10	** Film Brain's cameo started off berating Kyle for neglecting to expand on the film as a metaphor but veers into Film Brain's increasingly genuinely concern over Kyle's personal well-being. If you've seen ''WebVideo/ToBoldlyFlee'', it expands on the aspect that Film Brain cares for his fellow reviewers, and it's heart-wrenching to see Kyle shut him out (off).

22	* Kyle's review of Creator/AkiraKurosawa's ''Film/{{Ran}}'' gives a sobering look into Kurosawa's life leading up to this movie. By the time he started work on ''Ran'', several of his frequent collaborators had died, and his wife also passed during the creation of the film. Knowing this, Kyle argues, can give the bleak tone of ''Ran'' another layer of poignancy, particularly concerning the character of Hidetora, a man who rose to exemplary success on the battles of ancient Japan, but cannot stave off the spectre of death for much longer.
23	* The full episode name for ''Film/MerryChristmasMrLawrence'' is titled "Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence: A Miserable Holiday Movie for a Miserable Year," and the intro before the title card is Kyle simply reading [[Magazine/TimeMagazine Time: The Year in Review]], then angrily ripping it apart without saying a single word. ''After'' the title card (which plays for only a second), he quickly tries to just get 2016 over with by watching something festive... and the only Criterion film he could find of Christmas [[TearJerker happens to be]] ''Film/MerryChristmasMrLawrence''. 2016 has clearly been rough for him.
24	** As he delves deeper into the film, he identifies the core conflict of the film being based on [[SociopathicSoldier destructive aggression]] [[HonorBeforeReason being justified by normalized moral codes]] [[BlindObedience without questioning why they're normalized at all.]] The most sobering part is when he points out that ''all'' cultures are guilty of this in ''every'' war, and the reason this has to be explored is because ''all of us'' are capable of doing the same thing.

The tragedy is we may never know the ways in which we hurt each other... but to overcome that? [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments Maybe it's just a matter of seeing the humanity in the enemy.]]
26	* The demise of "Cinema Antifa" due to all the hate and harassment he got over it.
27	* His long, long video on ''Film/TheAtomicCafe'' is a rough watch, especially given it's especially grim subject matter of nuclear annihilation, nuclear-era propaganda, and normalization of those two things, but especially how it ended up relating to his own experiences with normalization [[spoiler:in regards to the 2019 COVID pandemic,]] where he increasingly shows cracks in his usual affect, sounding increasingly pained, exasperated, panicked by the pandemic, especially after his bout with a pulmonary embolism, and a pair of deeply uncomfortable moments in the Normalization section where he seems seconds from breaking down into tears entirely. He only barely hangs on for most of the video...until a smash cut at the very end, where he reveals that [[CreatorBreakdown he did indeed break down,]] but is in a better place at the time of filming.
