Context Trivia / KamenRiderKiva

* ActingForTwo:
** Shoma Yamamoto played Takato Shiramine/Kamen Rider Rey in the ''Kiva'' movie, yet he appears in the television series as Taiga Nobori/Kamen Rider Saga, who has no connection to Takato/Rey.
*** Given that "rey" is Spanish for "king", it makes for a bit of subtle {{foreshadowing}}, but in this case, "rey" is derived from a Japanese word for "cold".
** [[spoiler:Kouhei Takeda playing both Wataru's father Otoya, and his KidFromTheFuture Masao in the GrandFinale]].
** Kivat-Bat III and his father, Kivat-Bat II, are both voiced by Creator/TomokazuSugita, and the two Kivats were reunited near the end of the series. Creator/NorioWakamoto also voiced both Arc Kivat and Rey Kivat in TheMovie, but the two never interacted with each other.
* BonusEpisode: The Hyper Battle DVD, ''Kamen Rider Kiva: You Can Also be Kiva'' was released with an issue of Magazine/TVKun.
* TheDanza: Keisuke Kato as Keisuke Nago.
** An interesting one, while Jiro is played by Kenji Matsuda and his Garulu form is portrayed by suit actor Seiji Taikawa, his suit actor for when he was briefly Ixa is ''Jiro'' Okamato.
* DawsonCasting: ''Averted''. ''Series/KamenRider555'' may have been 5 years earlier, but Yuria Haga was born in 1987, [[FridgeBrilliance which realistically places Mio's birth after the events of '86.]]
* PropRecycling: The same sword weapon is used by several Fangire, including Horse, Frog, Moth and Bishop (Swallowtail).
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: The reason Kiva's four base forms were essentially abandoned in the latter half of the series was because the suits were too heavy for suit actor Seiji Takaiwa due to the fact they used ''real'' metal chains. Thus, Kiva had to rely on the lighter [[SuperMode Emperor Form]] suit for most of the series.
* WriteWhoYouKnow: According to Creator/ToshikiInoue in his father’s biography, Otoya Kurenai’s antics as TheCasanova were based on his father Masaru Igami (who was notably the head writer for many ''Kamen Rider'' seasons of the Shōwa era) [[https://www.asahi.com/showbiz/column/animagedon/TKY201102210265.html being a complicated]] MrViceGuy, and that Otoya’s depiction as a ChivalrousPervert is reflective of Igami’s redeeming qualities that earned him the admiration of his peers and son despite those flaws.
