Context Trivia / TheSuperheroSquadShow

* ActingForTwo: There are some characters who share voice actors and interact with one another.
** Creator/TaraStrong voices both H.E.R.B.I.E. and Scarlet Witch.
** Creator/TomKenny voices Iron Man, M.O.D.O.K., and Captain America.
** Creator/CharlieAdler voices Doctor Doom and his mother Coco Von Doom.
** Creator/SteveBlum voices Wolverine and the Abomination.
* ChannelHop: Reruns went from Creator/CartoonNetwork to Creator/TheHub due to Hasbro's involvement with the Super Hero Squad toyline (though Cartoon Network was also getting rid of Marvel-related content anyway, [[Creator/{{Disney}} for obvious reasons]]).
* ExecutiveMeddling: Despite Disney purchasing Marvel around the time of the show's premiere, Cartoon Network was forced to continue airing the series due to a contractual obligation to Hasbro, who produced the toyline.
* ExiledFromContinuity: ComicBook/SpiderMan and related characters weren't allowed to appear on the show because Creator/{{Sony}} still owned the full media rights to Spider-Man when the show was in development. Because Sony didn't relinquish Spidey's animated television rights to Disney yet, the wall-crawler didn't even get to make so much as a cameo in the second season. The closest the series ever gets to acknowledging Spider-Man is having the Mayor of Superhero City mention [[WritingAroundTrademarks a hero who gained super powers from being bitten by a radioactive bug]] in "Election of Evil". He appeared in both of the tie-in video games, however, reprised by Creator/JoshKeaton from ''WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderMan'', as the rights were different for that medium.
* FlipFlopOfGod: The writers can't seem to make up their minds on whether or not Black Widow is real in this continuity, or just a mole persona created by Mystique.
* RealLifeRelative: In the French dub, Doctor Doom is voiced by Creator/JoseLuccioni, whose daughter, Olivia Luccioni, is also the voice of Scarlet Witch. In that same dub, Cédric Dumond is the voice of Wolverine, while his father, Creator/PhilippeDumond, is the voice of Adam Warlock as well as the first voice of Ronan the Accuser.
* RoleReprise: A few actors who portrayed Marvel characters in past productions returned to voice their characters:
** To, no one's surprise, Creator/SteveBlum (starting with ''VideoGame/XMenLegends'') as Wolverine.
** Creator/ShawnAshmore (''Film/XMenFilmSeries'') as Iceman.
** Ray Stevenson (''Film/PunisherWarZone'') as the Punisher.
** Creator/DaveBoat (''WesternAnimation/UltimateAvengers'') as Thor.
** Creator/JimWard and Creator/AJBuckley (''WesternAnimation/{{Wolverine and the X|Men2009}}-Men'') as Professor Xavier and Toad respectively.
** Creator/JessHarnell (''WesternAnimation/FantasticFourTheAnimatedSeries'') as Impossible Man.
** Both tie-in games featured Creator/JoshKeaton (''WesternAnimation/TheSpectacularSpiderMan'') as Spider-Man.
** In the French dub, Géraldine Asselin is the voice of Storm, reprising her role from the ''X-Men'' movies, while Axel Kiener is the voice of Hawkeye, reprising his role from ''WesternAnimation/TheAvengersUnitedTheyStand''.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: When Season 2 started on Cartoon Network, it only aired on Saturday mornings at 6:30 AM. Disney's purchase of Marvel was likely a factor in this, though, to Cartoon Network's credit, they ''did'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GR5vUsjmeo promote the season 2 premiere]], which was a rarity among shows aired on CN that tended to get banished to graveyard slots.
** That being said, in October 2011, after airing over half of the season, Cartoon Network burned off the rest of the series in a weekday timeslot at 7:00am.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: ComicBook/SpiderMan was slated to appear in the series during conception, possibly in Falcon's spot, but Creator/{{Sony}} refused due to their ownership of the TV rights to the character at the time. Even after Sony returned the TV rights to Marvel following Disney's acquisition of said company, he still wasn't able to appear at all in the series. The closest we got was in the ''WesternAnimation/{{Ultimate Spider|Man2012}}-Man'' episode "Flight of the Iron Spider", which shows a SHS-Spidey in one of Spidey's own {{Imagine Spot}}s as Tony Stark is talking about an invention that can send people into different dimensions [[spoiler:which also serves as a ChekhovsGun as that's how he gets rid of the Living Laser - sending him exactly into ''SHSS'' to be beaten up by Thor]].
** This is somewhat rectified by him (and some other Spider-Heroes) appearing in [[VideoGame/SuperHeroSquadOnline the online game]], which for all intents and purposes is in the same universe as the cartoon.
* WrittenByCastMember: Creator/TomKenny co-wrote "Missing: Impossible!"
