* DawsonCasting: While the other actors were close to their characters' ages (some of them were even younger), Touta Tarumi was 28 when he played Jin (who is supposed to be 23).
* MultipleLanguagesSameVoiceActor: A really bizarre version of this happens in the Latin American dubs (both Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese versions): The Spanish dub was done by the ''Brazilian'' voice actors who did the Portuguese dub themselves, rather than hiring native speakers for the job, and the only replacement was the narrator, which was voiced by a Puerto Rican voice actor.
* PropRecycling: The cab of Titan Boy [[http://images.shoutwiki.com/gbwiki/d/d8/ToughTrailerPrototype.jpg was originally a cancelled]] ''Toys/MachineRobo'' toy, then got pulled out of mothballs and remolded for this show; after that, the ''Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos'' line took the Titan Boy cab and turned it into [[http://gbwiki.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Tough_Trailer two different]] [[http://gbwiki.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Pro_Truck_Racer characters]] (they were explained as being brothers to account for their similar looks); one came with a trailer, but couldn't combine with it like Titan Boy did. (For added points, one of the villainous ships was a recycled [[Series/TaiyouSentaiSunVulcan Jaguar Vulcan]].)
* TheOtherDarrin: Eiichi Onoda plays the narrator instead of Nobuo Tanaka, who previously narrated ''Series/DengekiSentaiChangeman''.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen
** A plan for a five-piece robo ran into trouble, with the Second Robo being introduced as compensation. The concept would be fulfilled in the next series.
** Titan the Hero was originally planned to be a semi-regular character who would show up once in a while to help out the Flashman team and pilot the Great Titan. Had this been the case, ''Flashman'' would've been the first Sentai series to feature an [[SixthRanger extra hero]].
