----
* AllStarCast: Other than all of the A-listers mentioned below in CelebrityVoiceActor, you have a lot of veteran voice acting talent in Creator/YuriLowenthal, Creator/LauraBailey, Creator/TaraPlatt, Creator/TroyBaker, Creator/NolanNorth (as himself, no less), Creator/TerrenceCCarson, Creator/SteveBlum, Creator/RobinAtkinDownes, Creator/TravisWillingham, Creator/MaxMittelman, Creator/EricaLindbeck, Creator/GregChun, Creator/JeannieTirado, and Creator/DarinDePaul among others throughout much of the series.
* AsHimself: Particularly in the third and fourth installments where we had Creator/BurtReynolds, Creator/KeithDavid, Wrestling/RoddyPiper, and North all AdamWesting as themselves.
* CelebrityVoiceActor: Plenty across the whole series.
** Creator/KeithDavid both as Julius Little in the first game, VideoGame/SaintsRow 2 and VideoGame/SaintsRowIV and also as himself in the latter game.
** Creator/DanielDaeKim as Johnny Gat throughout the entire series, even reprising him in VideoGame/AgentsOfMayhem.
** Creator/MilaKunis as Tanya Winters, though only in the first game. She would get TheOtherDarrin treatment in [=SR4=].
** The late Creator/MichaelClarkeDuncan as Benjamin King in [=SR1=]. He would be recasted by Creator/TerryCrews in his return in [=SR4=] though Duncan was set to return prior to his untimely death.
** The late Creator/DavidCarradine as William Sharp, again, in [=SR1=].
** Creator/MichaelRapaport as Troy Bradshaw in the first two games.
** Creator/ElizaDushku as Shaundi in [=SR2=]. Darrin'd by Danielle Nicolet since [=SR3=] with Jennifer Jules Hart also replacing Dushku as Shaundi's younger self from the former game in [=SR4=].
** Creator/NeilPatrickHarris as Veteran Child in VideoGame/SaintsRow2 and [=SR4=].
** Creator/JayMohr as Dane Vogel in [=SR2=] and VideoGame/SaintsRowGatOutOfHell.
** Wrestling/HulkHogan as Angel De La Muerte in VideoGame/SaintsRowTheThird.
** Sasha Grey as Viola [=DeWynter=] in [=SR3=] and Gat Out of Hell.
** Creator/NathanFillion as, well, God in Gat Out of Hell.
* ChannelHop:
** The first three titles were published by Creator/THQ, but after their bankruptcy, Volition and Saints Row were acquired by Creator/DeepSilver, who published 2013's VideoGame/SaintsRowIV and 2017's VideoGame/AgentsOfMayhem.
** In 2018, THQ Nordic would acquire Deep Silver's owner Koch Media, putting Volition and the series back into the THQ... if only in name, as it's still a completely different company that uses the THQ trademark for business purposes.
** And then they'd go from Deep Silver to Creator/GearboxSoftware sometime after the reboot's release in late 2022, though any remaining DLC for the latter is to be published by Deep Silver, any project that Volition makes from the reboot onwards (Saints Row or no) will now be published by Gearbox.
* ProductionNickname: During development, The Protagonist was named Mikey, but was pronounced as "Mickey". Fans decided to go with that name when needed to refer to a Male Boss by name (For the Female Boss, they use Michelle).
* PromotedFanboy: Famous modder [=IdolNinja=], creator of the popular "Gentlemen of the Row" mod (which fixed many of the issues with the PC port of [=SR2=]), eventually got hired by Volition.
* SequelGap: The reboot released on August 23rd, 2022, a whole nine years after VideoGame/SaintsRowIV, which released in 2013.
* WorkingTitle: Bling-Bling. It gets a MythologyGag in the form of a store of the same name in the first two games.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The original Beta trailer for the first game depicted the Saints as wearing green. Word is that, following the release of San Andreas, they were switched to purple to avoid accusations of the Saints being imitations or ripoffs of the Grove Street Families. YMMV on whether or not the Saints sharing a color with the GSF's main rival, the Ballas, is either a TakeThat or HilariousInHindsight.
