2	** Has wrestled for TNA under the Christoper Daniels, Curry Man & Suicide gimmicks, with some overlap between the the gimmicks - Curry Man was introduced just before Daniels was written out, Curry Man was written out as Daniels took over the Suicide role, and Daniels was reintroduced just before he relinquished the Suicide role.
3	** Would eventually be lampshaded, as the Motor City Machine Guns "figured out" that Daniels was the man wrestling as Suicide. However, rather than reveal this was the case, the story revealed that Daniels wasn't Suicide - in reality, Daniels had relinquished the gimmick back to Wrestling/FrankieKazarian, who was returning from injury & Daniels had been standing in for.
4	* FakeNationality: Curry Man was an Indian in Fukumen and Japanese in TNA. Given the political brotherhood between the two countries, he could've easily had residence in both with very little issue.
5	* PlayingAgainstType: While running an operation to destroy Ring Of Honor, Daniels put off his Michinoku Pro dates, coming to some of them after bell time, to ensure he did not miss any part of ROH. Yeah, he might take jabs at the fan base and the code but he obviously likes the promotion more than he lets on. Furthermore, every departure from Ring Of Honor he took was not of his own volition.

10	* RecycledScript: Wrestling/AJStyles took part in a war involving the future of TNA. Christopher Daniels, AJ's best friend, came back to TNA to come to his aid in this struggle and became part of the faction AJ fought alongside, tagging up with AJ on several occasions during this time. Sometime after the egomaniacal superstar force that tried to lay siege to TNA was defeated and/or weakened, Daniels would challenge AJ to a match, with Styles winning. Daniels would be consumed with ambition and jealousy, accusing AJ of viewing him as a sidekick and rubbing in his own self-perception of being as good or better than AJ. This led to the two falling out and having bitter heat with each other as they continued to fight over envy and pride. Officially this happened twice, during/after TNA Frontline vs. Main Event Mafia in 2009 and during/after Fortune vs. Immortal in 2011, but shades of this pattern can be traced back to even before the two's real-life friendship became a part of their characters. In early 2003 they teamed once or twice as part of TNA's first takeover stable Sports Entertainment Xtreme, which AJ was simply an ally of while Daniels was a member, then in 2005 "Daniels is jealous of AJ, cue feud" would serve as the impetus to kick off their infamous X-Division Championship rivalry.
11	* ThemeNaming: His son Joshua Allen Covell shares this with AJ Styles' firstborn son Ajay Covell Jones, both of them having a middle name after the other's father (Josh is the younger by 6 months) as well as the same three letters as their initials.

13	** Was supposed to play Vampiro's dark master "Syndrome" in Wrestling/{{WCW}}, but the angle was scrapped.
14	*** Similarly, according to Bruce Prichard, he was the original choice for the Higher Power in Wrestling/{{WWE}}, but Wrestling/VinceMcMahon shot it down.
15	*** According to [[Wrestling/DavidHeath Gangrel]], he was also originally chosen for the third member of The Brood, but Edge suggested Christian for the spot instead due to their chemistry
16	** The original pitch for the Bad Influence gimmick/angle was Daniels black mailing Kazarian by threatening to reveal Kazarian was sleeping with AJ Styles' sister. AJ turned this down because he wouldn't be upset by it, so Claire Lynch was the next pitch. Daniels later admitted it wasn't a very good idea but at the time he was willing to take any excuse to team with Kazarian again.
