Context Trivia / NinpuuSentaiHurricaneger

Go To

* BonusEpisode: ''[[Recap/NinpuuSentaiHurricanegerSuperVideoSuperNinjaAndSuperKuroko Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger Super Video: Super Ninja and Super Kuroko]]'' was released with an issue of TV Magazine.
* ComicBookAdaptation: Hong Kong manhwa magazine ''Co-Co!'' had produced a manhwa adaptation of the series, with the plot mainly centered around TheMovie. It was later attempted to be published in English through their Singapore branch under the name ''Series/PowerRangersNinjaStorm'', but was shortly put on hiatus allegedly due to difficulties in exporting the manhwa using the ''Power Rangers'' counterpart character names[[note]]One glaring issue was naming Oboro Hinata as ''Cam Watanabe''(it helped that the mangaka drew Oboro rather androgynously), but ''Cam'' would have to eventually show up as the Green Samurai Ranger, who is a completely seperate character in ''Hurricaneger''. [[NoExportForYou The English localisation of the manhwa had never reached this point]].[[/note]].
* FriendshipOnTheSet: The main cast in general are close friends in real life, a particular case is with Nao Nagasawa (Nanami's actress) being friends with Mio Fukuzumi enough that she's been able to convince her fellow actress to return for the [[Film/NinpuuSentaiHurricaneger10YearsAfter 10 Year After]] anniversary special.
* NoExportForYou: Neither this, nor its western counterpart ''Series/PowerRangersNinjaStorm'', were dubbed in Korea. The common speculation is that both series were skipped because depictions of ninjas are culturally taboo in Korea. In reality, when the decision was made to dub ''Super Sentai'' in Korea over ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' (as they have been doing since ''Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers''), they skipped to ''Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger'' since ''Super Sentai'' is at least a year ahead of ''Power Rangers''. Ninjas are not as taboo in Korea as Samurais are, which is why ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' airs there without any problem.
** Then again, when it came time to find a replacement for the very taboo ''Series/SamuraiSentaiShinkenger'', ''Hurricaneger'' was skipped again in favor of the one before it, ''Gaoranger''.
*** Despite the fact its counterpart Series/PowerRangersWildForce had already been dubbed!
*** Yet curiously enough, [[Series/ShurikenSentaiNinninger the next Ninja themed series]] WOULD get dubbed in South Korea.
** MarthDebutedInSmashBros: Hurricaneger is included in the ''[[Series/KaizokuSentaiGokaiger Gokaiger]]'' dub, [[MarketBasedTitle Power Rangers Captain Force]].
* NoStuntDouble: In the case of Creator/NaoNagasawa. According [[http://diversejapan.com/2012/02/05/exclusive-interview-nao-nagasawa-actress-singer-and-idol-super-sentai-and-kamen-rider-heroine/ to this interview]], she was fitted with her own outfit and performed at the very least, her own fight scenes, possibly more.
* RealLifeRelative: Kohei Yamamoto (Kouta) and Azusa Yamamoto (Furabijo) are siblings.
* RoleReprise: Creator/HironoriMiyata narrated ''Series/GoseiSentaiDairanger'' in 1993 and reprised that role again nine years later.
* StarMakingRole: Creator/NaoNagasawa becomes a household name thanks to this series, especially in the {{Toku}} genre.
