* ExecutiveMeddling:
** The story was likely meant to conclude in the magazine's 50th issue, but due to the magazine's apparent need to print the ComicBookAdaptation of ''WesternAnimation/TheLionKing1994'' (which itself was already being printed in a Creator/MarvelComics graphic novel), there was a two-issue gap between Chapters 1 & 2, and the final installment was printed in issue 51. This may not have been such a bad thing, though, as the slight SequelGap helps enhance the "fifty years later" in the second chapter. Plus, this also meant that the conclusion would eventually be printed in editor-in-chief Tommi Lewis' final issue of ''Magazine/DisneyAdventures'', which makes it a fitting tribute to the end of an era for ''DA'' to have such a story end there.
** Also, when Solego [[spoiler:blows up the Gizmoduck armor]], the artwork depicting [[spoiler:Fenton flying away]] seems to have been hurriedly added in at the last minute; it just doesn't ''look quite right'' compared to the rest of the panel, and Solego comments that he's been disintegrated. It seems like he was intended to be killed outright and then revived at the end of the story, instead of [[spoiler:simply teleported back into the armor]].
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: ''The Legend of the Chaos God'' was never republished and spent 27 years out of print, until Fantagraphics included it in a collection of ''DA'' comics in 2021.
* ReferencedBy: The ''WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017'' episode "[[Recap/DuckTales2017S3E12LetsGetDangerous Lets Get Dangerous]]." In the story, Solego was a "mad thinker" trying to open doorways to other realities, and Taurus Bulba uses a key with the so-called "Solego Circuit" to power his Ramrod machine.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: [[https://twitter.com/Aaron_Sparrow/status/1249770085813612547 According to Aaron Sparrow]], a sequel was planned for the [[Creator/KaboomComics Boom! Kids]] ''ComicBook/DarkwingDuck'' comic book series, but was canceled when Disney bought Creator/MarvelComics and ended the Boom! license.
** A later interview revealed more about the sequel, where Solego would've been revived by an {{Expy}} of [[{{Franchise/Batman}} Ra's al Ghul]] and would involve even more Disney Afternoon shows, including ''WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}}''.
