He keeps it a secret because he doesn't want to do any work around the house, and when Judy finds out, he even goes so far as to deliberately ruin a meal to try to get out of making dinner. Judy catches on when Bill secretly whips up a delicious version of the same meal and tries to eat it in the bathroom. Though it turns out that Judy is turned off by Bill's effeminate behavior in the kitchen and he still gets out of it.
