7	* The opening where Padmé's ship explodes, and we think that she has been killed from the impact. Then the pilot takes off her helmet, revealing herself as the real Padme. It doesn't lessen her anguish as [[PleaseDontLeaveMe she begs for her bodyguard Corde to stay with her]]. Corde merely says SorryThatImDying before closing her eyes, and Padme stares with grief and horror. It's also the first time onscreen that we see the sacrifices that the bodyguards have to make by impersonating the queen.
8	* A CryForTheDevil moment: Zam Wesell gets injured and captured, and as a result Obi-Wan and Anakin interrogate her politely. They don't use any Jedi Mind tricks, just PolitenessJudo, seeing that she's incapacitated, and then she gets ''killed'' in front of them as she's about to reveal her employer's name.
9	** It's even worse if you've played ''Bounty Hunter'', which depicts Zam and Jango as having a working relationship that's ten years old. She wasn't just killed by a random employer, but a long-standing comrade.
10	* The end where a 10-year-old Boba Fett is seen picking up his father's helmet.
11	** Jango's only fee ([[ComicallyMissingThePoint Aside from his considerable pay]]) for donating his DNA was having an unaltered clone. The novelization has Obi-Wan note that perhaps Jango [[DotingParent only wanted]] [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes a son]], rather than someone to replace him.
12	** If you read the "Young Boba Fett" books, he (Boba) mentions that he thought that Padmé Amidala was exactly how he'd imagined his mother to be. The sight of him as such a young, innocent, idealistic child, and knowing what will happen to him in the future...
13	* Shmi Skywalker's death. She's been captured by Tusken Raiders, tortured to near death, and [[DiedInYourArmsTonight dies in her son's arms]], just managing to get out "I... love..." before dying. Anakin's utterly broken plea for her [[PleaseDontLeaveMe stay with him]] complete with trembling jaw and watering eyes... Anyone who has ever lost a parent will know his sorrow.
14	** And what follows is a heartbreaking RoaringRampageOfRevenge as Anakin massacres the Raiders' village (including the women and children). And then, after that, he has a massive MyGodWhatHaveIDone HeroicBSOD.
15	*** Even more heartbreaking in Legends for a simple reason: former Jedi Sharad Hett had lived with the Tusken and led a coalition of tribes. [[YouShallNotPass The Tusken attacking Anakin knew exactly what they were facing but fought on anyway to try and gain enough time to let their families escape]]... [[SenselessSacrifice But failed]].
16	** Yoda's meditation of the whole affair beginning with Qui-Gon (probably the only person other than Shmi and Padme who had absolute faith in Anakin becoming a great Jedi) crying Anakin's name before screaming [[BigNo "No!"]] and fading away to Darth Vader's iconic breathing. Creator/FrankOz's performance just sells the immense sorrow and concern he feels for Anakin.

19	** There's also a brief argument (in the novelization as well as early drafts of the script) between Cliegg and Owen about whether or not Shmi should have gone out.
20	* "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jALL1_KdN8 Across The Stars]]." The credits version even more so, which segues into a mournful rendition of Anakin's theme from ''Phantom Menace'' before ending with the ominous bass strains of "the Imperial March." The strings are ''heartbreaking'' as they build and swell, hammering home that Anakin and Padme's love is real, it is powerful, and it is utterly, pitifully doomed.
21	* Obi-Wan, taken captive by the Separatists, is confronted with Count Dooku who tells him that he regrets Qui-Gon's death and would have liked them to work together. Obi-Wan retorts that Qui-Gon would never have joined up with Dooku. His tone and facial expression show that he's ''[[TranquilFury furious]]'' and that even after ten years the loss still ''hurts like hell''. So much for no attachments, ey?
22	** Some FridgeBrilliance: It's SchrodingersCanon now, but apparently, Dooku left the Order within a year of Qui-Gon's death. Which, combined with this scene, rather makes one wonder WhatCouldHaveBeen.
23	** According to ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTalesOfTheJedi'', Dooku had been flirting with the Dark Side for quite some time, nearly force choking a corrupt Senator to death until Qui-Gon stopped him. Dooku commends Qui-Gon for his actions and says that Qui-Gon is a much wiser man himself, the same words that Qui-Gon would say to Obi-Wan before his death. Dooku had been aligned with Darth Sidious since before ''The Phantom Menace'', yet he still held great affection for Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon's death at the hands of Maul made Dooku realize just how wrong his actions were, but similar to Darth Vader, continues to serve Sidious on the grounds that he's gone too far to redeem himself.
24	* In a DeletedScene, while visiting Padme's parents Anakin finds a photograph of Padme doing intergalactic community service. She tells him she was helping to save a species named Shadda-Bi-Boran from their own home planet whose sun was dying, and that they "were" wonderful. When Anakin asks, "''Were''?" she somberly tells him that [[ShootTheShaggyDog the species couldn't live off their planet and eventually became extinct]], meaning her work was AllForNothing. Yet she kept doing that work, despite the losses, until she became queen.
25	* Also from the novelization, Padme notes that the Separatists are an UngratefulBastard lot for how she pleaded for mercy on their behalf, despite the fact that they invaded her planet and enslaved her people, and to return the favor they've tried to kill her. It doesn't even make sense from a PragmaticVillainy standpoint to eliminate an opponent that prefers clemency to violence. Granted, Palpatine was manipulating them to assassinate Padme since she opposes his rapid rise to power, and probably played on the Separatists' emotions.
26	* Meeting Owen and Beru as a polite young couple, hospitable to and concerned for the stepbrother they've only just met ... and knowing all along that they're DoomedByCanon to be ''murdered on his orders''.
27	* That sweet kid from ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' has been unwittingly under Public Enemy Number One's influence the past ten years--and Public Enemy Number One has cultivated [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borderline_personality_disorder borderline personality disorder]] in him.
28	* A minor case, but the aliens in the Geonosian Colosseum. According to WordOfGod, these creatures were taken from their native worlds and starved and abused for what may well have been ''years'' for them to be ready to fight and kill whatever they end up in contact with. By the time we see them, they're feral monstrosities, each ready to devour the heroes in a single gulp. To make it worse, the Reek (the bull-like creature) is supposed to be a ''herbivore'', but it was force fed nothing but meat in an attempt to make it more ferocious.
29	* The military parade at the end, with the heroic Clone Troopers that saved the Jedi on Geonosis being shown to the galaxy to reassure the loyalist people that the Republic ''will'' protect them... [[WhamLine While the Imperial March plays]] and we get a close-up on Palpatine, so that the viewers realize [[RootingForTheEmpire they've been cheering on the (future) villains the whole time]] and the kind Chancellor is actually the BigBad.
30	** The Imperial March is an in-universe tune, and a very famous one (a ''battledroid'' hums it during the Clone Wars), that in Legends exists at least since [[VideoGame/StarWarsTheOldRepublic the Great Galactic War]]. Nothing strange it plays here... But soon enough, it will be appropriated by the Empire and turned into a symbol of oppression.
31	* Anakin and Padme's lonely wedding. They have no one else they can trust, so R2 and 3PO are their only witnesses. They then, having nothing else to give without exposing the marriage, exchanged the droids as wedding gifts to each other.
