Andy is also a friend of Vero and Tuca, who run a radio. Vicky is Loli's best friend. Loli's father Clemente run the Macan enterprise, were other former students work, as Guillermo. 14* AbortedArc: In the first episodes, Vero loved Andy and did not dare to say it out loud. As episodes go on, the whole thing was forgotten.
** Also for Patricia's "vengueance" plot against the others. Other than having Guillermo fired, she did not advance a single bit: she's just mean. She even fell in love with Pablo, the bully that insulted her in the school. Initially, it seemed as if she was faking love in order to manipulate him, but there have been no more hints since many months ago.
* AllJustADream: Patricia visited the Goddzer in the night, and killed Elías with a knife... of course, it was Danna having bad dreams.
* AnimatedAdaptation: The intro had animated versions of the characters.
* ApatheticCitizens: Loli and Vicky get into the bathroom, drunk and about to vomit. Loli finds Martin having sex with a girl, and escapes; and Martin runs after her. Vicky collapsed to the ground, and also Jimena, pushed to the side by Martín while he left. They were left there.
* AsHimself: César Banana Pueyrredón, Fabiana Cantilo, Martín Palermo, Guillermo Cóppola, etc.
* AutoErotica: That's how Andy and Loli gave birth to Martín.
* BackForTheFinale: Guillermo, Charly García
* BeleagueredAssistant: Mao, Betty and Clara
* BigScrewedUpFamily: The Falsini/Catáneo/Goddzer
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: So what has happened with Azul Vega? (the blond girl at the right of the second photo)
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Aware that Patricia is hiding something, Loli, Guillermo and Vicky took a strange CD from her. It was a commercial of a great German doctor, who made several plastic surgeries (including the classic "before" and "after" images). Did they suspect that Patricia was fat and now thin, or that she changed her face? No: they thought she was a man, turned into a woman.
* ComingOutStory: Guillermo is gay, and in fact he was all the time, even during high school, but he only said it openly during the reunion of former students. They were all shocked, but supported him... with the exception of Pablo.
* CrappyHolidays: Due to unexpected circumstances, they are reunited at the same bar during the Friendship Day. It did not turn out very well: they remembered that they were never united but divided in two groups, Guillermo felt insulted by Patricia, Patricia has to hear them failing to remember the fat Jimena Benitez and then making fun of her (and it was her, which is still her secret), and Andy... Andy has to endure the Friendship Day with Loli and Bon Jovi, after Loli broke up her romance with him.
* CulturalTranslation: The remakes in Chile and Colombia did not have a success so big as the Argentine version. This is because the original program is filled with references to Argentine rock, and the Argentine audience enjoys it. But Chile and Colombia do not have that many Rock artists to make a good replacement of references. As a result, the remakes are still filled with references to the Argentine rock, who are of course foreign artists in Chile and Colombia, and will not make the local audiences get a lot interested because of being mentioned.
* DistantPrologue: The series start in 1989, during a graduation day party. Then it jumps to 2012, the time period of the actual series.
* EasilyOverheardConversation:
** The way that Elias discovered that he was grandparent. Andy did not deny anything.
** Averted when Loli first visited Andy's house, suspecting the parental issue. Dana got behind the door, to overhear their conversation... and Elías saw her, and shoo her, give Andy some privacy, damn it!
* EstablishingCharacterMoment
** Bon Jovi first appears (in the modern time) washing himself, making gym and enjoying his own body in front of the mirror.
** Andy's first action is to pee with the bathroom door opened, and Gaby's first action is to complain about it.
* EurekaMoment
** The way Loli figured out that Patricia Longo is actually Jimena Benítez. She remembered all the small hints, put two and two toguether, and got to the inevitable conclusion.
** Also in the first episode. After meeting Andy again, Loli figures out that he's the father of Martin, and not Martin.
* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: The basic plot idea.
* FatBastard: Played with. Patricia was fat, she's not fat anymore, but being fat turned her into a bastard, who wants vengueance against those who laughed about her.
* FeetFirstIntroduction: The very first scene.
* Flashback: It is done all the time, referring to events that took place during their high school years. The FlashbackEffects turn the action to DeliberatelyMonochrome mode.
* MyEyesAreUpHere: When Pablo first met Patricia, he did not recognize her as Jimena. Not surprising... he was not looking to her face.
* HappyDance: When Gaby told that she would get married with Marito, Mao improvised a HappyDance in the office: the Oppa Gangnam Style.
* HappyMarriageCharade: Guillermo is gay, Victoria has to settle being her friend, and Guillermo falls in love with Fernando. And then... Fernando's former wife, and mother of their daughter Luna, shows up, ignoring that Fernando is gay now. What to do? Guillermo and Vicky act as if they were HappilyMarried, to avoid suspicions.
* HereWeGoAgain: The whole story began when Andy Goddzer, working as dog walker, answered a request and unexpectedly found a childhood friend... who had a son with him, that he never knew about. In the last episode, Dany Goddzer, working as dog walker, answered a request and unexpectedly found a childhood friend... who had a daughter with him, that he never knew about.
* HeroicVow: Andy, Tuca and Vero made a vow in 1989. 1º: No romantic relations or marriages. 2º: Never apply for a corporate job. 3º: At least 2 parties in the week. 4º: No sons or daughters. Of course, Andy had already broke the 4º one, but he would only know that 19 years in the future.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Loli and Vicky
* HighSchoolRocks: for all the former students, except for Patricia, for whom HighSchoolIsHell
* HonorBeforeReason: Gaby discovered by accident that Patricia and Pablo are a couple. She was forced into secrecy, but through a series of overheard conversations the news reaches Andy. He knows that Pablo is cheating on Loli... but did not tell her. After all, he has no proof, he had not seen it himself, and Loli is having enough problems as it is.
* IllNeverTellYouWhatImTellingYou: Gaby overhears that Patricia's son is actually Pablo's and not Clemente's. She arrives home desperated, because KeepingSecretsSucks, and she's already exhausted of being the SecretKeeper. She will not tell Andy what's going on, but he insisted. By her face, he recognized it was a secret involving Patricia. And giving a "it has happened to you" as an excuse to avoid talking did not help: Andy immediately put two and two toguether, and understood what is it all about (although without Pablo's name).
* IWarnedYou: Each time there's such a situation, it's the moment to mention the song "Yo te avisé" by Music/LosFabulososCadillacs.
* LivingProp: Sofía. She began as Martín's love interest, then Luna came in, and Sofía was demoted.
* MakingLoveInAllTheWrongPlaces: Martín had sex with a girl in the batroom of the school during the graduation party, and Loli found him.
* NobodyCallsMeChicken: Bon Jovi called Andy "Flequillo mariposa" while he was leaving. He turned and picked a fight.
* NostalgiaFilter: Averted. They are always having nostalgia of the "good old times" back in the 80's, but they never take it to comparisons with current music, current lifestyle or anything else.
* NotUnderTheParentsRoof: Loli finds women's private clothing at Martin's room, and berates him because of it. Andy (his biological parent) says to leave him alone, that having sex is a normal thing and he does not understand which is the big deal, and Pablo (his adoptive parent) praises him for being a winner with the ladies. Nobody seems to acknowledge that he keeps saying that he had no sex and does not know how did those clothes ended up in there.
* OneWordTitle
* OpenSecret: The secret of Andy being Martín's true father. Everybody knows and tries to avoid indicating that either Pablo or his brother Augusto know... but Pablo found out on his own. He didn't tell that he knew it, until he decided what to do about it. When Loli shouted it out, the big deal was that it was said out loud: it wasn't new to anyone.
** And again with the identity of Patricia as Jimena. In the end, everybody (and that means everybody) knew that, except for Pablo himself.
* PhotographicMemory: When it comes to their high school years, all of the graduados have it. "The music teacher? Sorry, I can't recall her face, it's been too many years" is not a valid answer, ever.
** Actually, there is a thing some of them forgot: the fat girl, Jimena Benítez. First, they did not remember her, and then they make fun of her in absentia... with Patricia right there with them. And, as told somewhere else, Patricia is really Jimena Benítez.
* PlatonicLifePartners: Andy and Tuca (male) and Vero (female). There's no romance between either of them, in fact they all have their own romantic issues with other peoples, and there's no jealously about it. In fact, they welcome it if their friend is happy, and take it personal if someone makes the other suffer.
* PlotHole: Two questions were frequently raised. It's easy while being a slaker living at daddy's home, but how will Andy provide for a wife and son, being just a dog walker? And what about Martín, will he live with Andy or with Pablo? The final episode did not clarify either one. Martín is just enjoying himself, and Andy and Loli ride into the sunset.
* RidingIntoTheSunset: Andi and Loli. The end.
* RuleOfPool: Loli panicked in the WildTeenParty when she saw Martín. He must not see her... so Andy pushed her to the pool.
* SwitchingPOV: a usual trick for flashbacks. For certain reasons, the different characters have contemporary flashbacks of a same old event, but each one under his own perspective, which complements the others. For example, Pablo remembers that Loli was missing in a certain event of a party, and Loli remembers where was she back then.
* TechnoBabble: Vicky's use and abuse of psycology jargon. Most of the time, it is well used, but other times it is abused (using arcane words when simpler words would suffice), and from time to time it is used incorrectly.
** Justified with Luna. She is, after all, a teenager with dreams of becoming a psycologist, and not an actual psycologist with degree.
* TheEighties: The show is a monument to the decade. There are constant evocations and nostalgia. Even to the point that the high-school students graduated in... 1989.
* TheReveal: The DNA test that proved that Martín is the son of Andy and not Pablo. Loli tried to confess it, but she was interrupted, and Pablo found the test results in the locker on his own later.
* TimeSkip: The first episode does not begin with a fashback, but with action set in 1989. Graduation night, Pablo cheats Loli, Loli finds him and leaves with Andy, they have sex, Loli leaves in the night, Andy return home and falls to his bed... and the series continue 19 years later.
* VillainSong: The "Pichila dance" by Pablo and Augusto.
* WhatTheHellHero: During the 1989 graduation, Vicky did not cope well with drinking alcohol, and was about to vomit. Loli helped her to the ladies' room, to use a toilet for that... and they found Pablo having sex with another girl. Loli tossed Vicky to a side, as if she was a rag doll, and left crying... yes, it makes sense in context, but poor Vicky.
* WildTeenParty: Andy, Tuca and Vero organized one for Martín's birthday... at Clemente's mansion.
