* ActingForTwo:
** Creator/DeeBradleyBaker voices Dopey and Squire Peckington.
** Bill Farmer voices Doc and Sir Yipsalot.
** Creator/LeighAllynBaker voices Queen Delightful and Snazzy Shazam. She uses a high-pitched falsetto voice for the former and a variant of her natural voice for the latter.
* TheCastShowoff: Various cast members like Kelly Osbourne, Jess Harnell, and ''especially'' Creator/KevinMichaelRichardson get to show off their singing talent.
* CelebrityVoiceActor:
** The Prince of Darkness himself, ''Music/OzzyOsbourne'', plays Hildy Gloom's father (with his wife Sharon playing Hildy's mother).
** Grandmommers Whimsical was Creator/DebbieReynolds' final acting role.
* CowboyBebopAtHisComputer: The show is still regularly referred to as a Creator/DisneyJunior show by many news reports and blogs despite being retooled into a Creator/DisneyXD show before it premiered.
* DevelopmentGag: The episode "Hop To It, Dopey!" is a reference to the Sorcerer's Apprentice in ''WesternAnimation/{{Fantasia}}''. The episode has Dopey obtaining a wizard's hat, and being unable to undo the destruction he's causing, similar to the Fantasia segment. At one point Dopey was considered to be the apprentice in the original segment before being replaced with Mickey Mouse.
* HeAlsoDid: Nearly all of the crew of ''WesternAnimation/TinyToonAdventures'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' including series creator Tom Ruegger helped to create this show. Grumpy and Grim are voiced by Maurice [=LaMarche=][[note]]Dizzy, the Brain, Squit[[/note]] and Jess Harnell[[note]]Wakko[[/note]] respectively.
** On a...different note, the creator Noah Z. Jones also created fellow Disney series ''WesternAnimation/FishHooks'' and ''WesternAnimation/PickleAndPeanut'' as well as ''WesternAnimation/AlmostNakedAnimals''.
* InkSuitActor: With her purple hair, blue lips and gothlike appearance, Hildy Gloom bears more than a passing resemblance to her voice actress, Kelly Osbourne.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate: The show made it's premiere on July 7, 2014. The seventh day of the seventh month for a show about the seven dwarves.
* NetworkRedHeadedStepchild: This is the only Y-rated show released on Disney XD in the 2010s given how the programming is usually TV-Y7 (and occasionally PG).
* ProductionPosse:
** A number of actors and crew worked on the '90s Warner Bros. shows that Tom Ruegger produced, including Creator/MauriceLaMarche, Creator/BillyWest, Jess Harnell, Tress [=MacNeille=], Rob Paulsen, Jeff Bennett, Jim Cummings, Corey Burton, Creator/PaulRugg, John P. [=McCann=], Sherri Stoner, and Charles Visser.
** The show was originally meant for Disney Junior, and has some alumni who worked on ''WesternAnimation/MickeyMouseClubhouse'' and ''WesternAnimation/JakeAndTheNeverLandPirates'' , including voice director Kelly Ward, writer Mark Drop, storyboard artists Phil Mosness, Kyle Menke, and Charles Visser, director Jeff Gordon, and voice actors Dee Bradley Baker, Bill Farmer, Maurice [=LaMarche=], Kevin Michael Richardson, Corey Burton, Jim Cummings, Tress [=MacNeille=], and Rob Paulsen.
* RealLifeRelative: Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne guest star as Hildy's parents in "Bummer Vacation".
* RecycledScript: The way Goldilocks acts is very similar to how Melissa Screetch acted in the ''{{WesternAnimation/Toonsylvania}}'' skit "Melissa and the Three Bears". It's also worth noting that Goldilocks and Melissa share the same voice actor and both end with the girl making the Three Little Pigs her latest victims.
* ReleaseDateChange: The first season finale "Rock of Sages" was supposed to premiere on Disney XD in the US on January 22, 2015, but was delayed because some of the animation needed to be fixed.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: Season 2 barely got much notice when it aired and Disney XD hardly showed much interest in advertising the show as this was during the time when the series was ending. Following after it ended, most of its reruns had disappeared permanently.
* UncreditedRole: Some episodes don't list guest star names.
* VoicesInOneRoom: The voice actors for the 7D record their dialogue together in the same recording booth. Same goes for those of Queen Delightful and Starchy and Hildy and Grim in pairs.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The show was originally going to be on Disney Junior and made for younger audiences. When it was decided that Disney XD would air the show, the episodes made for Disney Junior had to be rewritten for Disney XD's demographic (which is slightly older than what Disney Junior has for a demographic). Ironically, the show started airing on Disney Junior a little bit later.
** The show was originally going to be Flash-animated, but Disney execs didn't care for it, so it was traditionally animated.
** Back when the show was meant to first air on Disney Junior, the dwarfs had slightly [[http://thedisneyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/the7d-disney-junior.jpg different designs]] except for Grumpy, Sleepy, and Happy, whose designs are the same in the final product.
** The Magic Mirror used to have a more human-like [[http://the7dwiki.tumblr.com/image/149817644729 design]].
** Both Hildy and Grim went through [[http://the7dwiki.tumblr.com/image/149817311149 different designs.]] Grim went through two different shades of green for his hair and shirt, while Hildy's nose was a little more pointed.
** There were two episodes that never made it into the show that had their plots revealed: One called [[http://the7dwiki.tumblr.com/post/150219573989/apparently-there-was-a-pitch-to-disney-that-never "The Cure is Worse than the 7D's"]] which was about Sneezy getting cured of his allergies, causing the 7D to go into chaos. The other unfinished episode would've [[https://66.media.tumblr.com/4e22abe3bc30d089f6fcdcab60f7ecc7/tumblr_ocyg49XUXB1rwmb4to1_1280.jpg involved]] [[https://66.media.tumblr.com/2212b0e8136ea8166ec16c3f7ee2b1b2/tumblr_ocuho4T9kS1rwmb4to1_1280.jpg zombies]].
* WrittenByCastMember: Paul Rugg, voice of Lord Starchbottom, is a staff writer for the series. Justified in that he often writes in the same shows he acts in.
