3	* ApprovalOfGod: In a 2010 interview with ''New York'' magazine, ''Film/{{Downfall}}'' director Oliver Hirschbiegel found the parodies funny, and around the time of the interview saw 145 of them.
4	* AscendedFanon: Of a sort, the meme was so viral and popular that it was recreated in the film ''Film/LookWhosBack''.
5	* FanCommunityNicknames: The people who make the parodies are known as Untergangers, which is derived from ''Der Untergang'', the German title of ''Film/{{Downfall}}''.
6	* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Most Untergangers would resort to downloading scenes from the film, or the whole film itself, in lieu of buying the original, unsubtitled German release. It's pretty much the same case with the spinoff parodies as getting scenes from lesser-known titles legitimately is a chore in itself.
7	* MissingEpisode: Many parodies have been lost for numerous reasons including the creators being MIA or not having a backup for when one of their videos gets taken down.
8	* RecycledScript: The parodies' depiction of Mallory would later become the basis for Unterganger [[Tropers/JohnAlexanderHitchcock HitchcockJohn]] to introduce the character of Firecracker in ''Roleplay/DinoAttackRPG''. Firecracker (which came from a nickname Juan gave Mallory before learning his real name in his original film) took the idea of a psychotic demolitions expert with a coat full of explosives and ran it up to eleven. Sadly, it didn't turn out quite as successful.
9	* ScrewedByTheLawyers: Many of these parodies are derivative works and ''Film/{{Downfall}}'''s distributor Constantin Films blocked the videos from Website/YouTube at one point, though some of them are back up, as parody was ruled fair use. As stated above, the director actually enjoyed them.

He did so, but the blocks ended around that time, so it was only used [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Upcr699_mo for one crossover]].
13	** Some Untergangers released "parody outtakes" videos which featured parodies that are scrapped or never released.
