----
* AbilityOverAppearance: Despite being clearly too old to play teenagers even in the first season[[note]]At the start, Paul was 23 and Jason was nearing 20, and looked their ages[[/note]] Paul Schrier and Jason Narvy are so perfectly cast as Bulk & Skull that no one really minds.
* AccentDepundent: "Rita's Pita" only works if those two words rhyme.
* ActingForTwo:
** All of the Ranger actors, at some point, played either an evil twin, an ancestor, or both. Paul Schrier also played a couple of monsters during the course of the series. Squatt's voice actor, Michael Sorich, provided voices for various monsters of the week.
** In the French dub, Zordon, Goldar, and Tommy are all voiced by the same guy [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Poivey Patrick Poivey]].
* ActorSharedBackground: Trini, in the comics, has lived on different military bases throughout life, due to her father's work. Thuy Trang's father was an army officer as well.
* BeamMeUpScotty:
** Creator/JohnnyYongBosch has said that people are always asking him to say "[[TotallyRadical Morphenomenal]]." Adam ''never'' said that during the show, that kind of slang was phased out before the end of the first season while Adam didn't show up until the middle of the second season. He would eventually say it years later in the [[Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive "Once A Ranger"]] ReunionShow.
** Despite what you’d think, Rita only ever says "Magic wand, make my monster grow!" five times. She frequently uses other words in that chant, or often just says something completely different.
** Zigzagged with Zordon's RecruitTeenagersWithAttitude. While the opening does have him say "Recruit a team of Power Rangers with attitude," in the show he says "teleport to us five overbearing and overemotional humans," with no mention of teenagers until Alpha says it.
* BlindIdiotTranslation: Not in the show itself, but because of the country's low English proficiency (it has barely reached 57% as of 2023, according to some studies) Greek media and parents thought that the Rangers' catchphrase "It's morphin time!" was encouraging their children to do drugs ("Morphine" and "morphing" sound very similar) and that the company was in the drug dealing business, causing parents and teachers alike to take away ''Power Rangers'' toys and watches. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g89D88fgFVk Proof]].
* CaliforniaDoubling: The Command Center, the Power Rangers' millennia-old headquarters created by Zordon in an undisclosed mountainous area near what would eventually become Angel Grove, California, is The House of the Book performance hall and library building at the American Jewish University, Brandeis-Bardin Campus in Simi Valley, California. It's shown up in quite a few other productions, including ''Film/StarTrekVITheUndiscoveredCountry'', as the main building at Camp Khitomer.
* TheCastShowoff:
** Probably the most memorable examples would be Kimberly's gymnastics, for sheer longevity, but also her singing and guitar playing, Zack's singing and dancing, and a fair amount of Trini, Jason, Tommy, Rocky, and Adam's martial arts.
** Not to mention that David Yost (Billy) was actually a talented gymnast, so his "bad" unmorphed fighting falls squarely into [[IronyAsSheIsCast Irony As He Is Cast]].
** Not to mention Bulk and Skull [[WhatTheFuAreYouDoing trying]] ''[[WhatTheFuAreYouDoing way]]'' [[WhatTheFuAreYouDoing too hard]].
* CastTheRunnerUp:
** Jason Narvy (Skull) auditioned for Billy.
** Creator/WalterEmanuelJones (Zack) also went in reading for Billy but changed tunes when he saw that playing Zack would be more attuned to his skillset.
** Creator/JasonDavidFrank (Tommy) went in to audition for Jason Lee Scott but didn't make the cut.
** Creator/DavidYost auditioned for Jason. He decided that he didn't look like a leader (despite being the oldest in the cast) and took the role of Billy.
** Minor example; Aaron Atinsky auditioned for Billy and made it to the final pair of casts, but lost out to Yost. Aaron was brought back in as Bobby, the Blue Dark Ranger, for Season Two's "Green No More".[[note]]Funny enough, Aaron played a different character named Billy in the 1993 movie ''Buford's Beach Bunnies''.[[/note]]
* CharacterOutlivesActor: Thuy Trang, the actress who played Trini, the original Yellow Ranger in ''Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers,'' left the cast and died in a car accident several years later. While not addressed on screen, production materials of the ''Series/PowerRangersBeastMorphers'' anniversary special (aired in 2020) indicated that the Yellow Ranger there was considered Trini. While the only returning actor from Mighty Morphin' was Austin St. John's Jason, meaning he was the only Ranger not getting the FakeShemp treatment, this is probably as close to confirmation as we're likely to get that Trini is still alive in the Power Rangers universe, even if Thuy Trang is no longer with us. The 30th anniversary reunion special, ''Film/MightyMorphinPowerRangersOnceAndAlways'', confirms that Trini died in 2022, heroically sacrificing her life to save Billy.
** With Jason David Frank's death in 2022, it remains to be seen how the series will handle that given in Zeo we saw him in flashforward as a much older man. While Tommy does appear in ''Once & Always'', archive audio was used for him as Jason declined to appear in it anyway, so his fate still remains a mystery.
* CostumeBacklash:
** Creator/AustinStJohn was a modest 18-year-old when he was cast as Jason and was left agog when he saw the Red Ranger suit at first ("I'm not a fan of red, to begin with"). Although he ended up being surprised at how good it made his figure look once it was put on, he also noticed how it left him very little modesty down below...
--> "I was eighteen, I was like 'my momma always said I should cover these things up'...they were like 'we need you to put on these ballet pants' and I'm like 'BALLET PANTS!? What are you trying to do to me!'"
** Karan Ashley had similar reactions to the Yellow Ranger suit, not least because she was merely given Thuy Trang's old castoff when she left the show, and had to wear three layers of socks to fit into the boots. The cold temperatures inside the set also necessitated a lot of bandaids to keep it [[NippleAndDimed a family show]].
** Inverted with the episode "Lions And Blizzards", right after the monster-induced storm begins, Billy and Trini walk into the juice bar wearing raincoats. Thuy Trang really took a liking to her raincoat, calling it "cute" and wanted to wear it for the entire scene and the command center scene. She was none too happy that her suggestion was shot down and that she had to take it off immediately after entering the juice bar.
* CreatorBacklash:
** Austin St. John, Walter Jones and Thuy Trang campaigned for a pay increase since the show's popularity [[SleeperHit exceeded all expectations]], and walked off when their demands weren't met. They did generally remain on good terms with the cast and production team, with John and Jones [[RoleReprise returning to the show at different times]].
** Though very proud of her role as Aisha, Karan Ashley has spoken negatively about how her departure was handled. She was promised a 10-episode arc but the show instead let her go after the cast was turned into children.
** While Steve Cardenas liked his time on the show, he's not too fond of his performance during his early tenure as Rocky since he had no prior acting experience. It's noticeable during the last few episodes with him onscreen that his performance improved going into ''Zeo''.
* CreatorsFavoriteEpisode:
** Creator/AmyJoJohnson's favorite was "Bloom of Doom", while Walter Jones' favorite was "Happy Birthday, Zack".
** Austin St. John's is the first pilot version of "Day of the Dumpster" which he described as his genesis.
** Creator/DavidYost has several favorites namely "Food Fight", "Power Ranger Punks", "Peace, Love, and Woe", and "Switching Places".
** Steve Cardenas liked "Rocky Just Wants to Have Fun", although, [[DownplayedTrope at the same time]], he admits that he didn't care for his performance in hindsight.
** Karan Ashley's were "Where There's Smoke, There's Fire" and "Wild West Rangers".
* TheDanza:
** Catherine Sutherland as Katherine Hillard, [[SpellMyNameWithAnS though only by proxy.]]
** An ironic case. Jason Geiger earned the StageName Austin St. John (inspired by ''Series/TheSixMillionDollarMan'') as his agency thought it wasn't a strong name... and he ended up playing a badass called Jason, though the character's name was originally Victor as a holdover from the Bioman pilot. According to Tommy's actor Jason David Frank, however, it was due to a disagreement the two had when they first met backstage.
** Scorpina's disguise in "Goldar's Vice-Versa" was named Sabrina. The name of the actress who played her in the American footage was Sabrina Lu. However, Sabrina (the actress) stated that this was '''NOT''' intentional.
** Jacob Anderson in the three-part "The Ninja Encounter" is played by Jacob Frank, JDF's son from his first marriage.
** Young Billy Cranston was played in a flashback in "Something Fishy" by future E! News journalist Billy Nilles.
* DawsonCasting: Do you honestly know any high schoolers that look that old? Well, out of the original five, Austin St John was 18 and Thuy Trang was 19, but Creator/WalterEmanuelJones and Creator/AmyJoJohnson were 22, and Creator/DavidYost was 24. It would have been much more believable if their characters were written as college students, especially since they act far more like college students than high schoolers.
** The second season wasn't as bad, but still fairly noticeable. Of the four (including Kat) replacements, Creator/JohnnyYongBosch was 18, Karan Ashley was 19, Steve Cardenas was 20, and Catherine Sutherland was also 20. Add in the remaining 2, and you get another 20-year-old (Jason) and a 25-year-old (David). Before Kat, however, Amy was 23 and still on the show.
** It wasn't just the Rangers who suffered from this. Bulk and Skull were played by actors aged 23 and 19, respectively. [[http://www.rovang.org/wiki/bulk-and-skull.jpg It showed.]]
** Because of the DawsonCasting, many believe that Gabrielle Fitzpatrick's character "Dulcea" from the movie is meant to look like a teenager, because she was 27 at the time, around the age of the rest of the "teenagers".
* DescendedCreator: Not Austin St. John, but Jason's morphed voiceover in Season Two was done by one of the producers at Saban, Paul Rosenthal. Rosenthal's take was...[[LargeHam even more unique]] than Austin's to say the least.
* DirectedByCastMember: A few episodes were directed by Paul Schrier (Bulk).
* DirectToVideo: ''Alpha's Magical Christmas'', ''Lord Zedd's Monster Heads'' and ''The Good, the Bad and the Stupid: The Misadventures of Bulk & Skull''.
* DuelingDubs: In Latin America the first 32 episodes we're originally dubbed in 1993 (alongside the rest of the first season) on Mexico by Audiomaster 3000. In 2012 when the 2010 Re-Version of Disney of the first 32 epiosdes was added to Netflix, rather than re-using the 90's dub, Saban comissioned a new dub on Mexico by SDI Media. While both dubs have of the same actors, only Herman López reprises his role as Finster on the new dub.
* EditedForSyndication: Episodes aired in Malaysia infamously had all occurrences of the word ''morphin'' bleeped and airbrushed out. It's an embarrassing long story caused by some [[MoralGuardians local soccer moms]]...
* FakeNationality: Trini Kwan is half Taiwanese and half Korean. Thuy Trang was entirely Vietnamese.
* FakeAustralian: Australian-born Katherine's child self is played by American-born actress Julia Jordan, which ends up being unfortunately obvious from [[OohMeAccentsSlipping her voice]].
* HeAlsoDid: Both Haim Saban and Shuki Levy composed music for animated shows produced by Creator/DICEntertainment.
** Levy co-wrote the Hakol Over Habibi song "Halayah", which was the Israeli entry for the 1981 Series/EurovisionSongContest, where they finished seventh.
* HostilityOnTheSet:
** The series originated a conflict between Austin St. John and Creator/JasonDavidFrank. Exact details vary, ranging from personality clashes to arguments over [[CastTheExpert their personal martial arts credentials]]. The severity of the conflict has gone up and down, they seemed fine appearing with each other for various reunion episodes and publicity opportunities, but notably seemed to avoid doing convention panels together. This, unfortunately, went darker as [[LoonyFan a man was arrested at the Phoenix Comic Con]] trying to carry weapons inside, claiming to be targeting Frank (among others) due to this rumored feud. Frank himself made a public statement afterward about the need for safety at the conventions as well as putting to rest the stories of the feud. In the 2020s however, Austin St John alleged that the whole cast was going to walk out in protest of the low pay, but Frank "stabbed us in the back" and convinced David Yost and Amy Jo Johnson to stay; supposedly after negotiating his character becoming TheLeader.
** Creator/DavidYost was bullied by the production crew for being gay and this ultimately resulted in him leaving the show.
* LyingCreator: In a roundabout way. The popular fandom rumor that Lokar appeared in the Bloom of Doom battle via stock footage to use his breath of doom on the Bloom of Doom to create "[=DeBloom=]" was started by Amit Bhaumik, who, while he didn't work on MMPR, was the story editor for ''Series/PowerRangersWildForce''. This rumor was debunked once and for all when Stunt Coordinator and editor Jeff Pruitt revealed uncut [=Zyu2=] footage which revealed not only the Bloom of Doom (not Debloom) fight with Megazord and the lack of Lokar but that the [=Zyu2=] footage didn't even feature stock footage (instead black screens appears to allow Saban to fill in with stock footage). The part about Bloom fighting the Megazord and Dragonzord ''was'' true, however.
* MissingEpisode:
** The original {{Pilot}} was advertised and presented as such on Fox Kids. Notable changes include the casting of the Yellow Ranger as Audri [=DuBois=] as opposed to Thuy Trang, Zordon being known as "Zoltar", and the Zords being referred to as "Droids". There's also a second variation of the official pilot, which Tony Oliver shows exclusively at conventions.
** The original [=Zyu2=] footage. From all accounts, it seems that the original masters were edited over with footage of the ''Dairanger'' mechs. Though not all of it: starting in 2014, [[http://youtu.be/91BoKNRb2uY Zyu2 footage from Season 2 started getting releases]].
* OnSetInjury:
** In "Switching Places", the pyrotechnics used in Billy's brain-switching machine had caused both Creator/AmyJoJohnson and Creator/DavidYost to accidentally catch on fire while filming the scene. Amy Jo would later be wary of being too close to such special effects equipment because of the accident.
** Thuy Trang filmed the second season for about eight weeks with a high ankle sprain. In one episode, she sits on the bench while the others play football.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** Zordon was voiced by David Fielding until "The Yolk's on You!", when Bob Manahan took over from "A Star is Born" onward. Fielding grew to dislike the environment in L.A. and moved back to the east coast which is why Manahan was brought in, but it's worth noting that Fielding's appearance was always used for Zordon. The switch-off is notably different: Fielding used a Mid-Atlantic accent based on his interpretation of Greek god Zeus in an attempt to make Zordon sound like a wise father-figure mentor. Several toy commercials, while still using Feilding's likeness, opted to use Creator/NeilRoss for vocal duties instead, sounding not unlike his take on Howard Stark in ''WesternAnimation/IronManTheAnimatedSeries''.
** Rita in Season One was always StockFootage from ''Zyuranger'', but in Season Two Carla Perez took over the role to appear in American footage while Creator/BarbaraGoodson still provided her voice. Similarly, Scorpina "Goldar's Vice Versa" returned, played by Sabrina Lu but still dubbed over by Creator/WendeeLee.
** Lord Zedd was voiced by Creator/RobertAxelrod in the series, [[spoiler: and by Creator/SteveBlum in the 2007 Playstation 2 video game ''Power Rangers: Super Legends'']]. Goldar was similarly replaced by Creator/NolanNorth instead of Kerrigan Mahan reprising.
** Young Billy was first played by [[TheDanza Billy Nilles]] in Season One's "Something Fishy" whereas, in Seasons Two and Three, he was played by Justin Timsit.
** The Monsters of the Week were usually good at avoiding this but it still crept up every now and then.
* TheOtherMarty:
** Audri [=DuBois=] was originally cast as Trini in the original pilot. Footage recycled for the official series still shows her with the group leaving the command center and reacting to an explosion.
** Skull was originally played by a stuntman called Bobby Vavla, not Jason Narvy; while he was not named in the pilot, his biker attire and crush in Kimberly identify him as the same character. However, Bulk and Skull's personalities were reversed in the pilot.
** Finster's voice was provided by Creator/SteveKramer (who would later voice [[Series/PowerRangersInSpace Darkonda]]) instead of Creator/RobertAxelrod who would voice him in the series proper. On a minor note, King Sphinx's (known in the pilot as Fly Guy) single line was provided by Tony Oliver (voice of Saba) instead of Richard Cansino who voiced him in "A Pressing Engagement".
** Creator/BradHawkins was originally cast to be the White Ranger when Creator/JasonDavidFrank was filming the pilot for ''Cybertron'' (which became ''Series/VRTroopers''). The plan was that after a few episodes of the White Ranger appearing, Brad's character would take off the helmet and reveal himself - these episodes had ADR work done. At the last second, before he was fitted for costumes and filming began, the producers came to him and gave him the choice of either being the White Ranger or the lead on ''VR Troopers''. Hawkins jumped at the chance to have his own show rather than be "another color".
* ThePeteBest:
** Audri [=DuBois=] was originally cast as Trini and played the character for the pilot episode, only to be replaced by Thuy Trang for the series. According to WordOfGod, she asked for more money, and was fired for this reason.
** Brad Hawkins was originally set to play the White Ranger, who was originally intended to be a new character. Creator/JasonDavidFrank was intended to be given his own starring series for ''Series/VRTroopers'' (and had shot the pilot episode), but due to Tommy's immense popularity on ''Power Rangers'' was instead written back on the show as the White Ranger. Hawkins was then given the lead role in ''Series/VRTroopers'', and later voiced the Gold Ranger in ''Series/PowerRangersZeo'' before his identity was revealed (played by different actors).
* PopCultureUrbanLegends: The long-persisting rumors of Lokar appearing during the unaired Bloom of Doom Zord battle were finally put to rest when stunt coordinator Jeff Pruitt released the unaired [=Zyu2=] footage in February 2014.
* PostScriptSeason: Season 1 after "Doomsday". It was supposed to end with the Rangers sealing Rita away again and is why Tommy makes a [[TheCameo cameo]] appearance at the end. Most of the rest of the season was new footage commissioned by Saban and filmed by Toei specifically for ''Power Rangers'', consisting mostly of just costume and zord action footage. By season two Saban was filming all costumed footage and was just using zord footage.
* PropRecycling: Old monster suits were often reused and altered in some fashion to create new monsters.
** Mr. Ticklesneezer was painted blue and dressed in a SantaClaus-like outfit to become Grumble the Elf (who was more of a friendly elf creature rather than an evil monster - but then, so was Mr. Ticklesneezer).
** Snizard was painted gray and given a cobra hood to become the Cobra Monster in ''Series/PowerRangersLightspeedRescue''.
** Chunky Chicken had his feathers plucked and had armor and a helmet added to become Turkey Jerk.
** Grumble Bee had his red sections painted silver and was given buck teeth to become Waspicable (a peaceful monster who didn't want to harm anybody) in ''Series/PowerRangersInSpace''.
** Pirantis Head, Robogoat, and Turbanshell were repainted and had a bunch of crap added to them to become random alien monsters in an episode of ''Series/PowerRangersTurbo''.
** Primator was painted whitish and had extra fur added to him to become the yeti-like Snow Monster.
** Salaguana was chopped into little bits and used as reptilian armor for Tritor, a heroic alien warrior from ''Series/PowerRangersZeo''.
** Silver Horns was painted green and had a tongue added (which is odd since he didn't really have a mouth) to become Repellator.
** The Wizard of Deception's rat monsters were actually leftover, unused suits from the movie that were replaced by the Oozemen.
** Inciserator was made up of the head of an unused ''[[Series/NinjaSentaiKakuranger Kakuranger]]'' monster and the body from Merrick the Barbaric (whose own episode hadn't even aired yet).
** Tube Monster was actually Pipebrain painted white and blue with some slight alterations to the arm and head (although this one actually came ''Series/GoseiSentaiDairanger'', not MMPR).
* RealLifeRelative: Creator/JasonDavidFrank's real-life son Jacob played the son of Rocky, Adam, and Aisha's Stone Canyon teacher whom Bulk and Skull looked after during "The Ninja Encounter" 3-parter.
* RecycledScript: Two episodes in season three have the villains accidentally create a monster that can transform the Rangers into an object that ties into its theme. The monster proceeds to change every Ranger except Rocky into one and Rocky has to change them all back. Making it even more obvious is that the episodes were ''produced and aired back to back''.
* ReferencedBy: In the ''WesternAnimation/MollyOfDenali'' episode "Little Dog Lost," [[https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/molly-of-denali/images/9/9d/Screenshot_2019-07-29-09-36-36.png/revision/latest?cb=20190729134804 Tooey has what appears to be a figure of this show's Red Ranger in his room]].
* ScheduleSlip:
** The ABC re-versioning had the Green with Evil 5-episode miniseries lasting over two months because sports always pre-empted the show. And then the UsefulNotes/FIFAWorldCup put the show on hiatus for yet another month.
** The last four episodes were pre-empted on the West Coast for Little League. They couldn't be shown at a later date, because Nickelodeon took over the broadcast rights before the episodes could be re-scheduled.
* ScienceMarchesOn: The Tyrannosaurus Dinozord has an outdated "kangaroo" upright stance.
* SimilarlyNamedWorks: ''Animation/NoonboryAndTheSuper7'' and ''WesternAnimation/{{Rugrats}}'' both also have an episode titled "Opposites Attract".
* SuppressedMammaries:
** Kimberly is noticeably more endowed than her sentai counterpart when wearing the outfit. In American-only footage, the Pink Ranger even in helmet fills out said outfit, especially around the chest, more compared to the Japanese footage.
** While Thuy Trang was not exceptionally well-endowed, her counterpart in the Japanese series was male, so small bulge beats completely flat.
* TechnologyMarchesOn: One episode had the teacher mistaking Tommy's communicator beeping with a pager. Nowadays, the only people who still use pagers are doctors and other hospital personnel.
* TroubledProduction:
** Season 1 hit its troubles when it turned out the series was more ''popular'' than anticipated. So when Fox Kids ordered an additional 20 episodes for Season 1, Saban asked TOEI to make new fight footage from ''Zyuranger'' exclusively for ''Power Rangers'', known to fans as [=Zyu2=], due to ''Zyuranger'' footage being exhausted (even so, they made three episodes which recycled a lot of already used footage in a different context to kill time until they got the [=Zyu2=] stuff as well an additional episode from previously unused Zyu footage). Tommy was also so popular they decided to bring back the Green Ranger, having to juggle a lot of original footage to make it work. What's more is that the entire production was non-union, meaning Haim Saban could get away with underpaying the entire cast (who were doing their own stunts on about $600 a week). Despite the billions of dollars made by the franchise, none of the cast got any royalties from their likenesses being used on merchandise.
** Season 2 had it even worse. The original plan was to do even more exclusive footage for ''Power Rangers'' and introduce upgraded Dinozords. But the show was built around the {{Frankenslation}} and they were hoping for a modest success and move on to another Sentai with another cast the next year to keep costs down. As a compromise it was decided to just adapt ''Dairanger'''s monster and zord footage while creating a new villain and using ''Zyuranger'' costumes in American footage. But the last ten episodes spilled over to Season 2, which created a new problem with timing the switch from season 1 to season 2 and introducing new zords to get the toys on the shelves in time for the holidays. So they hacked the ''Dairanger'' mecha footage prematurely, resulting in zord battle footage being spliced from two different sources. The mecha from ''Dairanger'' would launch an attack and then cut to footage of the [=Zyu2=] monster taking the hit and vice-versa. After the [=Zyu2=] footage was bled dry the issue shifted where the monsters came from ''Dairanger'' but the monster costumes were unusable for American footage in ''Zyuranger'' costumes, so most of the ground fights were Rangers fighting Z-putties with the ''Dairanger'' monster barking orders in isolated footage before [[MakeMyMonsterGrow the monster would grow for the Zord battle]].
*** To top it off, Austin St. John, Thuy Trang, and Walter Jones left halfway through Season 2 due to contract disputes with the producers and during the interim of writing the replacements into the show, the production team had to use stand ins and recycled footage from earlier episodes to make it seem like the departed cast members were still on the show until they were able to write them out.
** When production ran longer than expected for the movie, the TV series production was forced to film in Australia, leading to heavy use of stock footage for scenes that required sets they couldn't access at the time, such as the Command Center.
* UncreditedRole: Throughout the show, the end credits were mostly the same for the whole season. As a result, recurring characters were often credited in episodes they don't appear in (Scorpina, for example, is credited for the whole of Season 1, despite not appearing until episode 19). But it also meant that guest stars were almost never credited. This means that there are dozens of one-off guest actors whose identities are unknown to us, as they were never credited.
* UnfinishedEpisode:
** "Goldar's Vice-Versa" wasn't going to be Scorpina's last appearance, as there were plans for her to return later in Season 2 (in a 3-parter entitled "Zordon, I Shrunk the Rangers"), complete with confirmation that she and Goldar were indeed dating. However, due to the filming of the movie by 20th Century Fox going over schedule, they had to dump some episodes, including the three-parter. The episode would have seen the return of Nimrod the Scarlet Sentinel and her assistants, AC and DC. The trio still had plenty of usable Sentai footage, including a scene where DC fights the Thunder Megazord on her own. This also would've made Nimrod and co. the only [[Series/GoseiSentaiDairanger Dairanger]] monsters to be revived as one of Zedd and Rita's "best monsters of the past".
** Another scrapped episode from season two was "Party Crasher", where Zedd makes a monster out of a precious vase belonging to Aisha's parents.
* UrbanLegendOfZelda: Downplayed. While the guess that Bloom of Doom had a zord battle turned out to be true, the part about her turning into "Debloom" and being assisted by Lokar wasn't true. Zig-zagged with other Zyu2 footage episodes, Invenusable Flytrap did indeed have a zord battle, Primitor was destroyed by the Ultrazord, and Pirantishead did use his puppeteering skills as a giant. However, Turbanshell and Pirantished were not associated with each other, and Stag Beetle's battle was unrelated to the aforementioned two. There were, however, scenes cut showing Stag Beetle taking damage, his pincers being chopped off in a far less dignified fashion, Octophantom tying the rangers to crucifix-like structures, getting hit with the Power Blaster, and other such things nobody would have guessed. Robogoat was also hit with the Power Blaster as was Primitor, both survived. Robogoat's zord battle wasn't as exciting as expected (the energy blasts weren't as devestating as shown in the final cut).
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: [[WhatCouldHaveBeen/PowerRangers Enough for its own page]]
* WorkingTitle: In the development stage, the series was called ''Phantoms'' and ''Dino Rangers''. Though Phantoms appeared to be a working title that was never meant to be anything but a working title. ''Dino Rangers'' was ditched during the shooting of the first pilot, because Haim Saban knew other seasons to follow wouldn't have dinosaurs. The MMPR name was cooked up in the dining area of the bowling alley in the said pilot.
* YouLookFamiliar:
** Series writer Doug Sloan played Kimberly's Uncle Steve in "Foul Play in the Sky" and her mother's new boyfriend in "Return of an Old Friend". It's somewhat popular in fanon that they're the same person and Kimberly's mother left him for his brother. (As a side note, he also played Tyler Steele in the above-mentioned ''Cybertron'' pitch reel.)
** Creator/OgieBanks was used as an extra several times in crowd shots in the Juice Bar during Season One before he was cast in Season Two's "Green No More" as Zane, the Black Dark Ranger.
** Timothy Guest, who most prominently played Mr. Hank Anderson in Season Two's "The Ninja Encounter", previously played Monty Conte in Season One's "Trick or Treat" and in the season's final episode, "An Oyster Stew", as a putty patroller who disguises himself as an old salesman to trick Zack into "buying" the titular pearls.
** Rajia Baroudi played a museum curator called Azina in Season Three before becoming White Aquitar Ranger Delphine in the Alien Rangers saga.
** Everyone who's seen Goo Fish's debut in reruns has noticed that [[Creator/RobertAxelrod he sounds like Lord Zedd]].
