--> ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Masou Kishin: The Lord of Elemental Part 1]]'' (Platform/NintendoDS[=/=]Platform/PlayStationPortable UpdatedRerelease)
--> ''Super Robot Wars Original Generations'' (Includes both ''Original Generation'' and ''Original Generation 2'')
---> ''VideoGame/EndlessFrontier''[[note]]Occurs concurrently with ''Original Generation 2''[[/note]]
--> ''Super Robot Wars Original Generation Gaiden''
---> ''[[VideoGame/EndlessFrontier Endless Frontier EXCEED]]''[[note]]Set sometime after ''Original Generation Gaiden'', but before the ''Second Original Generation''[[/note]]
---> ''[[VideoGame/AnotherCenturysEpisode Another Century's Episode R]]''[[note]]Set sometime after ''Original Generation Gaiden'', but just as the ''Second Original Generation'' begins[[/note]]
--> ''Second Super Robot Wars Original Generation''
---> ''Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Dark Prison''[[note]]Occurs simultaneously with, but ends shortly after the last scenario of the ''Second Original Generation''[[/note]]
--> ''VideoGame/ProjectXZone''[[note]]Set sometime post-''Second Original Generation'' due to the inclusion of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Sanger Zonvolt]] and his references to those events in ''Project X Zone''[[/note]]
--> ''Masou Kishin: The Lord of Elemental Part 2'' (Platform/NintendoDS[=/=]Platform/PlayStationPortable UpdatedRerelease)[[note]]''Part 2'' cannot occur between the ''EX'' scenarios and the Elemental Lords returning to the surface world in the ''Second Original Generation'', as WordOfGod states the secret Elemental Lords' attacks are only present as an unlockable treat to players, which should not occur until later[[/note]]
--> ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Masou Kishin: Revelation of Evil God]]''
--> ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Masou Kishin: Pride of Justice]]''
--> ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsGaiden Masou Kishin F: Coffin of the End]]''

!!Original Generations
* All pre-made ''Alpha'' protagonists [[DivergentCharacterEvolution become original characters]]. In the ''Alpha'' series, only [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Kusuha Mizuha and Brookyln "Bullet" Luckfield]] are given unique personalities.
* The scene where [[Characters/MasouKishin Masaki Andoh]] uses the Cybuster and displays its power at Wake Island is pastiched from ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars2''. Likewise, the scene with the first appearance of [[Characters/MasouKishin Lune Zoldark]] is a replica of a similar event from ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars3''.
* In RealLife, the mechanical design of the Wildschwein is based off of an early mechanical design for the Huckebein. This is referenced InUniverse, as the Huckebein line is developed directly from the Wildschwein.
* Unlike ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden]]'', the [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlphaGaiden Machinery Children]] in ''Original Generation 2'' are clones of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha2 Arado Balanga]], not [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlphaGaiden Egret Feff]].
* "[[CombinationAttack Rampage Ghost]]" can be used with the Rein Weiss Ritter for the first time in ''Original Generation 2''. In ''[[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Super Robot Wars Impact]]'', players have an choice of either reverting the Rein to normal or keep it as it is but lose the [[Manga/GetterRobo Shin Getter Robo]]; doing the latter, however, gains Rampage Ghost for the normal Weiss Ritter and Alt Eisen Riese, something ''Original Generation'' doesn't have.
* InUniverse, the Wild Falken and Wild Wurger are meant to be a GenerationXerox of the Weiss Ritter and Alt Eisen, respectively.
* The key differences between the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAdvance Shadow-Mirror]]" dimension and the Original Generation universe are as follows:
** The "Elpis Incident" kills off the entire [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Branstein family]]. Fortunately, the youngest son [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Raidiese]] survives; however, he dies during the "Vanishing Trooper Incident". This event also makes it taboo among mechanical designers to ever manufacture another "[[AMechByAnyOtherName Personal Trooper]]" resembling a Huckebein, which explains the proliferation of Gespensts within the Shadow-Mirror.
** The "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Aerogaters]]" do not arrive after the "[[CivilWar Divine Crusaders War]]": it's the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsClassic Inspectors]]". Similarly, Meteor-3 does not crash on the Earth; it's implied the radioactive mineral "Tronium" used to power the SRX is brought to Earth rather than being found within the meteor.
** [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Excellen Browning]] dies in the shuttle crash. Her parents take her body and resuscitate her through science and technology, rendering her into [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAdvance Lemon Browning]]]]. Likewise, Sanger is killed-in-action: [[spoiler:his body is taken by the Shadow-Mirror and rebuilt into the W-Numbers [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists W-15 "Wodan Ymir"]]. It's implied the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Einst]]", instead of Excellen, targets [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Kyosuke Nanbu]], creating the destructive "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Beowulf]]"]].

!!Original Generation Gaiden
* One of the ploys of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsReversal Duminuss]] is to use a dead character close to the protagonists in order to demoralize them. In its [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsReversal original game]], [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Master Asia]] is brought BackFromTheDead via "[[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Devil Gundam Cells]]" until an overload of "[[Manga/GetterRobo Getter Rays]]" purged it from his body. In ''Original Generation'', [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAdvance Lamia Loveless]] is used; rather than "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlphaGaiden Machine Cells]]" (the ''Original Generation'' [[{{Expy}} equivalent]] of Devil Gundam Cells), she's reprogrammed in a way where it might not be possible to restore her (since she's the last of the Shadow-Mirror). [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAdvance Axel Almer]], who's NotQuiteDead, reboots Lamia into her original programming via "Code: DTD"]].
** Additionally, it is implied that [[spoiler:the BrainwashedAndCrazy Lamia was a way to somehow re-introduce 'enemy Lamia' as seen in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAdvance'' in case the player picked Axel as the protagonist, but had to work around since 'player Lamia' has been around and completed her story. With the ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsReversal'' plot looming in [=2.5=], this results the decision [[CompositeCharacter to merge both 'enemy Lamia' with 'Back From The Dead Master Asia' into 'ODE Lamia']], while also bringing Axel back as the good guy, but skipped the 'Silly Axel' phase and went straight to the 'post-amnesia' Axel after betraying the Shadow Mirror. 'Silly Axel' would see his time to shine in the timeline in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOGSagaEndlessFrontier EXCEED''. Additionally, the writers managed to insert Axel's PostMortemOneLiner after killing 'enemy Lamia' in ''Advance'' ("Lemon, looks like your creation isn't turning out as you expected...") and repurpose it as the positive catalyst to save Lamia.]]
* Instead of the [[Anime/MobileFighterGGundam Devil Gundam]] dispatching the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX Cry Wolves]]", it is a [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsCompact2 Jetzt Regisseur]]. Subsequently, [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX Foglia Est]] isn't zombified a la the back-story of ''VieoGame/SuperRobotWarsMX'' and had to be given a MercyKill; instead, he pulls a HeroicSacrifice for his father [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX Albero Est]]]].
* For ''Alpha Gaiden'' and this installment, [[Characters/MasouKishin Shu Shirakawa]] is the TrueFinalBoss. However, he blatantly states he serves "[[Characters/MasouKishin Shiva Volkruss]]" for this game instead of referring to it as "a being" for ''Alpha Gaiden''. Meanwhile, the final battle against him in ''Original Generation Gaiden'' is more of a parallel to the same one from ''Super Robot Wars 3'' than ''Alpha Gaiden'' by summoning several automated Valsion units, with the title of the scenario being called "Armageddon", the same one from ''3''.
* Back-story in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsCompact3'' loosely mentions another ''Heaven''-class Shura God in the Swordian Fortress. It still remains in slumber by the end of the game.

!!The Second Original Generation
* Back in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsEX'', playing Masaki's route will lead to him and his allies encountering the Elemental Lord Zamzeed under control of the Shutendonias Alliance, with vague mentions that [[Characters/MasouKishin Tytti Noorbuck]] has a history with the machine. It isn't until ''The Lord of Elemental'' is released this PlotHole is resolved; as LateArrivalSpoiler is in play for this game regarding ''Masou Kishin'', Tytti explicitly tells the surface dwellers the Zamzeed was previously used by their [[PosthumousCharacter posthumous comrade]] [[Characters/MasouKishin Ricardo Silvera]]. The game also highlights Tytti's conflicting emotions when [[Characters/MasouKishin Mio Sasuga]] is chosen to be Ricardo's successor.
* [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Ing Egret]] is [[spoiler:not a Machinery Child: he's a clone of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Ingram Plisken]]. [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Euzeth Gozzo]] uses Ing as an "artificial pilot" in place of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha2 Irui Gan Eden]] to control the [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha2 Nashim Gan Eden]]]] in the final scenario of the ''Second Original Generation''. Most people have inferred that Egret Feff was working for [[spoiler:Euzeth]] all along, just like [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationEarthFederation Nibhal Mubhal]]]] has been doing since the very beginning.
* Back in ''Super Hero Sakusen'' ("Super Hero Operations"), Euzeth used the power of Series/{{Ultraman}} to create the "Chojin Zest", an {{Expy}} of [[Series/UltramanTiga Evil Tiga]]. [[spoiler:In the ''Second Original Generation'', he does the same, but with the Nashim Gan Eden instead of Ultraman, creating the "Adamatron"]].
* It's explicitly stated the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsClassic Zuvorg Alliance]]" haven't directly fought the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Ze Balmary Empire]]". It's suggested the Zuvorg had scuffles on the edges of their systems with the Balmar's "Neviim" lunar satellites and their automated legions and such, referring to those things as the "wandering Balmar".
* The fate of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Perfectio]] remains the same, except [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Ventus]]]] is the one who takes the place of [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing Treize Kushrenada]]. Perfectio even reveals the memories of [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Felio Radcliffe]]]], which fills in some lingering {{Plot Hole}}s from ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny'' regarding the SplitPersonality of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Cliana Rimskaya]], since the ''Second Original Generation'' does not use the experimentation trauma from ''Destiny'' which caused the split, and where the missing "Melior Esse" comes from ([[spoiler:Liana being an incomplete Melior Esse]]). Perfectio also notes about [[{{Precursors}} an ancient civilization that created the "Cross Gate"]].
* The [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX Medius Locus]] stops evolving after it reaches its second form because [[spoiler:it absorbs Albero into its Lasmunanium]]; the machine is discarded afterwards. Instead, its replacement is the [[spoiler:Model-X "Garberus"]], previously hinted at in ''MX'' and the intended final prototype of the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX Tsentr Project]]".
* Rather than use the "[[{{Anime/Raideen}} the Star of La-Mu]]" in ''MX'', [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX Eldy Mitte]] uses the Cross Gate in the Fabula Fores beneath Antarctica to power up the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsMX AI-1]]". [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Duvan Org]] also attempts it, but the Alles Geist can't handle its power. Since Eldy is simply using Duvan to buy time, the AI-1 absorbs Duvan and the Alles, turning into its final form from ''MX'']].
* In general, the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Gaia Sabers]]" don't seem to really mind what [[spoiler:Eldy]] is doing throughout the game (until it turns out [[spoiler:Euzeth was counting on her to complete the AI-1 all along]]), and General Mitall Zapad was openly trying [[spoiler:to stop her from working on it. Like ''MX'', Eldy eventually kills Mitall for interferring with her plans]].
* The dialogue during the [[spoiler:"Elyon Yada Domar" attack of the Adamatron]] mentions the following, with an appropriate silhouette(s):
--> "This is the Black Hell" [[note]][[spoiler:Euzeth's Black Judecca]][[/note]]
--> "This is the Black Angel" [[note]][[spoiler:Astranagant]][[/note]]
--> "This is the Black Gun God" [[note]][[spoiler:Dis Astranagant]][[/note]]
--> "These are your ancient forebearers" [[note]][[spoiler:Nashim Gan Eden and [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha3 Gebel Gan Eden]]]][[/note]]

!The Moon Dwellers
* In ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsJudgment'', the "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsJudgment Fury]]" state they were locked in a previous war with another faction to determine the fate of the Earth. In ''The Moon Dwellers'', this mysterious faction are [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Perfectio and the Ruina]], whom the Fury sealed with the "Fabula Fores" in the Antarctic. The "Granteed" constructed by the Fury serves as a countermeasure in the event Perfectio returns]].
** Building off the above, [[spoiler:the "Sympathia System" used in the ''Destiny'' HumongousMecha are replicas of the Fury's "Cytron Control System", first hinted at when [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsDestiny Joshua Radcliffe]] is using his "Geant Chevalier" and it resonates with the Granteed; this is later confirmed]].
* Following TheReveal in ''Judgment'' regarding [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsJudgment Al-Van Lunks]]]], [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsJudgment Calvina Coulange]] starts taking out her anger on her co-pilot trio, leading to [[Literature/FullMetalPanic Melissa Mao]] [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan slapping some sense into Calvina]]. In ''The Moon Dwellers'', she demands to know from [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsJudgment Touya Shiun]] [[spoiler:if his father knew of Al-Van being TheMole for the Fury]], leading to Touya accusing Calvina of possibly conspiring with the enemy. [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsClassic Irmgard Kazahara]] steps in to intervene; while there's no slap, [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Aya Kobayashi]] mentions to Calvina [[YouAreNotAlone she isn't the first person to have been betrayed]] [[CallBack by one whom they thought was their ally]], a clear reference to [[spoiler:Ingram's FaceHeelTurn]].
* This game marks the final vocal performance of Creator/YukoMizutani (Excellen), who passed away on May 17, 2016, roughly a month and a half before ''The Moon Dwellers'' was released in Japan. And according to WordOfGod later 2020, there is no plan to [[TheOtherDarrin replace her as Excellen]] (as was already done before with [[Anime/{{Daitarn 3}} Banjou Haran]]).
* With this game marking the inclusion of [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAdvance all]] [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsReversal the]] [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny GBA]] [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsJudgment titles]] in the Original Generations subseries, thus far only [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79uSaLK7j9U the title theme]] of ''Reversal'' has yet to receive a full blown remix, whereas ''Advance'' ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QswaLvEMolk So Close Yet So Far]]), ''Destiny'' ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKMN1GlREOk Destinies]]) and ''Judgment'' ([[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWpej9HaFqk Judgment Justice]]) each had at least one remix.

!The Inspectors
* In the first episode, aside from the SRX Beowulf destroys, two other machines are seen. According to WordOfGod, they are the Grungust and the Wildraubtier.
** The Huckebeins being ExiledFromContinuity in ''Divine Wars'' is continued to the point of self-parody: Bullet's intended Huckebein MK II and its mass-produced variants are replaced by a mass-produced Wildschwein (a mech that ''also'' resembles a Franchise/{{Gundam}}, though not as much as the Huckebein). Likewise, the "[=GuarBein=]" MK III Trombe belonging to [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Ratsel Feinschmecker]] in episode nine is a mish-mash of the Huckebein MK III and his old Guarlion Custom, while [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Ryoto Hikawa]] gets the '''[=EX=]'''bein, the InUniverse prototype of the MK III.
* The {{Leitmotif}} "Fairy Dang-Sing" heard in episode ten is the first time since ''Alpha'' a character's theme song is given official lyrics. Current ''Super Robot Wars'' series producer Takanobu Terada wrote the lyrics, with the voice actresses for [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Latooni Subbota and Shine Hausen]] singing it.
* In episode nineteen, the voices of the [=RyuOhKi=] and [=KoOhKi=] are Creator/MasamiObari and Terada, respectively. This marks the first time the Choukijin are voiced.

!Tropes
* ActorAllusion:
** Of sorts for the voice actor of [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Russel Bagman]]: he has no other roles because his primary job is "director photographer". In other words, he's the one in charge of the background.
** This isn't the first [[Franchise/{{Castlevania}} video game series]] where [[Creator/RyotaroOkiayu Raidiese]] isn't on good speaking terms with his father [[Creator/NorioWakamoto Maier von Branstein]].
** In a save-quit skit in ''The Moon Dwellers'', [[Creator/YokoHikasa Katia Grignarl]] all of a sudden presents a rather lewd face and attempts to disperse "[[Manga/DaimidalerTheSoundRobot Hi-ORu Particles]]" which confuses the hell out of [[Creator/NobunagaShimazaki Touya]].
** Since [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsJudgment Jua-Mu Dalby]] gets to use the Coustwell Brachium in the ''The Moon Dwellers'', some players have noticed it shares similarities to the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamIronBloodedOrphans ASW-G-66 Gundam Kimaris]]: purple-colored {{Mecha}} with a focus on agility-based melee attacks. Galileo Bauduin, who uses the Kimaris, is [[Creator/MasayaMatsukaze the same voice actor as Jua-Mu]].
* AscendedFanon: Latooni and use of the Wildraubtier. ''Original Generation'' isn't demanding in terms of "mandating" players to put which character in whichever unit; due to her lack of plot focus, the game allows Latooni to be in any mecha without protest. However, savvy players will put two-and-two together and place her in the Wildraubtier the instant [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha Ryusei Date]] is done with it, due to it matching her high evasion stat and ranged combat style perfectly. This didn't go unnoticed by the developers, and in ''Original Generations'', the switch becomes mandatory. Even when she isn't using the Fairlion, the Wildraubtier remains her default unit. Made more obvious when the Wildraubtier "Schnabel" is personally fine-tuned InUniverse by Latooni herself before the events of the ''Second Original Generation''.
* CastingGag: When [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Shouko Azuma]] turns into "[[HenshinHero Fighter Emi]]", her helmet is shaped like a cat's head, a reference to Shouko's voice actress Creator/HiromiKonno and her role as Neko Musume from the 2007 version of ''Manga/GeGeGeNoKitaro''.
* ColbertBump:
** Meta-example - [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsClassic Lenonjayce Stallord and Patricia Hackman]] may have created some of the Gespenst's more famous attacks, but before ''Original Generation'' was released, the machine was largely forgotten by ''Super Robot Wars'' players. When [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Kai Kitamura]] makes his debut in the games, who demonstrates why the Gespenst isn't a simple {{Mook}} unit, fan reception to the mech, largely due to Kai's {{Memetic Badass}}ery with the machine, gave it a well-deserved bump back up on par with other units like the SRX and Dygenguard. By the ''Second Original Generation'', the Gespenst is as easily recognizable as some of players' favorite units throughout the franchise.
** {{Irony}} ensues InUniverse: TheFederation originally intended to scrap the Gespenst in favor of the cost-efficient, mass-produced Huckebein until Kai takes this further by designing a customized, mass-produced Gespenst MK II in ''Original Generation Gaiden'' on his own (with some internal support from [[Characters/CompatiHeroSeries Gilliam Yeager]]) and promoting its benefits to the higher-ups. By the ''Second Original Generation'', these Gespenst MK II Custom units are used widely by the military over the Huckebein.
* ContestWinnerCameo: [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Katina Tarask]] was the winner of a character design contest for a TradingCardGame.
* DummiedOut:
** Shouko was supposed to be a playable character since ''Original Generation Gaiden'', but time constraints forced her and the G-Thundergate to automatically combine with the Compatible Kaiser, rendering her as a sub-pilot. The fact the game's "Free Battle Mode" details her own battle quotes, with the G-Thundergate's animated attacks, proves this. Rectified by the ''Second Original Generation''.
** A player discovered unused game files related to the various Huckebeins in ''Second Original Generation''. They most likely there before the infamous lawsuit came and stopped their development. See [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmCimqMjjmA here]].
* FanTranslation: Not the Creator/{{Atlus}}-published releases or ''The Moon Dwellers'' as they were officially localized, but rather ''Original Generations'', courtesy of [[https://www.romhacking.net/translations/5817/ Kingcom]].
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Creator/ShihoKawaragi as [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationSteelDragonBattleGroup Eun Hyojin]]
** Creator/YuuAsakawa as [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsClassic Aguija]] in ''The Inspectors''
** Kousuke Okano as [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Lee Linjun]] in ''The Inspectors''
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** The plan to include [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Arteil Steinbeck]] was around since the developers were drawing up the story for the first ''Original Generation'' game. The writers even thought about adding him to ''Divine Wars'', ''Original Generations'' and ''The Inspectors''. Instead, Steinbeck is briefly mentioned in ''Original Generation Gaiden'' before appearing in-character for the ''Second Original Generation''.
** According to the animated staff for ''The Inspectors'', in episode ten, the SuperRobot "Gravilion" used by [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGenerationAntagonists Archibald Grims]] was originally going to be in the first game as an enemy unit for the Divine Crusaders, but this was dropped during development. Eventually, the developers decided to bring it into ''The Inspectors'' to showcase the Neo Divine Crusaders having access to exotic, {{Super Robot}}s other than the Valsion Custom in ''Divine Wars''.
** Due to the ending of ''Coffin of the End'', Masaki was going to pilot the "Duraxyll" in his return for ''The Moon Dwellers''. The idea was later scrapped and he continues to use the Cybuster albeit under story-specific conditions.
** By WordOfGod, [[Characters/MasouKishin Sakito Asagi]] is from the island of Hokkaido and goes to the same school as Touya and the [[Characters/SuperRobotWarsGC Akatsuki twins]], even being one of their friends. This indicates Sakito was supposed to appear in ''The Moon Dwellers'', but the developers decided not to include him; in fact, a {{Lampshade}} is hung with regards to {{Foreshadowing}} Sakito's integration in future installments - if players have Masaki in the Cybuster fight against the Lamalice {{Mook}}s, one of his {{Familiar}}s Shiro will mention Sakito by name, stating they should have brought him along.
** During an October 12, 2020 livestream with Soichiro Morizumi[[note]]The writer for ''Impact'', ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAdvance'', ''Real Robot Regiment'', ''Endless Frontier'' and ''Project X Zone''[[/note]], Terada revealed a cancelled game called ''Super Robot Wars Original Generation Begins'', a 26-scenario long digital exclusive title for the [[Platform/PlayStation3 Sony PlayStation 3]] and Platform/PlayStationVita. ''Begins'' would be a {{Prequel}} to ''The Lord of Elemental Part 1'' starring [[Characters/MasouKishin Ricardo Silvera]] and how he became a Herald to the Zamzeed, while showing his {{Familiar}}s for the first time. Shu's past and history with the Cult of Vulkruss would also be expanded upon, including his development behind the Granzon and its power source. According to Terada, the ''Begins'' proposal was axed because it focused too much on the ''Masou Kishin'' brand - that it would have misled fans into thinking it was more about ''Original Generation'' when it wasn't, especially when the latter is more popular in the overall ''Super Robot Wars'' franchise than ''Masou Kishin''.
** According to the July 7th, 2021 livestream, Terada could have worked on the another episode of the OG series after ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsT'' as it was more of a tradition to release OG games in a five-yearly basis coinciding with 5 year anniversaries, and if things went as planned, the episode would've been the GrandFinale of the current OG series/continuity (coinciding with the plot of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsAlpha 3'' looming and it having a good sense of finality for the continuity). Unfortunately, the UsefulNotes/COVID19Pandemic forced Bandai Namco's hand to forbide Terada to work on such massive task, telling him to focus on ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDD'' and ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars30'' instead for the time being.
** ''The Moon Dwellers'' was meant to set up the inclusion of ''Scramble Commander 2nd'' before presumably having those plans pushed back to a future installment, as data for protagonist Keiji Tachibana can be found in the game's code. He would've started out as a Cerberlion pilot under unknown circumstances.
** Terada mentioned in September 2023 that he toyed with the idea of a PoweredArmor-centric {{Prequel}} focused on Bian Zoldark, Kisaburo Asuma, and Lune Zoldark's unnamed mother, with the WorkingTitle ''Super Robot Wars OG: Gaia Saviors''. As the FridgeLogic and logistics of the plan settled in, however, he scuttled the project before any meaningful progress could be made.
