!!The games:
* AccidentallyCorrectWriting: Thanks to the limited NES palette, Scrooge's frock coat is red, like in the comics, rather than blue as in the cartoon. ''Remastered'', as a throwback to both media, uses the cartoon color scheme.
* ExecutiveMeddling: A preview of the NES version had crosses on coffins in the Transylvania stage (as shown in the "NES Official Strategy Guide"). However, Nintendo of America had to {{bowdlerise}} the stage so that the coffins now say "R.I.P." on them in the final version of the game.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes:
** Creator/{{Disney}} owns the characters while Creator/{{Capcom}} still owns the source code. This problem kept the original NES game from making it over to the Wii Virtual Console. What happens when Disney and Capcom get talking again? [[CueTheFlyingPigs Yes, BOTH games came out for]] [=PS4=], UsefulNotes/XboxOne [[CueTheFlyingPigs and PC on Steam. At less than $5 per game.]]
** Issues with ''[=DuckTales=]: Remastered''[='=]s licenses, expiring in 2019, caused [[http://www.capcom-unity.com/capkel/blog/2019/08/06/pick-up-ducktales-remastered-on-sale-now-before-it-leaves-digital-storefronts-starting-august-8th?no_redir=1 the game's removal from digital stores]] on August 8-9 that year. Fortunately though, you can still obtain it physically at least.
*** KeepCirculatingTheTapes/{{Rescued}}: However, on March 3, 2020, the license for the game was renewed and it was brought back to digital distribution services on supported platforms.
* LimitedSpecialCollectorsUltimateEdition: The [=PS3=] version of the game had a retail version of the game containing a voucher to download the game and a collector's pin. The Wii U's retail version will also have the collector's pin along with the game disc, but it is exclusive only to Target retailers.
* NoExportForYou: The ''Remastered'' version was not released in Japan. Justified, as the original NES game was made for Western audiences in mind. Averted when the iOS/Android ports came.
* TheOtherDarrin: New actors were hired to play the characters listed below in the remastered version because the original actors[[note]]Joan Gerber, Creator/HalSmith (Gyro and Flintheart) and Creator/HamiltonCamp respectively[[/note]] had passed away by the time the game was developed:
** The new Mrs. Beakley is Creator/WendeeLee.
** The new Gyro is is Chris Edgerly.
** The new Fenton[=/=]Gizmoduck is Creator/EricBauza.
** The new Glomgold is Creator/BrianGeorge.
* RoleReprise: The remastered version features the then-surviving voices from the TV series, including the late TV Legend Creator/AlanYoung as Scrooge [=McDuck=], who was 94 at the time of the game's announcement, and the late voice over legend Creator/JuneForay as Magica [=DeSpell=], who herself was 95 years old at the time. This is definitely justified by Capcom's corporate officer/senior vice-president Christian Svensson, who said when taking a question from a fan: "We have ALL the original voice actors from the show. Scrooge's voice actor, Alan Young, is now 94 years old but he still came into the studio and did his thing like a pro. The voice work really adds a lot to the package."
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** The ''Remastered'' version was originally going to include Scrooge's alter ego, the Masked Mallard (from the episode of the same name), as an unlockable costume.
** Menu screens featuring the Creator/WayForward character VideoGame/{{Shantae}} (from the game of the same name) were found dummied out as well.
** Japanese copies of the NES game kept the infamous "dream and friends" ending from the prototype.
