* AmateurCast: Zig-zagged in the Latin American Spanish dub of the pilot: While the dub features many rookie voice actors, it also include some long-time veterans, including Ricardo Bautista (Rocky), Creator/DesireeGonzalez (Ivy), Creator/EduardoGarza (Horatio) and Olinca Hidalgo (Mitzi).
* CrossRegionalVoiceActing: The Latin American Spanish dub of the pilot features voice actors from both Mexico and Colombia.
* {{Defictionalization}}: The club-shaped pin, in a case of TheRedStapler.
* DoingItForTheArt: Tracy answers fan questions (which has created a very enjoyable ArchiveBinge for anyone wanting to learn more about the characters), writes and illustrates drawing tutorials, does fan requests for art, talks about working in the game industry with her fans, and updates an accompanying blog, where she talks about other jobs and Lackadaisy-related work, and posts pictures of cute animals, all because she wants to.
* HeAlsoDid: Valentine Stokes, the voice actor of Zib in the pilot, also voices Axel in ''VideoGame/DeadEstate''.
* NewbieBoom: After the release of the pilot, newcomers have been coming in by the droves, causing the webcomic site to crash multiple times in the week after. With interest being generated for the webcomic itself thanks to its fame. Amusingly this has also caused a bit of AdaptationalDisplacement, with the newcomers never knowing that the pilot was based on a webcomic (making certain ironic presumptions) and some actually thinking that it was ''the other way around''.
* PromotedFanboy: Creator/SungWonCho has done several comic dubs of ''Lackadaisy'', many of which have him voicing Mordecai. He would soon be brought in for official comic dubs which culminated in him voicing Mordecai for real in the animated Pilot.
* ReferencedBy: In 2023, it was revealed that [[https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-2030 SCP-2030-1]] from the Website/SCPFoundation is in fact based on Rocky's character design, as the photo of them used for the article is the author dressed as him. The cast later took notice of this, and a few days later started a Q&A livestream by having Creator/MichaelKovach [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZMGogDbxz4?feature=shared&t=124 read 2030-1's speech from the article as Rocky.]]
* ScheduleSlip: A notorious offender. The update schedule qualified as bi-annual for quite a while. To further complicate matters, the site shows no dates for individual pages other than the copyright year.
** Since 2020, the series has been on hiatus, with series creator Tracy J. Butler, focusing on what would become the pilot of the series. Butler has stated her desire to resume the comic, especially since she’ll be in more of a supervisory role for the series instead of being completely involved in production like the pilot.
* ThrowItIn: According to the animator who did the scene where Freckle would collapse in exhaustion on the coffin, [[https://youtu.be/v5ZDGNRDZN4?t=658 the scene was actually an unplanned personal addition]]. When it was shown to the others, they liked it so much that it was kept in the final product.
* WordOfGay:
** [[http://lackadaisycats.tumblr.com/post/92547755673/this-is-probably-a-weird-question-but-do-the This]] answers that Serafine is bisexual, or at least into some lady cats.
** During a [[http://www.littledaisycafe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=681&p=1067896#p1067896 forum Q&A]], Tracy Butler confirms that Mordecai's asexuality is either "his natural state of being or ... self-imposed."
** After the pilot, it was [[https://lackadaisycats.tumblr.com/post/713487417660899328/i-just-watched-the-lackadaisy-pilot-which-was confirmed]] that Zib's "shall I serenade you personally" comment towards Wick was indeed him flirting, though he's not quite attracted to Wick specifically. He would have followed through with it if Wick was amenable.
* WordOfGod: The pilot is non-canon to the webcomic. Tracy Butler describes it as "a sample platter" of the comic, and the actual series will be a direct adaptation, while some of the pilot’s events will eventually be depicted in the comic.
