* AllStarCast:
** The third season replaces the previous English cast with many well-known voice actors, such as Creator/ErikaHarlacher, Creator/KyleMcCarley, Creator/ChristineMarieCabanos, Creator/KiraBuckland, Creator/DougErholtz, Creator/KaijiTang, Creator/KeithSilverstein, Creator/ToddHaberkorn.
** The same goes in the Latin American Spanish dub, as the dub was changed from Argentina to Mexico, and featuring a mix of younger and veteran voice actors.
%%** The Japanese dub is not a slouch on this either.
* ChannelHop: From France 3 for the first two seasons, France 4 for the Nox Special and Season 3; with an unknown channel for the fourth season (mainly the Ankama Launcher itself).
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The show's only physical releases are in France and Australia, unless you were one of the lucky people to Kickstart $45+ to the original English Dub; in that case, you got a region free Blu-Ray with all the episodes (in both French and English, spanning 7 discs) before season 3 happened. Only a little over 3500 copies were made. These show up on Ebay once in a blue moon.
* RecursiveAdaptation: The ''VideoGame/{{Dofus}}'' MMORPG was the basis for the ''Wakfu'' MMORPG on which the ''Wakfu'' series is based on, and later on we got WesternAnimation/DofusKerubsBazaar, which is a LighterAndSofter prequel to Wakfu, even though the original Dofus game came first. On top of that, we also have a side story game, VideoGame/IslandsOfWakfu.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork:
** The series has been aired somewhat erratically on the French television network, France 3, including more rediffusion than usual, changing time slots, and gaps of several months between new episodes (the last one being a two-and-a-half-month pause before the ''final three episodes''). Viewers were not happy.
** Culminated with France 3 cutting the ending credits of the last episode, which actually depict [[spoiler:[[WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue what happened to Nox after his defeat]]]].
** Also, Ankama was ready to make a 3rd season, but France 3 declined because they where wanting a more children oriented show. Because of that, it's only in 2015 that season have been anounced for Netflix internationally, with a channel hop to France 4 in its native France.
** Season 4 had to resort to being crowdfunded due to France Télévisions shutting down the channel and block the show was broadcast on.
* ShrugOfGod: What's under Yugo's hat? Ankama has [[spoiler:(had)]] no bloody clue.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** The English dub had it's cast completely replaced for Season 3 due to Netflix funding the dub and recording it in America, instead of the U.K. where it was originally recorded.
** The same happened in Latin America, as the dub went from Argentina to Mexico for similar reasons.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The artbook ''"Dofus - Les mains d'Eniripsa"'' presents the plot of an unseen episode, going as far as providing a full summary, character design, and even background design. The episode was about Yugo and friends trying to save a village from complete dryness. For some reason, the episode was scrapped and never produced. The only remaining bit is the title character, a charming Eniripsa called Mey d'Elongrot, who was present in the crowd as a cameo in episode 10.
* WordOfGod: Yes, in season 2 [[spoiler:Sadlygrove and Evangelyne are a couple and have a physical relationship]]. No, no need to fanwank about [[spoiler:how and when Grovy had seen Eva naked, as mentioned in season 2 episode 8]]; it just happened off-screen. Nothing else to see, move along.\
