giving Marie more dialogue.
* EasterEgg: I occasionally like to use my video editing skills to mess around and edit my videos to put these in:
** ''VideoGame/DragonBallFighterZ'': [[spoiler:Nearly if not all of my videos are tagged with a recreation of the names and phrases spoken from the OnceAnEpisode copyright disclaimer for ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged'' (including a mention of Creator/AkiraToriyama and "Please support the official release"). Because tags are no longer shown with the videos, you would only know this by dissecting and examining each video’s data.]]
** ''VideoGame/{{Holdover}}'': [[spoiler:''VideoGame/SonicMania''[='=]s buzzing noise after Studiopolis' Act 2 boss (based on the technical difficulties incident that occurred for that series' 25th Anniversary Party livestream) is used in one of my videos of the former game that contains Tanner’s final message to his daughter Marie before abruptly cutting off. I used this to both add some more weight to that moment of that game, and as {{Foreshadowing}} that I would start a ''Sonic Mania'' playthrough soon after finishing my playthrough of ''Holdover''.]]
** ''VideoGame/{{Splatoon}}'' / ''VideoGame/Splatoon2'' / ''VideoGame/Splatoon3'': [[spoiler:If a Ranked Match goes into Overtime, I titularly emphasize that further by using [[WesternAnimation/SpongeBobSquarePants SpongeBob's]] RageBreakingPoint in "[[Recap/SpongeBobSquarePantsS3E9KrabBorgRockAByeBivalve Rock-a-Bye-Bivalve]]". Although ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'' also has Overtime for tie-breaking, I didn't repeat it there since I felt it didn't match that game's spirit the same way it matched with ''Splatoon''[='=]s.]]
* FanNickname:
** The heroes of ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage'' don't have an official team name, so I like to call them the "''[[DubNameChange Bare Knuckle]]'' Brawlers" in my playthroughs of the series.
** The ''very'' ColourCodedForYourConvenience nature of all of the main girls the titular ''VideoGame/MusashiSamuraiLegend'' has to rescue (from [[PrincessesPreferPink Princess Mycella]] to [[ColorCodedElements all of the Elemental Maidens]]) inspired me to call them his "Rainbow [[SupportingHarem Harem]]".
** As of ''[[VideoGame/JakIIRenegade Jak II]]'', I sometimes call Jak & Daxter the "Dark Eco Duo", since by that point, they both have had their own [[SuperpoweredEvilSide respective]] [[BalefulPolymorph experiences]] with [[PsychoSerum Dark Eco]]. This has continued into my playthrough of ''VideoGame/Jak3''.
* {{Fanservice}}: I have unashamedly swung ''both'' ways of this trope.
** Sexual: ''VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}}'', ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'', and anything from Creator/FoxEye are my topmost examples of this trope on my channel in various ways (though in the case of ''Skullgirls'', [[JustForFun/ComeForTheXStayForTheY this effect can wear off depending on what else you may like about that game]]), and all of them are featured on the front of my channel partially because of this. Fox Eye's ''VideoGame/BlueGuardianMargaret'', in particular, is probably ''the'' most-lewdest game on my channel due to being a thread's width away from being an HGame (in [[BestialityIsDepraved certain ways]] [[AvertedTrope or]] [[NippleAndDimed others]] that not even a ''Senran Kagura'' game would have). I must take care not to ''break'' that thread, hmmm...?! I would eventually direct my attention towards featuring what is probably the first Japanese game in history to be recognized for this form of appeal in ''VideoGame/{{Athena}}'', and then I later on tackled on a more modernized and more popular example of this with ''VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}}''.
** Non-Sexual: I consider any big {{Crossover}}s I've featured as this, such as ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom'', ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'', and ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'', or games that have ''extreme'' proof of ShownTheirWork to their source material, such as ''VideoGame/DragonBallFighterZ''. The latter two of these are featured on the front of my channel.
* FanTranslation:
** How I played through ''VideoGame/Mother3'' in English ([[NoExportForYou of course!]]). I also utilized this for the UsefulNotes/NintendoEntertainmentSystem version of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIII'', ''VideoGame/SuperBomberman 4'', ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaIIIDraculasCurse'', and ''VideoGame/{{Pulseman}}'', though the latter is just for its text dialogue; the voice acting is already in [[SugarWiki/SurprisinglyGoodForeignLanguage Surprisingly Good English]]!
** I also utilized what I call Fan Retranslation, playing through more Japanese-faithful versions of ''VideoGame/DynamiteHeaddy'' and ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage 3'' (called ''Bare Knuckle III'' [[MarketBasedTitle in Japan]]) in English, thus removing any cases of {{Bowdlerise}} or DubNameChange they may have had, though I still played the American version of ''Streets of Rage 3'' alongside its Japanese counterpart for the sake of making comparisons between the two.
** My playthrough of ''VideoGame/PhantasyStarI'' is of two fan translations stacked on each other. The first one by SMS Power!, and a second addemdum patch by [=FlamePurge=].
* GameMod: I like to show these off from time-to-time, as well, primarly ones made from hacking UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' games. I've also taken interest in mods for ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure'' and ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure2''.
* HalloweenEpisode: Not counting how I've used ''VideoGame/{{Splatoon}}'' and ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}'' events to celebrate this occasion, some of my videos were purposely-timed in respect to this holiday. Sometimes, if I want to spread this throughout October, it will usually involve some material from the Franchise/{{Castlevania}} franchise, which also has a closeby [[MilestoneCelebration anniversary date]] to October in September 26th (which is also coincidentally the day I first created my Website/YouTube account to begin with):
** Near the end of October 2012, I started uploading a playthrough of ''VideoGame/MonsterParty''. I uploaded my last video of it on Halloween Day.
** On Halloween 2015, I randomly uploaded a couple videos of the very first ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog1'', despite me already having played through that game (but before I made a true full second playthrough to honor the debut trailer of ''VideoGame/SonicMania''). [[spoiler:These separate videos were actually of the ''VideoGame/SonicExe''-based ''[[BlatantLies An Ordinary Sonic 1 ROM Hack]]''.]]
** On Halloween 2016, I uploaded a playthrough of [[AttractiveZombie Squigly's]] fully-voiced Story Mode from ''VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}}''.
** Halloween 2018 was a double focus; a comeback of ''VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}}'' from 2016, alongside a focus on ''VideoGame/SenranKagura: Shinovi Versus''. For the latter, I uploaded a video of Mirai's Shinobi Girl's Heart story that ended with her and Murakumo dressing up as their favorite [[Franchise/StarWars Sengoku Super Wars]] characters. For the former, I uploaded a video of me beating [[SNKBoss Marie]] [[HarderThanHard 300%]], [[spoiler:though I admit that I cheesed this by just running her health down while stalling my own for a Time Out]].
** October 2019 is when I started prioritizing playthroughs of the ''Franchise/{{Castlevania}}'' franchise to show during Halloween season, starting with a playthrough of ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaDraculaX'', as well as including ''VideoGame/DecapAttack'', and ''[[VideoGame/{{Vectorman}} Vectorman 2]]'' into this throughout October for a ''triple'' focus. I managed to finish all of them up before the end of that year's Halloween.
** In October 2020, I revived my focus on ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaBloodlines'' by playing as both John and Eric in [[HarderThanHard Expert Mode]], having previously played the game years ago on Normal Mode. For brand new content, I also played through a fully-decked out FanTranslation (or Re-translation, in this case) of ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaIIIDraculasCurse''. I finished all three of these ''Castlevania'' playthroughs before the end of Halloween.
** All throughout October 2021, I started a project that would involve playthroughs of ''five games'': Both versions of ''VideoGame/SonicSpinball'' together, ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaTheAdventure'' followed by ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaIIBelmontsRevenge'', and the ''mOTHER+99'' hybrid GameMod of the original ''VideoGame/Metroid1''. I made all of these playthrough to honor Halloween of that year, though the ''Metroid'' playthrough was also made to honor and countdown to the release of ''VideoGame/MetroidDread''.
** For October 2022, I took ''Castlevania''-pandering to even higher levels, as I posted playthroughs of ''four'' games from that franchise, ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaLegends'', ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaIISimonsQuest'', ''VideoGame/Castlevania64'', and ''VideoGame/CastlevaniaSymphonyOfTheNight'', thoughout the entirety of the month. I finished them all right before the end of Halloween 2022.
** For October 2023, I went through my most complex approach to this occasion, yet. I featured a ''Castlevania'' game (''[[VideoGame/CastlevaniaCircleOfTheMoon Circle of the Moon]]''), a ''Castlevania'' [[VideoGameRemake remake]] (''[[VideoGame/CastlevaniaTheAdventureReBirth The Adventure ReBirth]]''), a ''Castlevania'' SpiritualSuccessor (''VideoGame/BloodstainedCurseOfTheMoon''), a ''Castlevania'' [[FollowTheLeader clone]] (''VideoGame/{{Rusty}}''), and a ''Castlevania'' [[DuelingWorks counterpart]] (''VideoGame/GhostsNGoblins'') all the way before the end of Halloween 2023.
* ItWillNeverCatchOn:
** It took me ''serious'' balls for me to include more {{Fanservice}}-laden content on my channel, as I wanted to challenge myself on what kind of lewd content I'd be willing to feature. While this wasn't an issue for me when including a couple of ''VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}}'' playlists ([[JustForFun/ComeForTheXStayForTheY since I was mostly in it for the gameplay, anyway]]), my content relating to ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'' and ''especially'' Creator/FoxEye were truer testaments for myself in this regard, as I was prepared to face harsh criticism and SnarkBait for including such fetishy material on my channel (and one of the reasons I finally started a ''VideoGame/SonicMania'' playthrough not too long afterwards was to have it help curb the idea that I was going to rework my channel into taking a full-fledged HotterAndSexier route). Mercifully, all of it has been well-received for the most part, with me even gaining followers ''just for'' this content.
*** in particular, as of this writing, my playlists for ''Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus'' and ''VideoGame/BlueGuardianMargaret'', that I consider the Top 2 lewdest games on my channel, so far, have both reached ''over 30,000 views'', which is close to the range of some of my more notable ''Sonic'' and ''Crash'' playlists. As of June 10th, 2023, Part 4 of my ''Margaret'' playthrough alone ''[[SexSells has amasssed over 500,000 views]], the highest views of any of my Creator/FoxEye content by a huge margin'' (more than all of my other videos of that developer's games '''''combined''''') '''''and brings it within the Top 20 of my entire channel's most-popular videos''''' (out of over ''11 thousand videos''). [[JustForFun/HolyShitQuotient I am utterly astonished by this...]]
** I wasn't expecting my playthrough of ''VideoGame/MusashiSamuraiLegend'' to be ''much'' more popular (100,000+ playlist views) than my playthrough of ''VideoGame/BraveFencerMusashi'' (10,000+ playlist views). I was actually thinking the opposite would happen. See TakeAThirdOption below for more details.
* JustForPun:
** Several of the descriptions of my ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage 2'' videos reference the titles of the game's music that can be heard in each video. [[StealthPun Some of them are more blatant than others.]] This gets repeated in my ''Streets of Rage 4'' playthrough.
** Most of my ''VideoGame/MetroidDread'' videos that focus on me defeating one of TheDreaded E.M.M.I. robots has a title that contains a pun based on each weapon they give Samus after they're defeated.
* LicensedGame: [[TheProblemWithLicensedGames I'm not afraid]] to feature characters and games on my channel that originally hailed from different mediums. I've featured such material from anime series such as ''Franchise/DragonBall'' and ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'', and characters owned by Creator/{{Marvel}}, Creator/{{Disney}}, and Creator/WarnerBros.
* MascotWithAttitude: ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' is my very first and top favorite video game franchise, with a very strong presence and influence on my channel's direction (as of this writing, I have created 30+ playlists of ''Sonic'' content), and a prominently featured franchise on the front of my channel. It also seems to be among the most popular video game franchises I've featured on my channel with how often it has attracted dedicated fans. I also prominently feature ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot'' and ''Franchise/SpyroTheDragon'', and even gave Creator/{{Konami}}'s ''Sonic''-[[FollowTheLeader inspired]] ''VideoGame/RocketKnightAdventures'' some good attention through its UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis and UsefulNotes/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem titles.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate: Some of my content has been published just for the sake of paying dues to specific or important dates regarding the games associated with them:
** A more personal one: I initiated my playthrough of ''VideoGame/{{Holdover}}'' on May 15, 2018, which is extremely close to three years after I first encountered info on this game on Website/ThisVeryWiki via its OxygenMeter page, which commenced my discovery, support, and GuiltyPleasures towards Creator/FoxEye as a whole.
** After a nearly one year-long delay, I ended up uploading my playthrough of the original ''VideoGame/SonicMania'' on June 23, 2018, [[MilestoneCelebration the 27th anniversary of]] ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' (which I decided to very carefully time to follow up my abovementioned ''Holdover'' playthrough with).
** The FinalBoss of my playthrough of ''VideoGame/Splatoon2: [[DownloadableContent Octo Expansion]]'' was posted as Part '''88''' on '''Octo'''ber '''18'''th, 20'''18'''. '''8''' is the ArcNumber of that entire campaign, and '''Octo'''ber was originally the '''8th''' month of the year instead of August.
** I ran through a playthrough of ''VideoGame/KirbySqueakSquad'' during 2020, because that was the [[EasternZodiac Year of the Rat]]. Two years later into 2022, I went through the game's Boss Endurance using the [[EleventhHourSuperpower Triple Star ability]] to finish my playlist of the game on March 25, 2022, which was also the release date of ''VideoGame/KirbyAndTheForgottenLand''.
** I completed the main part of my playthrough of ''VideoGame/PacManWorld'' on May 22, 2020, [[MilestoneCelebration the 40th anniversary of the original]] ''VideoGame/PacMan''. [[LongRunner He's been around for a very long time, and is currently the oldest video game franchise I have ever covered on YouTube.]]
*** I had repeated this three years later at the very end of May 22, 2023, [[MilestoneCelebration the 43th anniversary of the original]] ''VideoGame/PacMan'', by finishing my playthrough of ''[[VideoGameRemake Pac-Man World Re-PAC]]''.
** I completed my first playthrough of ''VideoGame/Shinobi2002'' on December 5, 2020, [[MilestoneCelebration apparently 18 years after the game's Japanese release date]] (the American release date was suprisingly earlier, at November 10, 2002).
** On March 29th 2021, I finished my entire playlist of the original ''VideoGame/FatalFuryKingOfFighters'' by publishing a video of Joe Higashi defeating Geese Howard. March 29th is also the date of Joe's birthday.
** I carefully finished my playthrough of the ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles: The Challenges'' GameMod on June 23rd, 2021, [[MilestoneCelebration the 30th Anniversary of the]] ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog franchise]]. As an extra measure, I also chose the date to commence my playthrough of ''VideoGame/SonicTripleTrouble''.
** I chose August 2nd, 2021 to be the date where I started uploading my Survival Mode runs of ''VideoGame/StreetsOfRage 4'' Mr. X Nightmare DLC, as that is the date of [[MilestoneCelebration that franchise's own 30th Anniversary]].
** I started publishing my playthrough of the very first ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsI'' game on November 22th, 2021, a day within the week that's home to a few Creator/{{Disney}}-related [[MilestoneCelebration milestones]] for movies whose content would appear in the ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' franchise, such as ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory1'' (26th), ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory2'' (22nd), ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'' (29th) and ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'' (30th). This publish was also 4 days after the 93rd Anniversary of ''WesternAnimation/SteamboatWillie''.
*** Later on, I went through an entire sequence of publishing videos focused on [[DiscOneFinalDungeon Hollow Bastion]] in a row on March 28, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 20th Anniversary of the]] ''[[MilestoneCelebration Kingdom Hearts]]'' [[MilestoneCelebration franchise, itself.]]
** I started my playthrough of ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure'' on December 23rd, 2021, [[MilestoneCelebration the 23rd Anniversary of the game's original Japanese release and overall]].
** I finished my playthrough of ''[[VideoGame/GoldenAxe Golden Axe II]]'' just a few hours before [[MilestoneCelebration its own 30th Anniversary of December 26th, 2021]].
** I started my playthroughs of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1'' (''[[VideoGameRemake Definitive Edition]]'') and ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2'' on April 6th, 2022. I chose this day to acknowledge and honor [[MilestoneCelebration the 10th Anniversary of the first game's original North American release on the]] UsefulNotes/{{Wii}}, and as such the most important date of Operation Rainfall's influence on making this release possible at all.
*** I then ended the main campaigns of both games on December 1st, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the worldwide 5th Anniversary of the second game]].
** I started my playthrough of ''VideoGame/TheWorldEndsWithYou:'' ''[[UpdatedRerelease Final Remix]]'' on April 22nd, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 14th US Anniversary of the original]] UsefulNotes/NintendoDS [[MilestoneCelebration version's release]], and also one day after [[TheHero Neku's]] birthday of April 21st (and also two days after [[VideoGame/NeoTheWorldEndsWithYou Fret's]] birthday of April 20th).
*** I published the boss fight against [[MadMathematician Sho Minamimoto]] on July 27th, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 15th Anniversary of the entire]] ''[[FunWithAcronyms TWEWY]]'' [[MilestoneCelebration franchise]] and the 1st Anniversary of ''[[VideoGame/NeoTheWorldEndsWithYou NEO: TWEWY]]''.
** I started my playthrough of ''VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand2'' on May 26th, 2022, exactly one month after [[MilestoneCelebration the 30th Anniversary of not only]] [[VideoGame/KirbysDreamLand its prequel]], [[MilestoneCelebration but the entire]] [[Franchise/{{Kirby}} Kirby franchise]] [[MilestoneCelebration overall]].
** I completed my playthrough of ''VideoGame/SuperMario64'' on June 23rd, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 26th Anniversary of the game's original release]].
** Right after the above, I celebrated the ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' [[MilestoneCelebration 31st Anniversary of the same date]] by publishing three additional ''Sonic'' playthroughs to my channel: ''VideoGame/SonicAdventure2'', ''[[VideoGame/SonicAdvanceTrilogy Sonic Advance]]'', and ''[[GameMod Sonic Classic Heroes]]''.
** I finished my main playthrough of ''VideoGame/Bayonetta2'' on October 28th, 2022, the release date of ''VideoGame/Bayonetta3''.
** I finally featured ''Franchise/RatchetAndClank'' on my channel starting with its [[VideoGame/RatchetAndClank very first game]], on November 4th, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 20th Anniversary of that franchise]].
** I continued my coverage of ''VideoGame/JakAndDaxter'' by starting a playthrough of ''VideoGame/Jak3'' on November 9th, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the game's 18th Anniversary]].
** I started playthroughs of the [[VideoGame/AladdinVirginGames Sega Genesis version]] and [[VideoGame/AladdinCapcom Super Nintendo version]] of {{Creator/Disney}}'s ''WesternAnimation/{{Aladdin}}'' on November 11th, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 29th Anniversary of the Genesis game's release, and the 30th Anniversary of the film, itself]].
** I debuted my playthrough of ''VideoGame/TailsSkypatrol'' in November 2022 on the 21st and finished it on the 24th, which was when I also later on debuted my playthrough of ''VideoGame/TailsAdventure'' as a follow up. These two dates are [[MilestoneCelebration the 30th Anniversary of]] ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog2''[='=]s [[MilestoneCelebration respective Japanese and worldwide releases, and ultimately the]] ([[OlderThanTheyThink fully]] [[VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog28Bit realized]]) [[MilestoneCelebration 30th Anniversary of Tails' debut as an]] IconicSequelCharacter [[MilestoneCelebration in the]] ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' [[MilestoneCelebration franchise]].
** I started publishing playthroughs of ''VideoGame/MegaManDrWilysRevenge'' and ''VideoGame/MegaManTheWilyWars'', as well as a second, complete playthrough of ''VideoGame/MegaManX2'' on December 17th, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 35th Anniversary of the]] ''VideoGame/MegaManClassic'' series and of the ''Franchise/MegaMan'' franchise overall. The date was also [[MilestoneCelebration the 29th Anniversary of the]] ''VideoGame/MegaManX'' SequelSeries, and specifically one day after the 28th Anniversary of ''X2''[='=]s release.
*** I eventually wrapped up my ''Wily Wars'' playthrough on May 23rd, 2023 to honor that date's release of the game's FanSequel[=/=]FanRemake, ''Mega Man: The Sequel Wars''.
** I made a grand debut of the ''VideoGame/PhantasyStar'' franchise on my channel by publishing a playthrough of a double-patched 2022 English [[FanTranslation Fan Re-Translation]] of [[VideoGame/PhantasyStarI the original game]] on December 20th, 2022, [[MilestoneCelebration the 35th Anniversary of]] ''[[MilestoneCelebration that]]'' [[MilestoneCelebration franchise]], making it younger than ''Mega Man'' and ''Final Fantasy'' by only two and three days, respectively. [[InMemoriam I also wanted to do this to pay tribute to one of the game's lead designers, the late Rieko Kodama]]. I finished this playthrough on March 8th, 2023, which is International Women's Day, for further respects to Kodama, Alis, and the sizable amount of other women at Creator/{{Sega}} that worked on this game.
** I premired my playthrough of ''VideoGame/{{Celeste}}'' on January 25th, 2023, [[MilestoneCelebration the game's grand 5th Anniversary]]. I've seen that said anniversary included, among other things, brand new physical and premium releases of the game, and a super-packed community GameMod called ''Strawberry Jam'' that I wish to make something of in the future.
** I premired together the inaugural games of both the ''VideoGame/KunioKun'' and ''VideoGame/DoubleDragon'' franchises on April 22nd 2023 to celebrate [[MilestoneCelebration the latter's 36th Anniversary]] and [[SpiritualSuccessor its tight relationship with the former]].
** On April 25th, 2023, I premiered by playthroughs of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles1''[='=]s ''Future Connected'' and ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2''[='=]s ''[[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2TornaTheGoldenCountry Torna ~ The Golden Country]]'' to celebrate the release of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3''[='=]s own extra story: ''[[VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3FutureRedeemed Future Redeemed]]''.
*** Right after ending my playthroughs of both ''Future Connected'' and ''Torna'' on the previous day, I started publishing my playthrough of the main game of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3'' itself on July 29th, 2023, [[MilestoneCelebration the game's very 1st Anniversary]].
** On June 23rd, 2023, it was the [[MilestoneCelebration 32nd Anniversary of]] ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog''. So I started playthroughs of ''VideoGame/SonicBattle'' and ''[[VideoGame/SonicTripleTrouble16Bit Sonic Triple Trouble 16-Bit]]'' right after completing my playthroughs of ''VideoGame/SonicAdvance2'' and ''VideoGame/SonicHeroes''. I also made a very late announcement that will be tackling for S-Ranks in all of the Action Chain Challenges, and then later all of the the Cyberspace levels of ''VideoGame/SonicFrontiers'' following its Update 2 patch. However, I didn't give myself time to actually start on this until exact one month later on July 23rd, 2023.
** On respectively September 13th and 14th of 2023, I announced and later commenced playthroughs of 16-Bit games of ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' [[MilestoneCelebration to celebrate the respective 30th and 33rd Anniversaries of their shows]].
** On the final eight days of September 2023, I published a video of ''VideoGame/XMen1992'' on each day to the end of the month to celebrate [[MilestoneCelebration 70 Years of the]] ''Franchise/XMen''.
** I commenced my playthrough of ''VideoGame/SuperMarioLand2SixGoldenCoins'' (DX GameMod) on October 21st, 2023 to [[MilestoneCelebration to honor the 31st Anniversary of both the game and the debut of]] VideoGame/{{Wario}}. This date was also one day after the release of ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBrosWonder''.
** I scheduled the entirety of my ''VideoGame/Pikmin2001'' playthrough on a day-to-day basis - similarly to the day-to-day progression and time management of the game itself - to make sure that it reached its final part on October 26th, 2023, [[MilestoneCelebration the 22nd Anniversary of the entire]] ''VideoGame/{{Pikmin}}'' [[MilestoneCelebration franchise]].
** Not entirely intentional, but I started my playthrough of ''VideoGame/SonicAdvance3'' on November 15th, 2023, [[MilestoneCelebration the 18th Anniversary]] of two of its closest successors ''VideoGame/ShadowTheHedgehog'' and ''VideoGame/SonicRush''. What makes this significant is that the former game was [[GrandFinale was the final Sonic game to use the Ryan Drummond voice cast]], while the latter two games was the start of the Jason Griffith voice cast replacing them for the games.
** I commenced my playthrough of ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiSuperstarSaga'' on November 17th, 2023 to commenmorate [[MilestoneCelebration the game's 20th Anniversary and of the]] ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigi'' series as a whole, and also to honor the release of the [[UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch Switch]] [[VideoGameRemake remake]] of ''VideoGame/SuperMarioRPG''. With the former game being a SpiritualSuccessor to the later, both games share common ground in [[HeKnowsAboutTimedHits Timed Hits]] and Creator/YokoShimomura as their composer.
** As moreso a morbid coincidence unrelated to my channel, I ended up starting pages for ''VideoGame/DigimonAdventurePSP'' for this Website/ThisVeryWiki on December 28th, 2023, 5 years after the passing of [[TheHero Tai's]] original Japanese voice actress, Creator/ToshikoFujita. [[InMemoriam Rest In Peace.]]
*** Following this, for something that ''did'' involve my channel, I outright premiered a playthrough of ''VideoGame/DigimonAdventurePSP'' itself on March 7th, 2024, [[MilestoneCelebration the 25th Anniversary of]] [[Anime/DigimonAdventure the very anime that inspired this game to begin with]] and the overall {{Anime}} branch of the entire Franchise/{{Digimon}} franchise. This was also one day after [[Recap/DigimonAdventurePilot the short pilot film of the same name]] and one day before the [[MilestoneCelebration 6th Anniversary]] of the game's well-done English FanTranslation.
** On February 2nd, 2024, I released an alternate take on ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles''[='=]s Carnival Night music, and then later started my playthrough of ''VideoGame/KnucklesChaotix''. Both were to celebrate the [[MilestoneCelebration 30th Anniversary]] of the [[OneGameForThePriceOfTwo standalone]] ''Sonic 3'', [[JustForPun and Knuckles, the echidna, himself]].
** I purposely finished my playthrough of ''VideoGame/Splatoon1''[='=]s Hero Mode on April 8th, 2024, the day of the end of the online services for the Platform/WiiU and Platform/Nintendo3DS, and as such, [[EndOfAnEra the end of this game's life and main feature]].
* MilestoneCelebration: I have put emphasis on every hundredth video of the first one thousand I uploaded and published, usually by focusing on a given game's climax and/or SignatureScene:
** [[https://youtu.be/e5IOHKt-bsU My 100th video]] was for ''VideoGame/MegaManX2'', focusing specifically on the first fight between X and Zero (and as such, leading to the game's [[MultipleEndings bad ending]]).
** [[https://youtu.be/9NUtNNxe4YM My 200th video]] was for [[UsefulNotes/SuperNintendoEntertainmentSystem SNES]] version of ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1'', focusing on Mario beating the ''real'' [[BigBad Bowser]] once and for all, and saving Princess Peach for the very first of many, ''many'' times.
** [[https://youtu.be/EE5u_2fh5L0 My 300th video]] was for ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosMelee'', focusing on finishing off my initial playthroughs of that game's Adventure Mode by using Bowser. This means that I end up having him fight ''[[TrueFinalBoss Giga]]'' [[TrueFinalBoss Bowser]] at the very end, just like I've done with everyone else prior.
** [[https://youtu.be/uW-GBUJP1NI My 400th video]] was for ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles'', focusing on finishing off my first playthrough of the entire game by beating it as [[InfinityPlusOneSword Hyper Sonic]] in [[GoldenEnding Doomsday Zone]].
** [[https://youtu.be/oNHZoYkgXgQ My 500th video]] was for the original [[UsefulNotes/NintendoEntertainmentSystem NES]] ''VideoGame/NinjaGaiden'', completing the entirety of the final act, which is considered [[DifficultySpike the most brutal levels]] [[NintendoHard of an already notoriously-difficulty game]] (though I do admit that I likely wouldn't be able to pull this off at all without [[UsefulNotes/{{Emulation}} save states]]; [[TrialAndErrorGameplay that's how hard this game can be]]). This video was also released on [[ChristmasEpisode Christmas 2011]].
** [[https://youtu.be/6wMkW4xdzkE My 600th video]] was for the original ''VideoGame/TheLegendOfZelda'', focusing on getting Link through the Death Mountain dungeon, defeating Ganon, and saving Princess Zelda in what would be the first shown victory [[LegacyCharacter of many past and future stories]].
** [[https://youtu.be/gaB69B9qhCQ My 700th video]] was for ''[[VideoGame/RocketKnightAdventures Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2]]'', focusing on the final stage of the game where Sparkster channels his inner [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Super Sonic]], and defeats the final boss as [[GoldenSuperMode Gold Sparkster]].
** [[https://youtu.be/t85CMJLlKvU My 800th video]] was for the original ''VideoGame/KidIcarus'', focusing on getting the GoldenEnding of the game and defeating [[BigBad Medusa]] with the Three Sacred Treasures. Thus, Pit saves [[BigGood Palutena]], and all of Skyworld would be at peace [[VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising until twenty-five years later...]]
** [[https://youtu.be/8mjK4q6soZY My 900th video]] was for ''VideoGame/MegaMan2'', focusing on the start of Mega Man's march through Wily's second castle, all to what is considered [[AwesomeMusic/MegaMan the most famous]] ([[HypeBacklash and infamous]]) [[AwesomeMusic/MegaMan song in the entire]] ''Franchise/MegaMan'' franchise.
** [[https://youtu.be/vHbQUY0fpJw My 1000th video]], [[EndOfAnEra and the final one I gave this kind of focus to]], was for the ''Subspace Emissary'' mode of ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosBrawl'', focusing on defeating [[FinalBoss Tabuu]] with [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Sonic]], and Sonic ''only'', following his BigDamnHeroes moment, which helped all of the rest of the Nintendo fighters ([[MyFriendsAndZoidberg and]] [[VideoGame/MetalGear Snake]]) to save the World of Trophies once and for all.
* NamesTheSame: These are just some of the ones I've noticed the most trying to keep track of the LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters I've featured on my channel:
** My channel has featured two Creator/{{Nintendo}}-owned characters named '''Roy'''. Since both of these Roys can be in a match of ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU'' or ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'', I intentionally put no effort into differenating [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTheBindingBlade the Young Lion and Pheraen Prince from Elibe]] from [[VideoGame/SuperMarioBros3 the brute-faced, pink-colored, sunglasses-wearing Koopaling]] in the titles of my matches unless [[ThereCanOnlyBeOne they are directly pitted against each other]].
** I have featured three different girls named '''Marie''', and all of them somehow seem to be associated with... death? [[VideoGame/{{Holdover}} One is handicapped and is prone to dying in her game]] ([[AuthorAppeal especially by drowning]]), [[VideoGame/{{Skullgirls}} one is a powerful being that can control the undead]], [[VideoGame/{{Splatoon}} and one is just simply an entertaining]] DeadpanSnarker ([[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers okay, so she sometimes talks like she]] ''[[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers wishes]]'' [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers she was dead]]).
** I have featured two righteous Japanese fighters named '''Ryu''': [[Franchise/StreetFighter the original World Warror of Ansatsuken]], and [[VideoGame/NinjaGaiden Heir to the Dragon Ninja Clan]].
** '''Musashi'''? Are you talking about [[VideoGame/BraveFencerMusashi a Brave Fencer]], [[VideoGame/MusashiSamuraiLegend a Samurai Legend]], or a VideoGame/{{Shinobi}}? They seem to all love [[CoolSword cool swords]], too.
** Speaking of [[{{Ninja}} ninjas and shinobi]], I have shown off three of them named '''Hanzo'''. Let me know if you wanna talk about either [[VideoGame/{{Overwatch}} Genji's older brother]], [[VideoGame/SenranKagura Asuka's grandfather]], or [[VideoGame/StreetsOfRage those speedy mooks Axel's team has to deal with]].
** '''Athena''' can refer to a different trio of girls. [[VideoGame/{{Athena}} A purple-haired warrior princess/goddess]], [[VideoGame/PsychoSoldier a pink- or purple-haired, psychic J-Pop idol and descendant of the aforementioned warrior princess/goddess]], or [[VideoGame/AlteredBeast1988 the blonde-haired daughter of Zeus that got kidnapped by Neff]]. Before all of these girls made appearances on my channel, this name was first featured as the name of the AI system and game announcer of ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}''.
** I have featured two Japanese girls named '''Shiki'''. [[VideoGame/SenranKagura One of them actually has a reaper's scythe for a weapon]] compared to [[VideoGame/TheWorldEndsWithYou the other one that often must fight a more creative and symbolic definition of "Reapers"]].
* NewYearHasCome:
** After an ''[[EndingFatigue exhausting]]'' run of ''VideoGame/CrashBandicoot4ItsAboutTime'' since its release of October 2, 2020, I finally finished my playthrough of the game right at the start of January 1st, 2022.
** I finished publishing my ''[[VideoGame/SonicAdvanceTrilogy Sonic Advance 2]]'' run as [[RighteousRabbit Cream the Rabbit]] on January 1st, 2023, [[EasternZodiac the start of the Year of the Rabbit]].
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: Among the series I've put on the channel are ones based on non-video game franchises, such as ''Franchise/DragonBall'' and ''Creator/MarvelComics'', and are, for the most part, consisdered fantastic games in their own right. It's because of this that I feature my playlist of ''VideoGame/DragonBallFighterZ'' on the front of my channel.
* PlatformGame: My favorite {{Video Game Genre|s}}. A significant majority of my featured games come from this genre, including [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mr. Video Game, himself]], as well as his [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog biggest metafictional rival]] of the [[MediaNotes/The16bitEraOfConsoleVideoGames Fourth Generation]] UsefulNotes/ConsoleWars. This also includes hybrid genres, such as ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros'' being a PlatformFighter. As of this writing, I have covered over 120 platformers of various styles. That sure is a lot of jumpin'!
* {{Retraux}}: I occasionally use the music software FL-Studio to create and remix songs into the same [=SMPS=]-based soundfont that's used in most of the UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' titles, and [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic reception for them all was generally positive]]. This includes...
** An attempt to make a Genesis remix of "Soramimi Cake", the opening theme of the ''Manga/AzumangaDaioh'' anime. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o-0ipHbqy8 Link.]]
** A new extended mix of ''Sonic 3''[='=]s title screen music with new instrumentations. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQnN2BDHc1o Link.]]
** A fused remix of both Act themes of ''Sonic 3''[='=]s Launch Base Zone and the 2-Player theme of ''Sonic 2''[='=]s Mystic Cave Zone. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmGUW3nXCLk Act 1 Only.]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TzO2WKhK0U Act 2 Only.]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_to9yfmcQb8 Full Version.]]
** An extended remix of a possibly Super Sonic-esque song that got DummiedOut from ''Sonic 3'' during its development (based on a November 1993 prototype that was found and [=ROM=]-dumped in November 2019). [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QIMMoz6Ueo Link.]]
** A remix of a "Club Scene" music theme that was apparently meant for ''Sonic 2'', including a brand new extended section before it loops. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSsNphwXwXQ Link.]]
** An alternate take on ''Sonic 3''[='=]'s Carnival Night Zone, where the start and end of the song are the same, but everything else is different while still utilizing all of the original samples. [[https://youtu.be/BFk9Hv35CZI Link.]]
* RuleOfCool: The reason my ''VideoGame/GunstarHeroes'' playthrough is a DoublePlay. Twice the StuffBlowingUp!
* SelfImposedChallenge: You can mostly see this whenever I focus on a BossRush in a ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' game:
** ''VideoGame/KirbyAndTheAmazingMirror'': Beat [[BossRush Boss Endurance]] with each and every ability (including Normal, and, through Codebreaker codes, U.F.O. and [[InfinityPlusOneSword Master]]).
** ''VideoGame/KirbyAndTheAmazingMirror'': Beat [[BossRush Boss Endurance]] with as many abilities as I can. Some make it impossible either out of utility or out of too much harm. So they had to be ignored.
** ''VideoGame/KirbySuperStar Ultra'': Beat [[PromotedToPlayable Helper to Hero]] with every Helper character. Beat [[HarderThanHard The TRUE Arena]] with ''every'' ability (including Normal).
** ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles'': Complete every playthrough with the {{Cap}} of 99 lives (technically, the number of lives can go higher than that, but this resets to 99 each time a new zone is reached, or when the game is reset). This also applies to ''[[GameMod Sonic 3: D. A. Garden Edition]]''.
** ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosMelee'': Beat Adventure Mode, including [[TrueFinalBoss Giga Bowser]], with the entire roster. This means beating the mode on Hard or higher.
** ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosBrawl'': Use the entire roster to beat [[BossRush Boss Battles Mode]] on [[HarderThanHard Intense]].
** ''[[VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosForNintendo3DSAndWiiU Super Smash Bros. for Wii U]]'': Beat Classic Mode with every character on [[HarderThanHard Intensity 9.0]].
** ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosUltimate'': Complete Classic Mode on ''[[{{Cap}} Intensity 9.9]]'' with ''everyone''. [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters Yes, that means 83 playthroughs of Classic Mode]], which I eventually accomplished upon the release of [[GrandFinale the game's final fighter]]: [[Franchise/KingdomHearts Sora]].
* ShowDontTell: Even with my improved experience with having a [=YouTube=] channel since signing up for an account back in 2009, I prefer to strictly focus on the gameplay of my videos, rather than including commentary or utilizing a facecam to go with them like most popular content creators have done since 2013 at large. Any explanations I provide are either in the video descriptions, or any text I put in video guides. Although this is an honest presentation for myself, I feel it could be part of why my channel tends to be seen as an AcclaimedFlop.
* ShutUpHannibal: One of the most awesome and funniest moments I pulled off in one of my last videos of ''VideoGame/StarFox64'' is ''lethally'' [[https://youtube.com/shorts/-P2UN7iWc-Q?feature=share invoking this on Andrew]] and making him feel like a [[JustForPun true]] ButtMonkey.
--> '''Andrew:''' We'll make sure you never reach An- *gets blasted to pieces* [[OhCrap Ahhhh!!!!]]
--> '''Fox:''' We'll just see about that, Star Wolf!
* TakeAThirdOption:
** How I handled creating playthroughs of the ''[[MarketBasedTitle Musashiden]]'' games. It was either complete a ''VideoGame/BraveFencerMusashi'' playlist first, then complete a ''VideoGame/MusashiSamuraiLegend'' playlist, or vice-versa. While the former [[FirstInstallmentWins is considered the better game]], I was more eager to make a playlist for the latter, feeling it would be easier to do. Ultimately, I decided to work on ''both'', back-to-back, to make sure that the former's understated CultClassic following, and the latter's much more underground fans could all be pleased at once without having to wait for me to start on their respective games later. [[{{Irony}} In a truly ironic twist of fate]], however, my ''Samurai Legend'' playthrough ended up being much more popular than my ''Brave Fencer'' playthrough (with ''over 100,000 playlist views'' as of this writing, making ''Samurai Legend'' among my highest-viewed playlists ever), which truly shows that the game ''does'' indeed have [[ContestedSequel a decent group of dedicated fans despite being less-favored]]. I have currently set this two-game series as my top-featured EasternRPG series on the channel (even over the likes of my ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'', ''VideoGame/{{Mother}}'', and even my ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' content, let alone any content of what is likely the ''Musashi'' games' [[Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda biggest inspiration]]).
** I have eventually planned this ''Musashi'' scheme to my playthroughs of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles'' and ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles2''. [[spoiler:One of the not-so mundane reasons is how both games' stories occur at the exact same time, compared to both ''Musashi'' games not having a similar connection to each other. So how I'd pace my videos for both ''Xenoblade'' games from start to finish would be my way to acknowledge and honor that detail, compared to applying this to both ''Musashi'' games all just for the sake of tandem appeal and attention. Likewise, the appearance of ''VideoGame/XenobladeChronicles3'' and its true connection with its prequels has further spurred me to plan said prequels like this.]]
* TemporaryOnlineContent: I have covered as much of ''Franchise/{{Splatoon}}''[='=]s Splatfests and ''VideoGame/CrashTeamRacingNitroFueled''[='=]s Grand Prix events as I could. Check them out if you wanna know how exciting it was to follow games like this passionately for content that only lasted for a certain amount of time (and unlike ''VideoGame/{{Overwatch}}''[='=]s themed events, ''doesn't'' repeat... for the most part).
* ValentinesDayEpisode: I finished my playthrough of ''VideoGame/AlteredBeast1988'' on Valentine's Day 2021, which feels appropriate, considering that the end of the game has your centurion defeat Neff and rescue [[DamselInDistress Athena]], and they both presumably fall in love with each other.
