* CrossDressingVoices: In the UK dubs, the male Luther is voiced by the female Kim Broderick. Averted in the original US version, where Mike [=McAuliffe=] voices him in all games.
* CutSong: Some games' [=HE4=] files contain DummiedOut music.
* DummiedOut: As with other Humongous Entertainment games, unused cutscenes, clickpoints, and inventory items can be found by messing with the INI files. The most well known of these is the infamous "Eddie Eats Luther" cutscene.
* TheDanza: Jason, a VideoGame/PuttPutt {{Expy}} from ''The Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds'', is voiced by Jason Ellefson, Putt-Putt's voice actor at the time.
* DawsonCasting: As opposed to HE games prior to this which featured ChildrenVoicingChildren, Freddi and Luther are voiced by Annette Toutonghi and Mike [=McAuliffe=], respectively, both of whom are adults. Their ages aren't made clear but they are clearly meant to be children since they attend school. Incidentally, they are also the only flagship HE characters to completely avert TheOtherDarrin during their entire run.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Want the UK dub of the fifth game? Good luck -- only '''fifty''' copies of it are known to exist. The German version is less severe, but is still incredibly rare.
** Some of the games were later made available on Steam, at least.
** And ''Case Of The Stolen Conch Shell'' is coming to the UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch.
* NoExportForYou:
** Despite the series being US-based, ''[=ABCs=] Under the Sea'' was exclusive to Europe for nearly three years.
** The later [[TieInNovel Tie-In Novels]] were only published in Dutch.
** All other Freddi Fish titles (including the rest of Humongous' titles, excluding ''The Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds'') were never released in Sweden or Norway.
* SequelGap: ''[=ABCs=] Under the Sea'' was made nearly a decade after the previous game, ''The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove''.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: TheAnimeOfTheGame was to have been created by Lancit Media Entertainment.
** ''The Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds'' was originally being developed for [=MS-DOS=] with low-res (320x200) art similar to the first 2 VideoGame/PuttPutt games. The art style was eventually retooled and led to the hand-animated art style that made the game a KillerApp for early multimedia computers.
** In addition, Freddi and Luther's designs were ''vastly'' different in this iteration as well; Freddi had a pink and purple look (nicknamed the "Barbie" design by the original team), where Luther was still green but had a big nose and a much more comical design.
