3	* CastTheRunnerUp: Nancy De Mayo was originally cast as Ashley. She would play a minor character named Jenny Hunter in "Cars Attacks."

5	** There was a dispute between Jonathan Tzachor and story editor Doug Sloan about the tone of the series - the former wanted to embrace the comedic elements of the source material, and the latter wanted to make a serious story. Judd Lynn's thoughts were similar to those of Tzachor's, but suppose that Sloan had been on board with playing up the comedic elements from the get-go or Judd Lynn had been on board since day 1. What would the season have turned out like then?
6	** Creator/TonyOliver didn’t care for the series moving away from the campy "live-action cartoon" direction that he enjoyed about it when Lynn took the reigns. He felt the show was getting too grounded and moved on to produce some direct-to-video projects for Saban. He was also against the concept of having a preteen kid (Justin) be a ranger as he felt it too pandering. Most fans agree on the latter, but considering the former led the franchise [[GrowingTheBeard growing]] into more mature storylines to which is mostly still in the present day…
7	* CreatorBacklash: Johnny Yong Bosch loves to joke about how awful his hair was in this season. Although he still had long hair for his ''In Space'' appearance, he's kept it short ever since.
8	* DawsonCasting: Downplayed with 20-year-olds Roger Velasco and Selwyn Ward, but just barely played straight with 21-year-old Tracy Lynn Cruz and 22-year-old Patricia Ja Lee.
9	* EnforcedMethodActing: Everyone except Jason David Frank had some mixed feeling during the filming of The Power Transfer.
10	* ExecutiveMeddling: Jason David Frank had considered leaving the show during ''Zeo'', but the producers asked him to stay on for the first half of ''Turbo'' with a reduced role until they found a replacement. Catherine Sutherland then announced she wanted to leave as well, so the producers decided to just completely reboot the entire cast (save for Blake Foster as Justin). The problem is ''they didn't tell Johnny Yong Bosch or Nakia Burrise about this''. Both of them found out from gossiping hair and make-up people on set.
11	* FakeNationality: Cassie's last name is Chan, which is primarily Chinese or Vietnamese. Patricia Ja Lee is Korean. Although it's not impossible for a Korean-American to be called Chan, the more likely Korean variant is Chen.
12	* FollowTheLeader: The decision to have a twelve-year-old as a Power Ranger was made due to [[Creator/SabanEntertainment Saban's]] success with ''Series/BigBadBeetleborgs''.

14	** Divatox. She was portrayed by Hilary Shepard Turner in TheMovie, but while she was on maternity leave, she was subsequently replaced by Carol Hoyt in the television series for the first half of the series. During the second half of the season, Turner reprised her role, continuing well enough into ''Series/PowerRangersInSpace''. The change in actresses between the film and the show also brought about a change in costume and personality. Divatox's costume in the film was much more revealing and exposed a lot of cleavage, while her costume in the show was a little more covered up. Hoyt's Divatox was more calculating and evil while Turner portrayed Divatox as more of a hysterical diva.
15	** Her brother General Havoc, has a voice change in his second appearance "One Last Hope", being voiced by Tom Wyner instead of his main actor Creator/RichardCansino. The two voices sound nothing alike, yet oddly enough, Wyner is the one who is credited on most sites as Havoc's main voice.
16	* TheOtherMarty: According to Tracy Lynn Cruz, another actress was cast as Cassie but was let go after a week of conditioning, and replaced with Patricia Ja Lee.
17	* PromotedFanboy: Blake Foster was a huge fan of the show and was absolutely thrilled when he was offered the part of the Blue Ranger. Even at Power Morphicon in 2010, he said that being a Power Ranger was every kid's dream and that he kept his helmet and costume.
18	* PropRecycling: Metal Mangler used parts from two unused monster costumes. Keris (a ''Ohranger'' monster never adapted in ''Zeo'') and Ballinger Z (which was never even used in ''Carranger'').
19	* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Rocky was supposed to be in this season too. But Steve Cardenas revealed in a 2021 interview with the ''Power Rangers Playback'' channel (hosted by Catherine Sutherland and Nakia Burrise) that he had gone to the producers and attempted to negotiate better pay for all the cast members - especially since it was going to be their last season with Jason David Frank and Catherine Sutherland. The producers disagreed, and he left the show; agreeing to appear in the movie and a couple of episodes so they could write him out.
20	* ThrowItIn: Hilary Shepard's improvised most of Divatox's lines, including “Viva la Diva!!”
21	** Justin screwing up the transformation pose in the movie was Blake Foster’s idea, which the rest of the crew loved enough to keep in.

23	* TroubledProduction: Producer Jonathan Tzachor wanted to embrace the source footage ''Series/GekisouSentaiCarranger''[='=]s slapstick comedy and then story editor Doug Sloan wanted to continue ''Series/PowerRangersZeo''[='=]s more serious bent of the franchise growing up. This led to severe MoodWhiplash, like Divatox planting bombs that the Rangers needed to deactivate before they blow up and kill people while having goofy concepts like Tommy reading the new zords' instruction manual. Eventually, Doug Sloan left and was replaced with Judd Lynn right when it came time to jettison the old cast (minus Justin) and replace them with a new cast. As Judd Lynn was in agreement on playing closer to ''Carranger''[='=]s comedy, the product became a lot more cohesive in the show's second half.
24	* UnfinishedEpisode: An unfilmed episode, titled "Rangers in Concert", originally planned to be the mid-season finale, was set to focus on a number of characters. This would have included: Carlos, whose surname was originally "Chavez", who would have become the Red Ranger; Ashley, originally "Missy", who would have become the Pink Ranger; Lt. Stone's niece from "Cars Attack", Jenny Hunter (originally called "Ashley"), who would have become the Yellow Ranger; and Tanya's KAGV intern and clear T.J. prototype, Michael, who would have become the Green Ranger. Said episode was also to have the Blue Senturion show the current Power Rangers - who would've fought Rockin' Roach - the full Millennium Message, allowing them to know who their replacements would be in "Passing the Torch".
